Necey begins to follow the others out behind the duergar, then turns back to the librarian. "Still... Something doesn't feel right,"she states."So,are you sure no one else came through here ahead of us? Because there was only one way out that we saw when we left that secret necromancer's room."
Kat hurries back, her eyes wide and some of her old excitement back. "There's a plot and there are four people in grey cloaks huddled up and they said something about a gnome not being a problem and there are secret passages in the walls and also I think there are more spiders coming!" She's breathing hard with excitement, the beginnings of a grin on her face. "Guys, it's amystery!"
OOC: My point being. No gender was given. Hooded figures did go through the panel that funnels into the library that's massive. Y'all did not follow immediately. Y'all searched the room then took a while to go through the panel. Y'all then went through the panel Golver first whom entered the library I'll say a half an hour after the hooded figures fled through the panel. The elven librarian was simply in the library when y'all came through.
OOC: Oops. Overlooked the vanishing in a puff of smoke part.
"It'll be okay, Glover. I'm sure we can find you another cloak." Necey walks next to the dragonborn and places a small hand on his, trying to calm him. "Don't worry. We'll do better on the next test," she says cheerily.
As they are being led back to their quarters, she asks the dwarf, "So whose her sister?"
"Dumat," the dwarf answers gruffily. "All the elves here are descendants of the Caelano dynasty," he adds curtly moving out of the immense library towards a set of stone steps off a long gallery of portraits.
The dwarf doesn't hurry but leads the party to their dormitory.
"You'll likely be summoned before dinner," the gray skinned dwarf offers before turning around and heading out the door.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
As Necey places her hand on Golvers and mentions getting another cloak, The large dragonborn would take a deep breath and squeeze her hand firmly. "You... don't understand... I cannot just replace that cloak" Golver would say looking down to the floor before looking away from the halfling while rubbing his eyes with his other hand. "That cloak is magical... and much more importantly it was a gift from my father... for... making him proud... for once... only once..." The large dragonborn would say as he looks to Necey with shimmering eyes and releases her hand. Golver would quickly look away and try to put a bit if distance between himself and the others as he makes his way back to the room. Once in the room, Golver would sit on the side of his bed with his head in his hands... occasionally mumbling a bit as if he were having an argument in his head that occasionally bubbled over into words.
OOC: I went through and realized an update didn't save on my posts. IDK why?! Two things: the elevn woman is a dark elf but you're unsure if she's drow or a moon elf her skin is a unique grayish-purple-bluish tint. She could even have mixed heritage!! She's also wearing fine robes purple and silver trimmed. Her focus as I said is a wand. The site ate edits and whole posts yesterday?!

What seems like several hours pass as the party awaits their fate. Then just when you think dinner should be served a group of duergar servants appear an escort the party out of their dormitory.
"The council has assembled. You will plead your case before them," the same dwarf that brought you from the library explains as he leads you out.
Downstairs the party is lead down a long cooridor lit by a famailar magical flame. It seems endless but soon they find themselves outside of large metal clad doors, siege doors, where they are stopped.
"My suggestion," the duergar begins, "is to speak when spoken to and nothing else! Your magic will be stripped from you in there but trust me when I tell you the sisters and their allies are far from defenseless," the ashen face dwarf explains with his beady black eyes looking at each of you in turn. "Proceed," he then instructs as the dwarves open the doors but do not enter then close the doors behind the party once inside.
It's a throne room this is evident. Nine thrones are assembled with one however only slightly higher as eight, four on each side, are lower than the center throne.
"It seems we're at an impasse," the famailar voice of the woman whom welcomed you begins to speak from the centered throne. She is a beautiful drow woman with waist length silver hair and piercing red eyes. She stands letting her purple and silver robes settle around her as the others remain silent. The party recognized the librarian at whom they can only assume is Dumat right hand and the gnome seated at the middle of the left side. The bundle is no where to be seen. "Why did you choose to wander from the path," she then asks curiously her tone soft.

Golver would take a step forward, his back heaving with every breath as he tries his best to remain calm. "We wandered from the path because we.... or... I... Thought that was the goal. You sent us into an illusionary forest that seemed to stretch forever with no goal... no victory condition.. other than basically not to believe your eyes." The dragonborn would say as his voice continues to get louder untill he catches himself and pauses a moment. "I didn't know that when I found the secret door that it wasn't part of our test... and then when we found the body..." Golver would say reaching into his pocket and pulling out the mask that the master had on when he found the body and hold it up. "I wanted to make sure we brought it back... I... Was always tought that it was my responsibility to make sure no one is ever left behind during my time in the military...."
A gasp is heard throughout the room when the mask is produced! The gnome however speaks.
"As you can see I'm quiet alive mistress Dumat. These children simply stumbled onto an illusion. As your sister Sona so intelligently out to you earlier. I was preparing a task for the passages but had yet to complete it. The task set for these little ones had been the tree of choice to the armory to riddle out the chess maze NOT this...this tomfoolery with dead bodies meant to look like me obviously created by Aryalaris," he adds his tone hard now as another elven figure, half elf this time, stands abruptly from his seat! "He's still sour I was appointed head of the bard's school," he adds with a sneer on his gnomish face.
"Please spare me the trouble of telling you again I'm a alchemists Everret and NOT a minstrel! Anyhow everyone knows my jokes would never harm anyone or evolve a feign death," the dark skinned half-elf exclaims standing next to to librarian still seated His hands on his hips! "Mother," the half-elf begins again looking to Dumat, "I would never put the tests or school in jeopardy," he exclaims his tone scandalized!
"Enough," Dumat says holding her hands out to her son and the gnomish council member who fall quiet. "Anyone else care to share their view or do you let the dragonborn speak for all of you," she asks the party next with a curiously cocked eyebrow.
"He told you how it was, if your tests are so badly designed that it is so easy to go astray then maybe you should put a little more effort into their design." Caerlan says as he steps forward "More importantly something is clearly afoot, you may have a problem in your house and if you spend you time berating us something more serious may occur. I think it is time more investigation into what we found is undertaken. Who were those we observex, if you don't know I suggest you make every effort to find out." Suddenly realising what he has just done Caerlan goes very still as his colour heads dangerously crimson.

Golver would look over to Caerlan and give him a small nod and a smile before whispering to the gnome. "Didnt you look over the body really closely.. there is no way that body was an illusion.. I carried that leaking corpse around for quite a while" Golver would say locking eyes with Caerlan before quietly looking to kat and necey.
"Yeah, what my friends said. That last test seemed a bit silly." Necey pipes up. She then nods at Golver, "Yes, that body seemed real enough when I took a look at it." She begins to pace back and forth, scratching her chin as she does so. "So, this was just an illusion? Can you recreate it?"
"Your response is to blame and criticize those who wish to raise you from obscurity," tge librarian they named Sona nearly ejects from her chair wand at the ready glaring at the party until Dumat turns to her and without seeing her face the librarian puts the wand away in her robes.
"I have not berated you sir and if my family...." Dumat says eyeing her son and sister now, "has mistreated any of you this is a failure on our part," she explains. "The test was broken yes and you discovered the flaw and I commend you, all of you," she adds. "Your discover of this imposter is quiet a feat but insist this body you found is who's I am unclear. Did you see the face before among our number? A mask proves very little as does the robes of another," she reminds the party before pausing. "The body was wearing your robes master Everett," she then says to the gnome in the edge of his seat. "My son does love his pranks but I doubt he'd attempt one so grave during a trial," she adds next whirling around as the gnome opens his mouth to speak but closes it again. "The body has been examined," she then says turning back to the party. "It's no illusion but the man is unknown to us and is not a member of this council," she explains as a group of duergar appear one carrying Golver's cloak cleaned and pressed. "You will recover this evening and start the test afresh tomorrow. That is unless you find my school beneath you," she looks at Caerlan directly as she speaks. "If so you can depart and have no knowledge of your wasted time here," she explains gesturing out over the group.
