"Oi! That was mine!"Grumbling, Orilo takes a seat on berserker's chest and channeled some of his divine energies into mending his wounds. Stonecutter ran around, getting himself into position bleating what sounded like laughter at the goliath's expense. And after he's done with that one, he glares and make a chomping notion at the remaining one.
All that is left at Yester Hill is a pile of dead druids and berzerkers. As you catch your breath and recover, they slowly decompose and return to the ground from whence they came.
Leo catches up to you all. "You have thinned their numbers for now. But, is anyone, or anything, truly dead in this land?"He ponders.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Eh. Does it matter? So long as the blight exist, so too will the shadows remain in one form or another."Orilo states dryly as he joined the others. His nightmarish visage returning to normal along the way. Though a few white flames linger and dance in sparse groups along any exposed skin before fading from existence.. "At least for now it will take them some time to recover and cause trouble."He looks to the others, gauging their various condition. By the time he gets to Winter, Stone Cutter has already lightly headbutted her a few times then lowered himself in offering of a ride.
"Hmn. Take five if you need it. I'm gonna have a look around. See if any of those wildlings left behind anything we can use at their alter." He tosses a thumb back towards the statue, and then starts over for a look around. Whether he finds something or not within the hour, Ori begins work dismantling the ghastly thing if no one objects to it.
"If the ****ers get back up, we'll knock them down again and keep doing so until they realize that Barovia has some new sheriffs in town. Does anyone need help? Outside of Winter, of course." Anborn looks at Oreo searching the trees and attacking the statue of what he assumes to be Strahd. "How about we go back to Vallaki when he finishes up?"
At the south end of the hilltop is a sickly copse, a grove of dead trees and shrubs with a huge, misshapen tree at its core. Blood oozes like sap from its twisted trunk. Skulking around the tree are six gangly humanoid creatures covered with needles. Embedded in the tree is a shiny battleaxe, beneath which lies a humanoid skeleton.
Without breaking eye contact on the scene, Orilo answers Corrin's comment by letting the head of the flail fall loose and a crooked grin. After taking the first step forwards towards the trees he stops, looks back to the others, and motions them to quietly come join him. Stone Cutter heeds the call to action without needing the gesture, taking winter along with him if she decided to hop onboard earlier.
"Look at them. Little more than timber." He says at least for Corrin's sake. "Hardly a warm-up. But that axe... We could use that." He admits, but inwardly he adds 'Probably'.

Orilo wrinkles his nose. "Consider that. But it's been getting... difficult. Not sure if its just the hollowing catching up with me again, or-...."His expression falls into... sadness? Worry? It's hard to say in the brief moment the emotions play across his features. With a snort, he pushes feeling down and masks it behind a veneer of mild annoyance. "A moment then." The divine-blooded goliath sucks in a deep breathe through his nose and stirs divine senses to activity.
Though whether he finds anything or not, his mind had been made up seeing the site ahead of them.
The presence of strong evil registers on your senses like a noxious odor, and powerful good rings like heavenly music in your ears. As an action, you can open your awareness to detect such forces. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity (the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance). Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.
Seeing that the fight was indeed over, Winter breathes a sigh of relief as she picks up her rapier to put it away before blinking in confusion at the goat headbutting her (good) side. It took her a moment to realize what the animal had wanted, but when it did click, she gladly took a seat on its back. "Thank you, ah, Stone Cutter, I believe is your name. Excuse me again for, um, stabbing your behind." Her lips thin as she looks at her ruined clothing, chiding herself in being so reckless. "I'll be okay, I've been through worse. Thank you for helping me, Anborn, Corrin." The rogue gives them a nod, very appreciative of their healing.
She doesn't move when the goat makes his way to his owner, instead she takes a gander at the axe in question. "Anything bad you sense about that axe, Orilio?"

The battle axe is fairly new, and it's wooden handle is intricately carved. It almost seems to glow somewhat. What's more creepy is that the tree is actively bleeding.
Anborn smiles back at Winter. "You've had worse? Perhaps when this is over we can talk about all the people who've tried to kill us and see who's had it worse. Do you want me to fix your clothes? There's a spell I know that'll fix them right up, good as new if you give me a minute. It's how I've kept my coat in one piece for the last four years."

Winter -- and anyone nearby for that matter -- could swear Stone Cutter not only grunted in approval, but also let out another "Dah!"sounding ba in answer. But nothing more than that again as he seemed more into hungrily eyeing the walking bramble. As for Orilo, the goliath remains quiet in answer for a time, rubbing his chin in thought. "Not from the axe, no... Though I have my suspicions." He points over to the blood-like sap. "While I can't be certain, it seems to be blessed in a different way. Perhaps that tree was in some way the source of power for the wildings. One suppressed by that axe."
He trails off grumbling and shaking his head. "Either way, we're not done here. If you lot wish to get the jump on those guards there. Now might be a good time 'fore they take interest in us. Once you do, me, Elya, and Stone Cutter and clean up the rest."

After thanking Anborn for the mending of her clothes, Winter's eyes narrow at the figures, taking out her crossbow once more before hopping off the 'not-talking-but-totally-did talk'-ing goat. "Hopefully this grabs their attention." She says, aiming down sights on one of the humanoids and shoots.

The two twig creatures you attack easily crumble under your assault. It's almost as if the tree itself is making these creations.
