The graveyard is only a short walk north of town. A fence of wrought iron with a rusty gate encloses a rectangular plot of land. Tightly packed gravestones shrouded by fog bear the names of souls long passed. All seems quiet. Let's have a perception check. I'll take the first one over 15.
Elya saw it first. The first horrible thing was the mutilated dead body of what looks like the remains of a young man. The second was the low guttural growl of something feral in the woods nearby. There is something there, and it's huge.
The largest black wolf with red eyes you've ever seen in your life slowly emerges from the forest. It's twice the size of a bear and looks like it's had a regular regiment of steroids.

Winter's eyes go wide at the wolf, her hands automatically flying to reach for her crossbow, aiming down on her sights and ready to take a shot at the beast. Her eyebrow twitches in irritation at Elya trying to make friends with this stupid disgusting dog and keeps her finger on the trigger in case he attacks her.
Initiative (if needed): 21

As the least perceptive of the group, Orilo had to have the corpse pointed out to him. The wolf, on the other hand...
"Now you see why I warned we move sooner." He says, reminding Anborn and the rest of the beginning. "Don't bother, Elya. Everyone. Stick close. Especially you, Corrin. Don't break away, or it will pick us off." Orilo's eyes never leave the great beast as he spoke to the others and drew his flail to have it ready to strike the moment it comes in close. For a moment, his eyes start turning into black pits as he glared at the wolf, hoping to at least unnerve the creature if nothing else.

Anborn sighed as Elya tried and failed to make friends with this bloodthirsty creature. He readied a Guiding Bolt for when it inevitably tried to attack her.

Elya takes her maul back out and begins her rage, blue lightning flickering around her body and arcing towards the creature (DC 13 dex save or 5 lightning, half on successful save) before trying to bash it's head in with her weapon. Attack: 20 Damage: 16

"Not. This. Time." Orilo vows, narrowing all of his enmity on the wolf. For nothing else mattered in the moment. Not even the monster from the church. His focus set the goliath joins Elya in intercepting the beast with his own strike, and divine spark added to the blow.
Bonus Action: Channel Divinity - Vow of Enmity(granting Orilo advantage on all attacks).

Viscerios, greatly wounded from your attacks, yelps and growls as the hits land - it opens it's mouth and unleashes a horrible spew of inky shadow bile at Elya and Oreo: DC15 DEX save or take 21 damage, half if you make the save.

Anborn is up if you have any reactions to use. Otherwise:
Viscerios didn't stand a chance. With Elya's final blow, the creature sprawls to the ground with a loud thump and rapidly melts back into the ground, bubbling.
There is a mutilated body by the graves, and a small brown burlap sack near it. Looks like someone was trying to bury some bones.
Anborn picks up the sack and ties it up again. "We got what we came here for. Now let's go back to Vallaki before Strahd comes back and makes it so that there's no village to return to."

Staring at the corpse, Elya mutters, "What the..."
She tightens her grip on her maul, but as she sees the wolf approach she puts it away slowly and puts both hands forward defensively, palms open.
"Down boy, we're not here to cause you any trouble."
