Corrin chuckles at the giant's response as he moves away. "I think I like him. He seems fun," he mutters apparently to himself as he chases after the others. He follows Song and Elya. "What'd we find?"

Gossamer drapes cover the windows of this elegantly appointed hall, which has a brass-plated chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Upholstered chairs line the walls, and stained-glass wall hangings depict beautiful men, women, and children singing and playing instruments. A harpsichord with a bench rests in the northwest corner. Near the fireplace is a large standing harp. Alabaster figurines of well-dressed dancers adorn the mantelpiece. Close inspection of them reveals that several are carvings of well-dressed skeletons.

DINING ROOM
The centerpiece of this wood-paneled dining room is a carved mahogany table surrounded by eight high-backed chairs with sculpted armrests and cushioned seats. A crystal chandelier hangs above the table, which is covered with resplendent silverware and crystalware polished to a dazzling shine. Mounted above the marble fireplace is a mahogany-framed painting of an alpine vale. The wall paneling is carved with elegant images of deer among the trees. Red silk drapes cover the windows, and a tapestry depicting hunting dogs and horse-mounted aristocrats chasing after a wolf hangs from an iron rod bolted to the south wall.

Corrin eyes the dancing skeletons warily. "That's a bit macabre, no? The children's parents really went all in on their theme." Picking up where others have been successful, the halfling looks around the fireplace and harpsichordfor any false doors or hidden compartments.

Ledanra instantly appreciates the lavish touches to the dining room. Not quite to my tastes, but certainly a sufficiently opulent room to dine in.Wandering around the perimeter of the room, she takes in the material on the chairs, the veneer of the wood, and the quality of the silverware. She looks around behind the drapes, curious as to whether there is anything 'secret' hidden away.
Ledanra continues her walk around the dining room, ending back at the door she entered through. It isn't odd that there should be a fully set table, but that it is so clean and meticulously laid out, strikes her as strange in such a sparsely populated place. Something is amiss here, those children were too calm and, even by my own standards, cold. I'd best catch up to the others, make sure they haven't broken too much of the finery around here.
She heads upstairs to join the others in the conservatory.
"The room with the bookcase had a hidden door that we found when Winter pulled the right book. Perhaps we might find another hidden chamber if we play the right tune on these instruments. Is anyone here skilled with music?"

"Suit yourself, big boy." She says plainly to Orilio, but decides to stay with him when she sees everyone else head into the other room, making herself comfortable by leaning up against the wall. "Mm, yeah, they don't need me." She reassured and not a few moments later did she start to hear the sound of the piano playing. It was played quite beautifully, she would have to admit, assuming that it was perhaps Song on the keys. The rogue stayed silent up until the others gathered again and started to climb up the stairs, choosing to be second to last since Orilio was so very adamant on being in the back.

Elya, looking a little more composed, "We go up, then."
She leads the group up the stairs, "This cold is coming from upstairs, I'm not usually superstitious but this house is slowly making me a believer. Stay ready for anything"
Orilo rumbles a little at the last comment, but doesn't admonish or tries to chase her off. If anything, so long as things were quiet between them outside of the music, he grew lax enough to trust part of his sweeping watch to her. "Ghosts are real." He states matter-of-factly and abruptly to her statement. Just as it came around to Orilo's turn to ascend the stairs, the statement reverberates in his head, prompting him to turn back and look at the second floor. Only this time his eyes shined an iridescent white past the shadow of his hood from in inheritably divine senses seeking evil and undead.
The presence of strong evil registers on your senses like a noxious odor, and powerful good rings like heavenly music in your ears. As an action, you can open your awareness to detect such forces. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity (the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance). Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.

Song plays a pretty nice tune on the piano, lifting everyone's spirits. Everyone who gains a point of inspiration, if you don't have a point yet.
You climb to the third floor. Elya, with your nat20, you easily spot a secret door on the south wall. It pushes open easily to reveal a cobweb-filled wooden staircase leading up to the attic.
Oreo, your divine sense tells you there are undead present on this floor. Be careful.
You stand in a dusty balcony with a suit of black plate armor standing against one wall, draped in cobwebs. Oil lamps are mounted on the oak-paneled walls, which are carved with woodland scenes of trees, falling leaves, and tiny critters.
"Well judging from the note we found, it sounds like this house was designed by horrible people who sacrifice innocents to dark entities so that they can convince Strahd to be their Dark Messiah. It makes sense that they'd have all sorts of secret compartments to make people disappear in. But lead on." Anborn says, acting like he didn't just give everyone a healthy serving of nightmare fuel. He'll stay next to her to help her scout out the top floor and lay a hand on Elya's shoulder to cast Guidance on the Barbarian. "Just a little something extra, to help you see what's up ahead."
Dusty shelves line the walls of this room. A few of the shelves have folded sheets, blankets, and old bars of soap on them, and finally a cobweb-covered broom leans against the far wall.
Elya frowns as Anborn puts his hand on her shoulder, not understanding the magic, but continues anyway, peering cautiously into the southern bedroom. Perception: 7 Guidance: 3
