After 8 to 10 minutes of jogging, it becomes obvious that the plateau is also the abandoned mine that the three Dice Players in the Saloon mentioned. You can see a Mine Cart with an unlit Bullseye Lantern handing from a hook attached to it, a well built but aging Mine Entrance, and a pile of refuse rocks off to the side of the entrance. As you begin to ascend a hill before Latisha holds her hand to stop the Party. She puts a finger on her mouth before she squats down, moves silently to position her self behind a group of black sagebrushes, and motions for you to come. You can hear light snoring and soft squeaking sounds among the light wind and ruffling of the sagebrush. You can see the remaining half of a corpse of a male Gunnison Grouse in the sagebrush, it's rotting a little and it smells terrible. The bite marks on it look consistent for group of pack carnivores.
Heck
Sidewinder answers up, but some parts of it drop out, and it gets worse as you get closer to where the meteor struck, "Hey Heck...---------you? It's-------hard to hear----, where-----you----------? What---------? --haven't-------------attention recently.... Hello,-----you------? -------------------------------------------connection."
Sidewinder? I can’t make you out ! What’re you saying? Of all the godsdamn times! I’m outta my element here, friendo!
Ste Watch your step, fellas, I don’t know about all these fiend princes and what have you, but there’s there’s something or something’s bitey out here, and that’s something i can reckon with. Heck draws his pistol and waits for Latisha’s instructions.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dobbs nods his head darkly at Latisha's naming of Alastor, and lets her continue. "Thankee fer sharin' yer tale with us, witch doctor. I've heard o' yer types o' healers, I've a mind ter trust yer over this "blood witch"--seems like a warlock I've had trouble with. And this "Guede" I've certainly had dealin's with."Eugene continues onward. Following the witch into the brush, he mutters darkly to himself under his breath at the sight of the Grouse.

Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3
The dead bird in the sagebrush looks very dead with multiple sharp little bites across it and only half of it remaining. What does remain looks vaguely like a turkey, but is obviously not. Latisha points foward and you take a look, you see two Kobolds that seem to be set as guards. The one on the left side of the entrance to the mine is fast asleep and lightly snoring, the one on the right side is awake but doesn't look too attentive. "Me not so great at dhe fightin' so me'll follow ya lead from here on. Are ya able to do it quiet or should we go in blazin'?" Latisha asks.
((If you genuinely don't know what a grouse is, I suggest looking it up. We guys in the West have some interesting things around here and grouses are one of the weirder ones))
I can try to take the awake one out quiet like, a rapier to the back usually does the trick... unless you think you could do a little backstabbing, Slick.
Alright, I’m gonna try to get around behind the one who’s awake and put him to sleep, permanent like. You got anything more quiet than that rifle, Preach?
Dobbs gives Heck a knowing grin. "Only the sacred flame the Holy Light saw fit ter bestow me. Not great fer bird executions, I say we cut it's throat and let Mercy take the rest."He gives a thoughtful look. "Unless yer talkin' 'bout fer fightin' our way into the mine?"

Alright, I’m gonna see if I can sneak up behind the wakey one and send him off to kobold heaven. If the other one starts waking up you put a bullet in em.
Heck draws his Rapier slowly before he begins to make his way silently around, moving up to the right side of the plateau, then quietly and slowly creeping towards the blindside of the awake Kobold. The awake Kobold seems to be bored and unattentive, he doesn't seem to have noticed Heck at all. The sleeping Kobold is still snoring, if Heck did make any noise, he figures that the snoring drowned it out. Heck sees his opportunity when the awake Kobold turns his head towards his sleeping fellow.
Dobbs unslings his rifle, taking aim at the sleeping kobold and prepared to use his sharpshooter feat to fire after Heck's strike. ((-5 attack, +10 damage, would this be at advantage because he's sleeping?))

((Yes. Any Attack Roll against an unaware target has Advantage. I also give Advantage for going before a Target on the First Round and for the Surprise Round))
Heck's strike is quick and accurate, into the center of the neck. The Kobold reflexively reaches for its neck and then falls down. The noise made is small, it doesn't echo at all and the sleeping Kobold doesn't wake up from it.
Is Eugene still going to shoot? If so, please roll.

Heck will look to Eugene and put a finger to his lips. If he doesn’t shoot, Heck will look into the tunnel perception 15 and move over to the sleeping Kobold stealth 19 and attempt another execution.

Yeah Grouse are game birds, but you can't hunt a Gunnison. They're Endangered, but obviously Kobolds wouldn't care))
