Disengaging with a flourish of his blade, Atuan steps back behind the cover of his compatriots. His shirt is darkly stained with slick blood, and even as his rapier tears through the air impressively, Atuan's movements are restricted by sharp cuts and dark bruises. Once behind the protection of Laniel, comrade bear, and the others, Atuan turns, focuses on the bugbear for a moment, and speaks a word. A sound like a ringing bell fills the room, cascading towards the monster with dangerous energy.
Rethan hooks his shield back onto his pack and his staff begins to flash around him in a blur again as he pushes his way further into the room, striking at foes as he goes.
(Move as far into the room as I can without giving up any attacks of opportunity. Attack goblins first, Bugbear if I can't reach any goblins without giving up AoO)
(Just realized I accidentally rolled a d8 for the bonus attack instead of a d4. So should only be 9 damage if it matters)
Rethan shifts his focus (and his whirling staff of death) to the bugbear beside him, striking out three times in quick succession (shifting any subsequent attacks to a goblin instead if i drop the bugbear).

The bugbear resists Atuan'sspell while Rethanfinishes off a bugbear and a goblin. Only a lone bugbear remains (I left one on the board for some reason? Fixed now!) and it strikes at Lanielwith its morningstar.

The goblin is torn to shreds by bear while Morph'sfirst blast slams the bugbear back against the wall, causing it to slump to the floor, dead.
Searching the bodies, the group find:
4 morningstars
3 javelins
64 arrows
13 scimitars
115 copper pieces
15 silver pieces
15 small leather armor
3 hide armor
9 torches
1 healing potion
In the middle of the room is a broken statue, 17 pieces of it scatter systematically on the floor. It looks as if the bugbears and goblins were trying to reassemble it.
Rethan searches the area around the broken statue, trying to see if he can figure out *why* they were trying to reassemble it (beyond just...wanting it to be back together?).
They seemed to be doing it as a form of past time and doing it very badly. It does look like a lot of work went into trying to figure out how the pieces go together and they were utterly off track. After pacing through the rubble of the statues, Rethanis able to piece it together in his mind in a few minutes (whereas the bugbears were on track to complete it in 3 ten-days). The statue likely depicted three male human warriors standing together on a stone mound, facing outward and clutching swords. It did not seem to serve any other purpose in the room than decoration.
Titus steps over to Atuan and places his hand on his shoulder, he channels his divine energy and heals him for 20hp.
”Let’s press on for now, I still have some healing spells in case we get a bit more dinged up. Do you require more healing, does anybody else need replenishment?”

No worries!

They seemed to be doing it as a form of past time and doing it very badly. It does look like a lot of work went into trying to figure out how the pieces go together and they were utterly off track. After pacing through the rubble of the statues, Rethan is able to piece it together in his mind in a few minutes (whereas the bugbears were on track to complete it in 3 ten-days). Wincing and not insignificantly wounded, Atuan takes a moment to breath.
"I could - Uh! - use a breather, if you don't mind."
Morph collects all the usable items, putting them in his bag of holding.
"If anyone needs anything from this lot, just let me know."
Morph also hands out everyone's share of the money.
"That's 3sp and 22cp for you each." (Morph takes 2sp and 22cp, so it totals right)
Morph looks his friends over.
"Do we want to take a break for a bit?"
"If we stop for, at least an hour, I can use my spells to heal a couple of you, and then I can get the use of my spells back, before we move on."
I'm see everyone at:
So with a short rest, I can heal Atuan and Laniel, and then have Morph and Bear spend some hit dice for healing.
You other power houses of martial combat, can sit back with your 60hp and guard us while we heal :P

Laniel nods.

"And I have yet some magic in reserve for such healing, though less efficacious than your own. Yes, does anyone else require help?"
Laniel nods again. "One of those bugbears landed a solid hit on me."
"Of course."
Extending his hand, Atuan casts cure wouds on Laniel. (Heal 8)
Atuan looks at his hand confusedly. "I thought that was how that spell went..."
Titus cast Cure wounds on Laniel. 9
Titus looks at Morph as the two exchange a confused shrug at the weakness of their healing magic. “Let’s give it one more go, shall we?”
