Deception for Halleth: 5

Halleth is definitely giving away a weak left leg. He is not even hiding the fact that he needs to drag his foot a little when he walks.

With slight grins, the clones advance in unison. A flickering strike!
Attack: 16 Damage: 21

Laniel charges in, striking with his staff twice and following each with a kick.

Quarterstaff Attack: 11 Damage: 7

Kick Attack: 19 Damage: 5

Quarterstaff Attack: 24 Damage: 7

Kick Attack (1 Ki): 8 Damage: 9

Halleth dodges the first two but this puts him into position for Laniel's next two strikes. Halleth is enraged. He moves to strike (3) Atuan  and Morph releases his spell. The first beam strikes air but the second hits the undead man. He barely seems to notices.

Fist Attack against Atuan: 17 Damage: 15

(Titus and Rethan are up!)

Titus charges at the undead manic lamenting that he had ever unleashed him, and slams into him with his shield and brings down with two heavy swings.

Rethan strikes out with his staff, aiming to disable halleth as opposed to killing him.

Attack: 25 Damage: 7

Halleth STR(18) check: 15 (Halleth is knocked prone.)

Titus lands two solid blows, followed by Rethan striking the wall with a thud that causes his hands to vibrate. He recovers quickly, however, and lands a blow, which Halleth does not seem to notice.

(Laniel, Atuan, and Morph are up!)

(If Halleth was knocked prone, that would give Rethan advantage for his attacks, right?  In which case...first attack advantage roll: 17, second attack advantage roll: 17)

(I also forgot my Extra Attack from being level 5 if it's not too late to add it.  If it is too late, that's okay too)

Not too late. Both attacks actually hit.

Laniel twirls his quarterstaff and strikes at the undead man again.

Laniel's rapid series of blows nearly bring the man to his knees. The man roars. "I. Will. Have. Vengeance!" he says

Atuan tries to drive home the point with a flourish.

"May Peace take you first."

Indeed, the undead man falls, his voice gurgling out something about vengeance as he thuds to the ground. A moment of silence prevails and then goblins and bugbears begin to chatter among themselves about the dramatic battle.

(Combat has ended.)

Titus kneels and recites an old dragonborn prayer for the dead man before him before standing back up and looking for Copper. If he sees him he will point and call out "Hey you! Do not go anywhere, we need to speak with you."

"Och," says the dwarven voice. "That's a good'un. Yer a riot."

"Shut up," says another voice.

Entering the room that Halleth was heading for reveals a long room lit by torches in brackets. Four bugbear guards are returning to their posts at the four corners of the room. A handsome man wearing a golden circlet on his brow ) reclines on a mound of cushions at the north end of the room, eating an apple. Ten goblins lie about on moldy cushions around him. Chained to the south wall is a male dwarf clad in leather armor who is being gagged by one of the bugbears. He has copper-orange hair, but his beard has been shaved off.

The room has no other exits.

Morph follows Titus, just inside the door, taking in the sight of the room.

Morph whispers to Titus,

"Well this is...interesting..."

Rethan looks around warily as he follows hte others, keeping his guard up.

"Copper Stormforge I presume?" Says Titus as he steps into the room. He uses his Divine Senses to assess the dwarf, the bugbears, and the man. "I am Titus Vorenus, First Shield, Third Legion. What in the hells did you to do this man, to drive him to this decrepit condition?" he says gesturing angrily at Halleth's remains.

"Er orph uh eh eh ih a eye iph uh uhow..."

"Shut it," the bugbear gagging him says and punches the dwarf in the gut.

Morph looks between the dwarf and the one who looks to be in charge.

"Any reason you've chained and gagged the dwarf?"
