Isuzu

Isuzu turns to Sylrie and smiles, "I have one mother of a headache... but besides that just fine, how about yourself?" Then she suddenly laughs, "I bet you didn't expect me to tell you... not now, I have a headache so early in our relationship... but soon we will be at our destination and we can settle into our cover. Actually, I am looking forward to climbing into a new skin, after a bit of a rest of course. All the saluting and military protocols are trying even for me."

Sylrie

Slyrie grinned as Isuzu made a joke about her headache, "Surely not, but in this circumstance it is completely understandable..." Sylrie's hand had instinctively raised to the side of his head where the blood had stopped trickling but where he could still feel a pulsing from the Banshee's wail in response to Isuzu asking how he was, "...that was close. I am glad you are unhurt, I thought I had lost you already" 

Isuzu

Isuzu gives him a confused look, "unhurt, a curious choice of words considering. Have you attached feelings of sentiment to me so soon that the thought of losing me would cause you distress? I hope not... because sooner rather than later you are going to be a very sad boy, a very sad boy indeed. Everything dies... its all temporary... that is the whole point, try not to get too attached, just enjoy it while it lasts and that my dear friend includes me, especially me."

Sylrie

Sylrie takes Isuzu's words with grace, he knew the reason for his words, but nonetheless he attempted to relay there meaning to Isuzu in a courteous manner, "I merely meant that if you had been hurt, or died, it would have looked poorly on me. You are my partner after all..." grinning he continued, "...but had I assigned that sentiment to you this early in our partnership I'd take the pain, it'd be a powerful motivator to accomplish our task."

Percival

He doesn't listen in on their conversation and he isn't making a point to spy on the two of them but this isn't the largest boat on the sea and it's inevitable that Percival's gaze falls upon Sylrie and Isuzu from time to time. He turns to the rest of his party that is presumably not with the other pair. "I feel that perhaps we should go back down again. It appears that the two of them are having a rather personal conversation." He says in a joking whisper.

(Joke pending on where the DM rules Isuzu and Sylrie to be.)

Isuzu

Isuzu nods at Sylrie, "not hurt..." she repeats (she is sitting there with 1 HP, after all ;) "but I know what you mean but don't let it bother you when I get hurt, it's not a reflection on you. Well, it will be if anyone where we are going asks me why I look so battered and bruised, I am just gonna tell them my partner beats on me something fierce so then I guess it will reflect on you... so you better see about doing a better job of it." She winks jokingly and spreads a bedroll on the floor, "now if you don't mind I have to get rest. I used all my spells and so I could use all the rest I can get. You are welcome to join me right here beside me if you like, that is if you are not worried the Banshee will come back to finish the job. Goodnight."

OOC: We were all told to move upside by the Captain and I wasn't under the belief that he was asking, so I just assumed that we're all topside. 

 Sylrie

Sylrie chuckled and nodded at Isuzu saying she would tell others he beats on her, "I certainly look the part" he said as he moved his fingers to his mustache to twirl the ends. He then watched as she rolled out the bedroll, "Yea, LT...err Dot said we weren't to go anywhere alone. I'll stay up for a bit and take a watch as you rest." he then placed his own bedroll behind his back to support his lumbar and then took a book from his pack and began reading and writing notes in the margin with his mage hand. 

Kashkaval

The minotaur just sort of slowly follows everyone else up topside, and finds a place against the gunwale to rest.

Kora will give Kash a scritch between the horns before settling down close by and trying to get her Long Rest in.

As everyone finds a comfy space to lay down for the evening, a small headwind blows the warmer from the southwest to northeast. The moons of Eberron dance in the sky in their slow dance as clouds try to mask their presence. Down below decks the Bosun comes down and kicks Sylrie, "Hey ye two, up'tairs. Cap'n's o'ders, now! Not safe, not on a night like dis..." He laughs a small laugh and continues, "Wouldn't be no use getting ye to yer destination and ye being feet up, now."

Above deck, Lt. Winehand finds a place on the forecastle, with Sarge not too far away. The small crew of the High Regard keeps watch of the sea as all of you start finding your way to dreams or the dreamless sleep you may have. 

Dreamless sleep...

Sylrie

Sylrie nods to the Bosun and in case Isuzu didn't wake he'll wake her and advise of what the Bosun said.

Percival

After being reassured by the crew that they'll watch over the ship, Percival eventually drifts off to sleep and wakes up the next day. "Morning, everyone."

Isuzu

Isuzu gets up and moves topside to find a spot to sleep up there none too happy about it but obeys. When morning comes she wakes and begins to check and organize her gear.

Will-o-wisps dance across the lake all evening long and into the next morning. Thankfully, no force dared to trouble the small fishing vessel anymore. As you wake up, the sun is starting to rise across a cloudless sky and you feel like that was the long rest most of you needed. The longshoremen start dropping sails to reduce the speed of the ship as you will be able to see a small harbor in the distance. 

"There she is, Cree. Not bad for a small town, nice people. The dockmaster won't bother you with papers and fees, I have that all taken care of." Captain Notak says to the group as bread and porridge is passed around the deck. 

Percival

(Did Percival's 19 on a History check tell him what's up with the lake?)

"Good to know. As fun as sailing has been, I'll be happy to be back on dry land."

Isuzu

Isuzu had rather liked watching the dancing of the Will-o-wisps before having gone to sleep thinking such beautiful majestic creatures...

In the morning as she organized her gear Isuzu gratefully accepted the bread and porridge, eating every last bit of her breakfast, hungrily. When Percival voiced his thoughts to be happy to be back on dry land Isuzu grins, "I second that... nothing about this water voyage has been the least bit enjoyable or memorable!"

John smirks. Not enjoyable? We killed a Banshee! getting rid of that undead freak and curing the world of one more disease is enjoyable! We should celebrate!
