"Here in Aundair, cheese is definitely the talk...especially when paired with the right wine. I wonder though..." "Alright, meet back at the Map Room after chow tonight. Full battledress. We can be shipped out at any time. Make sure all your gear is in order. Fallout." Lt. Winehand walks away toward the Major's office inside the compound. Looking around the fort you see the preparations are being made for a deployment, and if LT's words are to be believed, it will be your deployment. Where will you go? The front lines against Thrane? On warships taken to fight the undead hordes of the Karrnathi army? To fight along Cyre and Brelish forces holding back the lines to take Metrol?

This is Kora's plan, subject to the whims and plans of the others. Always one to follow orders, Kora takes her gear back to her bunk, and cleans and checks it, fixing a buckle here, checking an edge there. When that is done, she'll head to the quartermaster to pull any pay that my be waiting, and she'll return to her bunk to package 80% of it up, write a note to her mother, and then return to the quartermaster to post it. Finally, she'll grab a quick bite, dress for combat, and attend the meeting in the map room.

"Culturally we enjoy killing things.....and occasionally eating them....this does not include cheese. I am considered an outcast by my kind because I do not fit in with their ideals, I was sickly as a calf and did not fare well in the martial training of my peers. I was often called cursed by my teachers because of my inherent magical talents, and it brought shame upon my family so I left at an early age to try and find my place in the world. A place free from the close minded society of the Minotaurs and the Daughters of Sora Kell who I think coveted my potential. Once I had thought the wizards in the floating towers of Arcanix could be of some help, but I was no more than an idle curiosity to be studied, and when they could learn no more I was escorted from the towers. In the years since leaving Droaam, I have found few teachers willing to try, most of what I have figured out has been through trial and error. Eventually I befriended a member of House Lyrander (GMoat feel free to make up a name to fit in here - relevant to your story or not) and they took me in, gave me work and a reason to stay."

Little did they know, they were actually fostering the growth of a slew of new bacteria on the inside and outside of the cheeses, contributing to pungent flavors and even more pungent surface smells. Kora will take 2 gallifars from Duggar, and send the remainder on to her mother, as usual. Edit: she's going to change up some of her coinage, for lighter travel, too, trading in 10 more sovereigns for a gallifar. (I accounted for it on her sheet.)
In the modern age, merchants have begun to use letters of credit to handle large transactions, drawing on the reserves of the dwarf banks of the Mror Holds. But most day to day transactions are dealt with through the use of coins made from precious metal. Once all coins were minted under the authority of the King of Galifar. However, while the designs imprinted on these coins vary based on the source, each of these forces has continued to use the same metals, weights, and denominations set forth in the days of Galifar, maintaining a simple standard for commerce across Khorvaire. The dragon is minted from platinum and bears the image of one of the dragons of legend. With a value of one hundred sovereigns, these coins are used only by the wealthiest citizens of Khorvaire, and the average peasant may never see such a coin.
