Kora and Percival over breakfast

Kora leans back, finished with her small meal. She smiles at Percival, kindly. "It may be that you will learn more about Isuzu by being quiet in her company, than by asking so many questions that she sends you to ask them elsewhere." 

She stands up, collecting her mess. "I am afraid the Quori have no answers for you today. But you will likely find those answers inside yourself, if you take the time to look." Then she laughs, a sudden sound. "Listen to me! My sister would be proud, I am sounding like the monks our forefathers were! High time I beat on something with a stick. Break your fast well, Percival."

And, unless he stops her, she will exit to the deck (putting her dishes away on the way) for her exercises and weapons practice.

John has been hanging with the Horses, keeping them calm every day, and keeping him calm. That’s where he’s been.

Earlier, with Kora:

John looks shocked at this reveal! What do you mean you dont dream? Dreaming is.. excellent! The answer to your question, is you feel it. You get a shiver when thinking back onto that dream. Was it... strange, in a way? Did it not feel like a dream, and more of a message, an omen, a memory, or the sorts? The it’s not just a dream.

Percival will thank Kora for the advice she has given him and allows her to leave and start her day. He will eat his breakfast and prepare himself for whatever the DM is about to throw at the party later today.

Kora and Johnathon

She lets his surprise at her not dreaming slide past. "No, what I mean is, how do you know that this... shiver," she smiles, "was sent by a being you trust? What if it is... a deception, sent in the hopes you will act on it, and inadvertently further some evil act? How do you tell the difference?"

Sylrie stayed quiet for the rest of the evening on Watch, Hilla was a nice but his mind was elsewhere, he was still trying to figure out how he could distinguish himself among his fellow Greywindians, hell the rest of the army. Hilla had a creepy cousin who got in, it would feel weird to bring it up again, but maybe another time she could shed further light on how he had managed to get the position. 

The next morning Sylrie slept in late, having been up on Watch till late into the early morning. 

On the final day of Wroagar's Vexation voyage, the seas stay choppy as the ship hugs the coast. The LT gathers the unit together in your quarters, waking Sylrie up from his late morning rest. 

"This evening, we will meet up with a shoal troller called The High Regard, manned by loyalists to the Crown. Once onboard we will shed our tabards and armor marking us as Aundairian soldiers. We will don apparel that will mask our true identities, common clothes and armor of someone not loyal to any Crown. That does not shirk you from your obligations to aundair and Queen Aurala."

"This is when we go black, from here on out we will work in teams of two AT ALL TIMES. You will always have one of your brother's or sisters with you. There are no solo outings here. We are going into dangerous territory. If our cover is blown, we may not make it out with our lives. Yes, The Reaches is Aundarian country, but they have not been friendly to the Crown for many years. This is part of our diplomatic mission. We are soldiers from all over Khorvaire, looking for work as mercenaries in Cree. That is our cover. You will not salute me in public, you will not defer to me. You will not defer to Sarge. We were chosen for this mission because of our loyalty to Aundair and your loyalty to me and Sarge."

She pauses as she pulls out a sheet of paper, "These are your assigned battle buddies. No questions about it, you are responsible for each other's lives. Kash and Kora, Percival and Johnathan, Sylrie and Isuzu. And I Lt. Do'tavian Winehand and Sergeant Misquo Lorand, or Dot as my friends call me and Misq ((OOG Like Misk...lol))."

She puts the paper away and sits down, "Any questions, Greywind? Ask them now while we have time."

 Kashkaval

The Minotaur looks over at the Kalashatar and nods in acknowledgement in her direction.  He has seen her train, she will do a good job of keeping him alive and he smiles. His mage hand gives her the finger gun.

"I have no questions, Lieutenant."

Kora

She smiles at the minotaur, but adds aloud, in mock outrage, "But LT, he smells like cheese!"

Kashkaval

"Don't deny you like it...." and he'll ripple his muscles under his robes.

Percival

"Perhaps we might be to trade partners, Kora. I'm not sure if I want Johnathan turning into a snake and slithering up me." Percival jokes.

Kora

It is apparent that several responses pass through her mind, some of which might even make her blush a little, but she just responds, "Thank you, Percival, but everyone should have the opportunity to experience that for themselves. And the LT said no backsies."

"Did she now? I suppose that I must have missed that. Well Johnathan, you'll have to tell which one of us you preferred slithering up more once you've done so."

Kashkaval 

The minotaur laughs at Percival and ripples his muscles at him too 

Sylrie

Sylrie turned and gave Isuzu a grin, "I think I'll rather like my partner, we haven't had a chance to really talk. Will be good getting to know another member of the unit" 

Percival

Percival tries to think of a response to Kashkaval, but declines to do so when none of the responses that he's thinking of would be appropriate for someone of his status. Instead he turns to Sylrie and Isuzu. "Do either of you have any objections you might wish to raise to the Lieutenant, or are you the perfect pairing?" He jokes.

(Dammit Clergy, you beat me by just a few minutes!) 

"I am glad everyone is satisfied with their pairings because this is the most strategic pairings we could think of." The lieutenant takes a drink of some wine and continues, "We need these pairings to work, a martialist and a magic user. Together, you should be able to keep each other alive if trouble pops up." 

Kashkaval

He looks at the whole unit and says "Just don't expect little metal men showing up to help every time...my powers can be unpredictable at best."

"Fair enough Kash. Just don't set us all on fire or something with your powers. It would reflect poorly on Aundair if Greywind company were to perish because of literal friendly fire."

Kashkaval

"With some luck, there would be no one left to tell anyone what happened......"

(OOC - I love how everyone assumes I"m going to drop a fireball on myself - there's like a 2% chance of me rolling that on the surge table :P )
