"they say its better to light a candle than curse the darkness. I say its better to light your enemies on fire and let them do the cursing."

Thain rushes to the laddle, scoops up the water and rushes to Delvarus's door and begins to perform his ice trick (taking 2 rounds to get there and pour the water on, another to freeze it - 3rnds total). As he is doing so, Xavier rushes up with a makeshift crowbar and sets to work trying to force the door (this takes 2 rnds and assuming you have assistance from Delvarus, Xavier make a strength check with advantage). Aramis, with his eyes firmly closed, hears everything happening VERY clearly, including more shouts from above, the sounds of combat and what might be bodies hitting the floor. Pyro rushes into the store room and sees the crates (including one that Xavier threw open which contains shovels, work hammers, pick axes, saws and other tools), the barrel (most sealed, but one partially open with javelins in it) and sacks of unknown goods.

The old halfling is now sitting on his pallet. He reaches into his topknot and produces what appears to be a small bone pipe. Reaching into one boot, he produces a small pouch, from which he draws forth a strong smelling herb. As if from nowhere a small flame appears at the end of his finger and he takes a draw on the pipe, "Well I guess that noise from above might explain why the guards haven't been down here. Interesting, VERY interesting." He seems very calm in the circumstances and is studying all of you actions as you rush about the room.

It takes Pyro a few precious moments, but she finally pulls open a crate to see 2 shortbows and 2 light crossbows inside. Another moment of searching uncovers a barrel full of arrows and bolts (2 quivers of each, containing 20 missiles apiece).
Thain is focusing on his magic, preparing to freeze the water, but is forced to jump back as he hears a SNAP and Delvarus's door swings open.
At this point (though Pyro is still searching the room for her weapons for another round), you all hear a shout from the top of the stairwell and a familiar form (one of the Silverstar guardsman who brought you in) stumbles down the stairs, blood running from beneath his helm. He has a ring of iron keys clasped in one hand and a shortsword in the other. He looks about in shock at seeing most of you out of your cells, but then gives a shout of pain and falls down the rest of the stairs, to crash at the bottom, a crude handaxe buried visibly in his back.

*after letting Del out* (Ara) "something wrong with your hearing?" *Xavier runs to the guard and casts 1 hit point using lay on hands to try and stabilze the guard while chanting "stay with us, Ilmater gives you strength"
Two brutish figures come down the stairs behind the now dead or unconscious guard. Both are clearly orcs, though like none that you've seen before. Their green skin is marred by what looks like deliberate scaring, with 3 diagonal cuts connected by 2 parralel cuts across each check and similar markings down each arm. They have some sort of red pigment smeared acorss their foreheads and leather armour. Both are armed with hatchets and spiked bucklers. One spits on the downed guard, and both move towards you, both approaching Thain and Xavier with wicked grins on their brutish faces.
Everyone roll initiative please.
