The group of you go up Endshift Street and then left on the first alley you come to. As you continue walking the device starts to spin faster. A few times you have to backtrack around a home before finally coming to a large pile of trash next to the city wall.
[start at red, end at blue]
As you approach none of you notice anything but once you get closer Kestrell and Phaedra (with your evil 15 in passive perception) notice a foot sticking out of the piled garbage.
OOC: Everyone roll initiative, unless you're going to slowly back away.
After Selinae tries to push it Kestrell asks "Has anyone tried talking to it?"then addressing the thing "Hello. We have a message for you from the other."
This is how I'm envisioning everyone's position just after Sel's charge
Anyone else taking an action in round 1?
Nimblewright's round 1 action: As the creature hears Kestrell's words its posture changes somewhat. Somehow it looks... angry while staring at Kestrell. Suddenly it lunges at Selinae, sword out and barely manages to score a hit on her arm but completely whiff's the second swing of his sword.
Looked up the rules of the Ready. Looks like I could have either an attack or my BA Hunter's Mark. I'll go with the attack. Triggered on a hostile action from the Nimwit.
So you cast Hunter's Mark as a bonus action and then ready the attack, correct?
No, I'll hold off on the Hunter's Mark for the first turn. Wouldn't want that to antagonize the thing. So my first round is just readying the attack, triggered if the little thing does something hostile like Attack Serinade.
Phaedra raises a hand, indication to everyone to remain calm.
"Nimblewright, why don't you turn yourself in. We know who you have been working with and that you set the fireball off that killed all those innocent people in Trollskull lane. We have already cleared out the Gralhund Villa and know of there connection to the insane Cult of Asmodeus and we have helped to round up the evil end of the the Zhentarim, including the assassin Urstul. Why did you let the Gralhunds and Zhent's use you?
