Cade smacks the guy in the head, who makes some other sound that's not quite coherent yet. He does try to stand, but not before taking a knee. Still wobbly in his legs. His eyes rather unfocused. "Wha...?" he replies over to Yorvalor, as if not entirely understanding him. "You a bird?" he says after a long pause of trying to study his face. But the way his pupils move around, it seems he's not entirely all there yet.
The other figure, despite being smacked, it still out cold. (Medicine check DC 15, or any amount of healing will wake him up.)
Cade will check to see if the other figure is okay and try to perform some first aid (Medicine: 23) He turns to the other figure and draw his shortsword. "We can always find our answers if we do some incisions," Cade offers. (Intimidation: 10)
OOC: Natural 20 on Medicine, what are you doing Cade?
Cade looks at the knocked out figure. His hands seeming to move over the person's neck and shoulders. With a loud pop - he presses into the base of the skull. Readjusting and releasing some of the pressure. The figure's eyes beginning to stir as they return to consciousness. A sharp inhale coming from him.
The other looks at Cade, groggily trying to raise his hand up in a term of surrender but it coming off more as he's trying to waive him away. "You said burning a nest. And yer all a wee bit fuzzy. So tryin' to see if you those bird critters I see sometimes."
Surprised by Cade medical intervention. "Wow friend Cade! I did not know that you knew so well about the humanoid physiology. Well done!!"
He grabs a chair and props the one that believes he might be in an actual nest on it. "Is this better? Sorry about wracking your brains, but you left me with no choice. And no, fortunately, we are not birds. Listen my good man. You are in the cellar of the place you AND your colleagues tried to burn down. Would you care to explain yourself? What about we start with what is your name? Perhaps the name of your friend there that is hopefully about to wake up as well?" (Persuasion: 21)

Figured we'd get ya scared a bit. Cause a panic. That all."
The one who Cade just healed, Aaron, gives a thumbs up in confirmation.
Cade nods and he turns to Yorvalor. "Thanks," Cade says regarding the compliment about his medical skills. He watches the two men carefully. Cade sheaths his sword.
"What's the plan now Yorvalor?" Cade asks. Cade seems a bit enraged by the idea that their bar was almost destroyed. Cade eyes Aaron and Gus carefully. Cade always believed that the guilty must be punished at all costs. He smirks at the idea of cutting Gus down.
Yorvalor whispers to Cade and Emund. "It seems that we are not going to get anything out of these poor folks. I would like to suggest to let them go, just like the one upstairs. Perhaps ask them to inform Masus that we would like to pay him a visit tomorrow morning to clear up the misunderstanding between us."

Man's got to eat and have a warm place to sleep, even if it means suspending their thinking about their work." Standing back up and away from the men, Emund motions towards the first floor and continues, "We'll walk them out so that they don't try and 'get anyone scared a bit' in the tavern. Then we can hunt for Keegan."
He turns to Cade. "And of course, always forgive the first nip–but if there's a second, it'd be foolish not to bite back. And I'd imagine we've an adequate set of jaws and a fine pair of chompers."
(I haven't heard from Keegan in awhile, so going to speed things up a little bit.)
The other two leave, helping each other leave the bar and head back into the city proper. Keegan, after seeing the figure get up, keeping it's physical appearance hidden in the dark, darts along the twists and turns of the roads. Of the two figures on the roof-top, the well dressed one manages to kick off the other, before they seem to simply be gone. Only the signs of destruction from that one hitting the ground and breaking through a fence left behind.
It doesn't take too long for Keegan and the rest of the Crew to meet back up. Seemingly safe.
Night turns to day. Day turns to the next day. And then another... things feel familiar. The day to day actions and tasks that happen. The Falcon’s Nest opening and closing. Shopping with Nikolai. Masus seems to be quiet, no more interactions of people coming to attack. Overall, it seems that things have passed. The Church stays frantic with the coming events; Curtis more than ever in locked meetings. Isabella coming and going from a few of them.
It’s sometime in the middle of the night. Long after the bars close and the city sleeps.
At the Cathedral...
The door to Emund’s chambers flings open with a loud bang. Curtis stands there, a sack in one hand. “Thank the Queen, you’re actually here...” he begins. His face tired, but the expression is clear. He’s afraid. He begins to take items, personal belongings, teachings, placing them into the bag. “...Emund. Get up. Get dressed. Now.” From further down the hall, far down in the barracks there’s commotion. The sounds of metal clad feet hitting the marble halls.
At the Nest....
Elven curses come from the stairs that lead down into the hideout. Nikolai, trying his best not to simply shout, is making his way down. “All of you, get up! Get up! Get up right now!” He keeps saying again and again. “Get your things. Get your blades. Something.... something has happened...”
Cade immediately rises. He begins to gather his things. He looks over at Nikolai. "Why? What's going on? Is everything okay?" Cade asks, it can be seen that he is extremely concerned.
Yorvalor is in deep sleep: "No dear Isabella, I shall marry you...." He hears Nikolai yelling in his dream, and it takes a couple of seconds to get himself out of the dream. "What? What is happening?" He searches for Slash, and he's relieved that it is next to his cot. "Wow, Nikolai, what is happening?"

“No.” He looks over at Cade. “I have to get you all out.”
There’s a panic in his voice. His breathing somewhat labored. His rotund figure is barely dressed, having been stirred from sleep himself. He heads over to a small rock in the wall, managing to uncover something hidden. “I don’t know what happened. I just got word. You’re wanted for affairs against the Church.” He pulls out a small sack. He slides it over to those who are resting.
“You, Cade. Emund. And Yorvalor. The church is coming. Get safe. If you need, get into the upper district. There’s a man who has a red mansion. He owes me one. And I’ll gladly call it in to keep you all safe.”
The sound of someone forcefully knocking is loud enough to echo downstairs. Nikolai eyes the access routes through the cellar. A few loose stones that you could climb through and get to the undercity. “We’ll meet again. Promise me that,” he says as he puts a hand on Cade’s shoulder.
"You're a good man, Nikolai," Cade proceeds out through the access way. He wondered if it had anything to do with him losing his other shortsword. Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. He sighed and continued on. (Stealth: 6 ) Cade is still heavily concerned about whether Nikolai would be okay on his own.

“Curtis..?” Emund rouses and clears the sleep from his eyes. “What’s going on?”
He listens to his friend and begins to dress, adjusting armor and tightening the cords at his sleeves. He watches what Curtis is putting into the bag as he puts the pendant of the Faith over his neck.
As the clanging grows louder, Emund tries to hear if there are any words coming from outside his room (Perception: 9). He grabs his spear and turns to his friend. “I’m ready.”
Emund the words are still faint. You hear a voice, probably the Ethurian based on the hints of a accent. “Attacked. Alive. Question.” The actual sentence is hard to hear but he’s giving some instruction to others.
”There’s been a... attack. Some gambler’s den...” Curtis says as he watches behind him, and Emund get ready. “You, and some of your friends. At the warehouse. Hours ago, it left many people injured. The outsiders say it was you and your friends. But I know you were here.” He sighs, putting up a finger as he leans out the door. “I know it wasn’t you. But they’ll ask questions. And if they find out....” that’s where the fear is. That if the secret Emund carries is found out, by members of the church no less, his friend won’t be seen again in this life.
”We have to clear your name. But I won’t risk your life to a period when you’re lost, friend.” His hand clasps on his shoulder. “Find your friends. You find yourself stealthing through some of the undercity. Sections of the town that were built as a sewer system and runoff for the ports. The Faith, and the Iron Throne, have a deep understanding of engineering and appreciation for leaning and developing multiple technologies. Their pride is the Rails, as they’ve been establishing them in different cities. But, Dunnour has several channels beneath it. Some of it run-off and areas for storm surges to go. Other avenues for waste. A lot tends to be unexplored, due to the creatures and disease that tend to follow being down in the bellows of the city for too long.
Still, it seems that the small closed off section you find yourself sneaking through leads back up to a ladder. It exiting the bellows of the city just a block or two from the Falcon’s Nest. With the tide coming in, you emerge decently wet. Nothing ruined, just, wet.
