Althus speaks up, "Perhaps I could go meet this 'Nev' you all are so interested in while you do these things? I am not the sneakiest of folk, as you can see."
Dog replies that Althus should absolutely meet Nev, though it might help if one of the protectors she knows accompanies him to give her some introduction and comfort. Perhaps Gash if he doesn't want to come along for the Axonia snooping? Dog's only request is to tell Nev that we're looking into transportation options (actually perhaps Althus and someone else could look into getting sufficient horses/carriages/supplies for a long road journey since Dog's been assuring Nev that they've been trying to do that for a while?).
Bulwark turns to Martin*, "They found me in an inactive state within a labyrinth. Upon waking, I found that my original purpose, to guard my creators, could no longer be fulfilled, and so I took up a new directive: to guard those who found me."
(*Edit: Oops. Even went back to make sure I had it correct and still managed to say Markus.)
“I hope that you grow beyond that. That other... being... who was in here.. he has friends. And so could you.”
Althus and Bulwark head for the Wheat and Mane where Neventi and Gentoa are staying while Dog goes to the same Inn that Axonia is staying at in disguise. Tock, Martin, and Gash wait nearby in the market district.

Dog:
The snooty butler nods to Dog-in-disguise. "Yes," he says. "We have one suite left here on the ground floor. It includes 3 meals a day and access to our library, our parlor, and numerous services to facilitate your stay in Masa. The cost is 10 gp per day."
Bulwark and Althus:
Arriving at the Wheat and Mane, they find Neventi waiting outside, playing with her daughter. She is an energetic, golden-haired little girl with naturally curly locks and golden irises. She is less than 2 years old, although rapidly nearing that age. She runs over to Bulwark as he approaches.
Neventi smiles at her daughter and then looks to Bulwark and then to Althus. "I'm sorry," she says. "I know we've probably been introduced but I have forgotten your names. i'm Neventi Drahm."
Gentoa looks around for a piece of chalk and settles on a white rock. She begins to draw circles on Bulwark's leg, looking up at him and giggling occasionally.
Tock, Martin, and Gash:
The trio finds a table at an outside eatery to sit at and wait for the sun to set. It is about 2 hours yet, so they while away the time in conversation or watching the busy people in the market district.
Gash tries to keep his mind at ease and contemplates reading through his spell book, but instead scans the market place back and forth for any activity that would make him feel like something has gone wrong for Dog or maybe he could discern who Anxonia is and keep tabs on her.

Althus bows formally to Neventi, "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Neventi, I am Althus Pelivar. This is the first time we have met, so do not worry about knowing my name. If you are suffering from memory problems, I may be able to help you. I have some minor healing powers."
Althus looks discreetly for the cursed amulet that the others were talking about or any sign of magic around Neventi.
Prior to leaving the inn: Bulwark looks down at Martin, "Your hopes for me are unnecessary, and undesired. Presence and safety of those under my watch is enough."
To DM and Althus
"Designation: Bulwark." He looks down at the child drawing on him. "Percieved threat of child possessing objects of colouring intent: Minimal."
"It will do," Dog says in a quiet, different voice. He drops ten gold pieces on the counter and waits to be shown the room. "If suitable, I may stay another night."
Once inside and left alone, he will pause a minute, crack open the door, and if no one is there, he'll let Stitches crawl out on the ceiling. Do we need to dig into the layout of this place, or can we establish that Dog scouts around using Stitches at first, and then once Stitches is in a hidden corner, go out himself still in disguise to the parlor or library, whichever is central or close to where they saw Viviora come from the day before, and then pull out a book and then toggle between looking and listening through Stitches and himself, trying to scope out where Axonia might be staying? Dog's a smart cookie and so if we can leave the tactical stuff to that to save time, I'm fine with that. The goal is to have Stitches explore, on the ceiling, looking for Vi or a deva or something celestial over the next 45 minutes. Stitches can also crawl out a window and look into other windows from the outside of the inn, trying to stay within 100 feet of Dog if possible. Once Stitches locates the room, she will park herself outside to watch for when Axonia leaves for her walk, and then Dog will attempt to sneak in, hoping he doesn't bump into any locked doors or traps.
(Dog is confused about why no one else wanted to come with him, but he's fine trying to do this on his own if that's what they decided.)
"Oh, yes, that sounds familiar," Neventi says toBulwark. "Nice to meet you, Althus. When are the rest arriving? I am very eager to leave. I think Doggear is fetching us horses?"
Dog:
Dog finds his room very accommodating. It is beyond luxurious. A marble bathtub is sunken into the floor in the bathroom, surrounded by vials of scented oils and powdered plants that Dog has never heard of. A large, four-posted feather bed stands in the center of the bedroom, draped in silken bed sheets. A hearth blazes in a sitting area next to a large, comfy looking lounge chair and small sofa. A prince would now doubt feel comfortable staying in such a place.
The library is opulent as well, far larger than anything he has ever seen in a private library. Nobody sits in the library right now, so Dog can easily take up a comfortable spot with a nondescript book and spy occasionally through Stitches eyes.
The ground floor does not seem promising, since the parlor and library as well as the staff offices and kitchen are down here. There are only two rooms for guests, one of which is Dog's. The other room down the hall is closed, so Stitches heads outside to peer in some of the windows.
On the third floor, which is the highest floor of the inn, Stitches spots Viviora. She is putting on a cloak, after which she grabs a second cloak and helps another woman into it. The other woman is tall, elegant, with long, platinum-blonde locks that are nearly white. She has pale, youthful skin but a mature face with high, prominent cheekbones. Her narrow eyes are remarkably light, but enable to hide behind her delicate, button of a nose.
It is at this point that Dog realizes the woman is looking directly at Stitches. She smiles and turns away, inviting Viviora to leave.
Gash, Tock, and Martin:

The sun is getting low on the horizon now with less than an hour to go. Martin may have found a new favorite eatery while Gash remains on high alert. Neither notice anything awry in their time at the table.
Meanwhile, Tock spends a vigorous hour busking, earning himself a strong audience and more than a little coin. In this time, he has pulled in a total of 26 copper pieces, 5 silver pieces and 5 gold piece(s).
Ha! Of course she would see the spider. Hopefully she disarmed traps and forgot to lock things.
Can Dog see out his windows to ascertain if he could climb out his window, use the boots of flying to get to a window connected to the room Axonia just left, without likely being seen from another window in the Inn or someone outside, if in fact there are people outside? If it looks like a decent shot, he will give it a try. If not, he'll try to get to the room's door without being seen and try to see if it is locked. If he has to pass through he lobby he will recast disguise self to become the lady again...
Also as soon as Stitches sees Axonia, Dog would begin to ritually cast comprehend languages, and wait for it to be fully cast before moving.
Stitches cannot open the window or test if it is locked, so Dog will have to fly up there to see. There are people outside, but it is a quiet part of the evening. The window to the suite on the third floor does face a garden at the back of the establishment, rather than the street.
Tock, Gash, and Martin:
The sun is not yet set but, from down the block, the trio see Viviora and another woman exit the inn. The other woman is tall, elegant, with long, platinum-blonde locks that are nearly white. She has pale, youthful skin but a mature face with high, prominent cheekbones. Her narrow eyes are remarkably light, but unable to hide behind her delicate, button of a nose. Both woman are dressed in cloaks and head south, away from the trio, melding in with the crowd. Dog is clearly nearing ready to infiltrate their room.
Martin goes to follow the women, trying not to be noticed. He would stay a fair distance behind, and try to blend with the crowd, checking out an occasional store front or stall.
Gash pulls Tock and Martin in close to not cause much alarm as he summons Friend in the middle of them. "Friend... follow." Gash points Friend toward the two women and the owl takes off in the sky. "I'm going to go check on Dog."
Gash walks up near the building. And directs message toward the inside to where he think Dog might be. "Dog, can you hear me? It's Gash. Do you need my assistance?"

The women move at a brisk but not unusual pace. More unusual is how effortlessly they move through the thin crowd. They almost seem to gravitate towards the denser crowds and overhangs on purpose. After one such overhang, Friend suddenly loses track of the pair. When Gash next checks in with Friend, the owl is wheeling above the southern end of the Market District with no sight on the women.
Martin:
Tock and Gash hang back as Martin jogs to catch up with the two women. They move at a brisk but not unusual pace. More unusual is how effortlessly they move through the thin crowd. They almost seem to gravitate towards the denser crowds and overhangs on purpose. But Martin manages to keep a solid idea of where they are and where they are going, following them to the southern gate out of the market district and the city proper. Here, the crowds lessen and Martin has to maintain a distance beyond the reach of his useful nose in order to remain an effective tail...
Neventi furrows her brow. "I wish they would hurry. It is a long way to the next city! We won't get out of Masa today at this rate!" Her frustration appears to be boiling up but not quite over yet. Gentoa switches to patting mud on Bulwark's leg and painting it around with her fingers.
