AREA 40 - DRILL HALL
This open area features six floor-to-ceiling pillars that demarcate a central area bare of furniture. In this central area, the earth floor has been packed closer than elsewhere, as if by the passage of many feet. Several wooden benches stand near the north and south walls. A large mattress has been fixed to the center of the east wall. Attached to it is a large target dummy with the head of a fish-like creature atop it. Several lizardfolk are practicing combat against one another or throwing javelins at the dummy. A powerfully built and tall lizardfolk female stands with several of the heavily armored warriors. She observes the training through narrowed eyes. Another lizardfolk stands near the leader, dressed in a kelp-colored robe and holding a long, polished tooth.
With Carrhae, Misha, and Syltra taking care of the persuading and after having bought some weapons to give to the folk, Kali retreated back to the ship as it wasn't too wise to leave it unmanned (unsure if Sana would have gone back with her too or stayed to explore the caverns). She made sure to write down today's events down before picking up one of her pipes and filling it with some of dat herb and heading out to the top deck. After lighting her pipe up and taking a hit she leans over the rails of the ship and looks out at the ocean, enjoying the view and solitude for the time being. "Wonder how the guys are doin'..." She says to herself idly, taking another smoke.
--Cut to the guys hitting each other and killing themselves--
She exhales followed by a small laugh. "Yeah, they're fine."

Carrhae wasn't quite looking for the lizardfolk training center, but she makes the best of it. Even though she can't communicate verbally with the lizardfolk, Carrhae points to her and her company being armed and armored as proof that they're martially skilled and through use of pantomime, offers the services of her and her crew as trainers for the lizardfolk.
Persuasion: 19
Carrhae and her comrades successfully manage to persuade the lizardfolk, with Carrhae instructing her in the finer points of sword-and-board fighting, while Misha demonstrates her prowess in hand-to-hand combat, wrestling the lizardfolk to the ground multiple times and putting them in a variety of headlocks. Carrhae attempts to offer the further services of her crew to them, asking through pantomime if there are any monsters in the area that need to be slain.

Misha smiled and nodded as Carrhae made her demonstration. It was difficult to get the image of Carrhae's wet breasts out of her head. When Carrhae was done gesturing, Misha took out her shield and hammer, and make some practice strikes at the air. While she did so, a few lizardmen approached her. Or lizardwomen, she couldn't tell. They looked very similar. They inspected her shield and hammer, and while a few feet taller than her, and clearly much more broad, Misha's genetic enhancement made her their equal in strength - which surprised them. Taking advantage of their surprise, she struck hard at the dummy, and offered through gesture to have the lizardmen show her some of their moves, which were mostly brutal feral attacks with no tactics. Grinning broadly and saluting, she turned to Carrhae, and the paladins smile slowly turned to sheepish worry.
Carrhae took Misha aside for a moment. She had time, not enough time where she could idly lie around, but enough where she could have a conversation. "It seems like you've been nervous lately, what's wrong?"

It is discernibly warmer here and a slightly fetid odor wafts from within. The floor of the room is mud, smooth and unbroken except near the door where three tiny reptilian shapes crawl among what look like egg fragments. They are unbearably adorable. Misha squeaks in delight, resisting the urge to pick up and cradle such a precious infant. Unfortunately, Sauriv is not here, but you do notice one of the lizardfolk "toddlers" has been following you around since the beginning of your journey through the compound. As you look around, Misha bends down and gives it a smile and a pat, and does cute things as you explore, like mimic your movements, resisting the urge to crawl all over you, imitating your facial expressions, and just observes you cutely through innocent unblinking eyes of wonder.

Carrhae kneels down and looks into the eyes of the toddler that's been following her and her team throughout the compound. She has to speak with the minister, but she can still spare some time to acknowledge the children. "Oooooh, aren't you just the cutest little thing!? Yes you are!" Carrhae sings to the children, hoping that even though they can't understand her language, the tone of her singing should be enough to lull the children to sleep.

AREA 38 - THE MINISTER'S QUARTERS
This is a small, comfortable room. In the center is a circular wooden table on which lies a closed book. To one side of the table, an aged lizardfolk occupies a crudely upholstered armchair. To the other side, a plain wooden chair sits empty. In the northwest corner, a brass tripod supports a brass bowl filled with hot coals. The room is warm and smoky. Seated in the armchair, reading a papyrus scroll, is the queen’s leading advisor and by far the most intelligent lizardfolk in the lair: the aged minister, Sauriv. He is old, even by lizardfolk standards. His eyes are cloudy, and cannot see very well.
"Ah!" he calls out as you all approach. "Come in. Please, sit down. I understand your people wish to forge an alliance with our people and our allies. Let us discuss the benefits and eliminate any doubts."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Carrhae sits near the Minister and begins speaking with him. "Yes. It seems that my crew and I have been entrusted with representing the surface-dwellers in these negotiations. I believe that by welcoming us into the Alliance, you will not only gain a valuable ally that can provide extra manpower and help with trade, it will also be uniting those who live under the sea and on the surface, hopefully bringing a lasting peace to this region.

Attempt for more favor: Earlier I attempted to win favor with your queen, by volunteering my sword in her service, a task that I was not successful at. However, I still require her approval for this, but I do not have the time to try and plead my case again. Is there a task that needs to be done, so that I can prove that my words are not just wind? Perhaps a beast that needs to be slain, showing that my skill with weapons is as good as my word?"
