After exploring the temple, Lusith will return to the entranceway and will eat breakfast and practice with the spear he acquired earlier, waiting more or less patiently for the rest to wake up and be ready.
In general, the temple is deserted, except for rats.
Returning to your the next room:
4) These are simple rooms with panelled walls and the ruins of furniture—tables and chairs—scattered all over. The walls have been hacked upon by orcs looking for secret panels and passages but, except for firewood, there is nothing of interest here. The floor is tile, and the shutters are closed over all the windows. As your torch light fills the room, you here the scuttling of rats looking for shelter from the light. You can hear the heavy sounds off the storm through the shutters.
OCC: Unless someone jumps in, I will continue to post Lustig's exploration in the morning, noon-ish and afternoon, one room at a time. I will also roll his perception on the side.
Retracing your steps and opening the door in the north side of the hall, you are hit with a blast of cold air and icy rain. Balls of hail, the size of large dandelion buffs strike the ground. By the dim torchlight, you can see bushes and trees swaying in the wind...
Closing the door before the torch is extinguished, you continue your search...
13) Opening the door, you again hear the scurry of rats seeking shelter. This room is filled with shelves containing the rotted and eaten remains of bolts of cloth, pins, buttons and other sewing implements.
Opening the next door, you are presented with a small "L" shaped corridor, with 3 doors. Choosing and openinging the the door to the south, reveals the remains of a small, modest, chamber. A broken bed, nightstand and dresser can be seen, as will as the remains of some cloth.
"Oh yes, this place is fascinating, or it probably was when it was still used, but its still neat to imagine all the fancy things and the wonderful people who used to live here. I'm sure it was the envy of the island." With that, Lusith will give a little wistful sigh before resuming his usual cheerful expression. "What about you? See any pirate ghosts yet?"
Nic wakes up as Lusith returns, disturbed from a light slumber by the two talking, tosses for a moment trying to go back to sleep, then rises and offers to take last watch. If Janey takes him up, he’ll ask if she minds if he borrows the books she found while he watches.
OCC: Sorry, all. Family stuff came up. Just getting caught up on the threads.
The last 2 rooms on the 1st floor, where dormitories. Looking through the tattered remains of clothing would have revealed one was for men and the other women, but nothing else of value.
So, at the point of Lusith finishing the first floor, you would have about 3 hours till dawn. The rain and hail are still heavy, though the weather is growing more fitful, with definite, short, respites.
Let me know if you want actions to stand or if Lusith will continue exploring.

The last room, is much larger, and you can tell by the amount of furniture, that the former occupant was of a higher status then the previous.

"Find anything interesting?" Janey asks Lusith when he returns from his exploration.
"Nope. Just a bunch of freed slaves. Should we wake them up just before dawn?"
"I guess we should let them sleep til then..." and Lusith will move off to practice with his recovered spear.
[ooc: how far through the night would we be at this point?]
Lyle will see that Lusith returned unscathed and go do a more thorough check through those rooms for anything valuable or shiny.
Investigation 11
Paladin - warforged - orange
Nic wakes up as Lusith returns, disturbed from a light slumber by the two talking, tosses for a moment trying to go back to sleep, then rises and offers to take last watch. If Janey takes him up, he’ll ask if she minds if he borrows the books she found while he watches.
Janey gratefully accepts Nicholas's offer to take last watch. "Sure you can take the books" she says. "I can't understand them."
With that, she curls up by the fire and goes back to sleep.
Nicholas will take the books and settle in, choosing the more mystical one to study (whichever wasn’t the journal...).
