"Thank ye sir." Fjolnir packs his gear into the cart after Az. "Yea- that narrows it down. Lets walk around the biggest town in the north an ask everyone about a cartophile. If they have teeth, we'll be lucky enough for them to tell us to piss off in a common language... sigh. Alright. Well when we're on our way, just outside of town, i'll see if I can't grab us some spring fowl or a hare for dinner on the trail."
Lightning bolt! I yell as I gesture a casting motion at Dust's crotch in an attempt to cast a lightning bolt. I'll figure this out if it kills me.... and you.... and everyone around me. READY CHECK STATUS : Ready.

You pack up your extra supplies and head North toward Neverwinter, in search of The Cartophile. It's a 3 day trip at a normal pace, 2 days fast-paced, but you'd take a hit to your perception, 4 days slow-paced but you could try to be stealthy. Which will it be?

Sooooo.... Brought Nazzi all the way to town just to beat up poor old Sildar. I figured in all the righteous fervor we would have at least tried to find him?
Fjolnir looks at him for a moment from the stage- "...what, you want us to go get 'em fore the trail is cold? Speak up if your itchin for a manhunt..."
"You live too much in the past Dirk. We can't change what we've done only use the past to inform our present decisions. If we come across him again, we'll likely have to kill him. And the grass will keep growing and the wind will keep blowing."

1 / 9 / 8 A few miles ahead on the road out of Phandalin, toward the top of a tall cluster of trees, is a group of 4 stirges in plain sight. They seem to be watching you.
It's not odd that stirges lie in wait for prey, but it is odd that they do so in broad daylight and in plain view. You get the sense that they think they are more hidden than they are, or that you just wouldn't look up.

Dust acknowledges the stirges. "Looks like we have ourselves a standoff. It shouldn't be hard to kill them, but then that's what worries me." He summons up his dancing lights and sends them towards the stirges to harass them.
Fjolnir pulls a few arrows from his quiver and knuckles them, knocking one while standing and waiting- watching patiently, ready for an attack the second they leave their roost in any direction toward the cart.
We make preparations load the cart and head for neverwinter.

Az Emberi chuckles. "Even if its a dead end, bigger town means better gear and larger ale selection."

Im saying we should leave well enough alone next time. Leave the justice to paying customers and self righteous, anal stick wearing plate necks.

Fjolnir, who was silently scraping his teeth with a root, now stares, mouth agape, root hanging, at the interaction between the stirges and Dirk.
The stirges continue staring with no obvious reaction. They are about 100' ahead and 30' up the trees.
