Dirk and Fjolnir get a new dagger and scimitar respectively. (Describe the weapon yourself, it's your flavor weapon, make it look like what you want. Material suggestions: bone, coral, shells, stone, or anything you think that could be found in the sea and be functional.)
The captain trades some rations for an equal amount of fish and such.
The merfolk nod in thanks to Absinthe and the rest of you. They disappear beneath the surface. 6
The rest of the day and night goes by with no notable happenings.
Come the next morning, you're all starting to get the hang of the ship's movements, except Fjolnir who already felt at home, and perhaps Mary who keeps to the center, periodically shuffling cards and trying not to vomit.
Early morning you happen to notice a pod of orca swimming alongside the ship. Will you leave them alone as warned by the merfolk, or take to fishing them out of the water for profit?
Either way roll perception.

Dirk trades a regular dagger for an unusually crafted one, perhaps ritualistic in nature. Bright orange, Coral knife with a smoothed, wave form to the blade that sparkles when it catches the light. A carved bone guard meticulously compliments tangled around itself appearing as a hydra. The pommel is rather large, but not terribly special pearl. The whole weapon is unusually balanced given it's components and properties, feels heavy and tougher than one would think.

"I see, well you've already proved yer usefulness. We press on then." The captain mans the helm and switches off shifts at night with the first mate.
You continue the journey uneventfully until you start seeing a higher abundance of trade ships, and around dawn of the fourth day at sea, you are pulling into Waterdeep.
Ships are moving in and out of harbor, griffin riders are patrolling above, and a large castle looms over the sprawling city.
"We'll dock here for the day and ship out at dawn tomorrow." The captain announces to the entire crew. Then he addresses the party specifically, "Yer welcome to join us on the next leg, I rather liked our arrangement. Of course, yer welcome to sail with someone else if the wait is too long fer ya. A word of advice, though: Don't get into trouble in Waterdeep. Tha laws are many and tha punishments are harsh, so unless ya want ta spend the next year or two o' yer life payin' off debts, keep yer nose clean, lay low, and stay in the Docks District. This city is too big to go explorin' in a day. See ya on tha morrow, maybe."
Mary doesn't even let him finish his speech, she can't get off the boat fast enough. Garrett stays nearby, and gearbox stays near Garrett.

Absinthe takes a jug full of his brew and proceeds to go to a few of the nearest bars with the intent of sharing his recipe if the tavern owner enjoys it. (I'm not looking to sell it or make any money at all. Just trying to make Stormbrew a household name.)

I'll check the harbormasters' office for any expected departures that might be going far south- but i'll confirm with ya right away before everyone takes their leave. I'm definitely not gonna stray too far; used to be old stomping grounds round here." Fjolnir leaves to confirm options for the next leg of their passage.

Dirk: So long as you removed the gold from your inventory, you buy all that stuff and 20 gold goes to the party loot. As far as your search, the Dock Ward isn't quite a "rich" area, but the locals all say The Soaring Pegasus is the nicest establishment nearby. The barkeep offers you a free room for your performance and you earn 6 silver in tips. (big money!) Your tab for the night's drinking is also paid.

Absinthe: You hit three taverns before settling at The Soaring Pegasus with the rest of the party, which you also give the recipe to. All four bartenders give you a puzzling look, and all of them wonder why you're not trying to make money off of your own personal brew. The owner of The Pickled Fisherman is so suspicious that he declines your offer, sensing some ulterior motive. No one just gives away secret recipes
Az Emberi and Fjolnir: "We'll be makin' a stop in Baldur's Gate, then maybe farther South if there's a job worth takin'." The harbor master's office confirms that not many ships venture South of Amn if they work along the Sword Coast, it'd be best to check at Baldur's Gate or Candlekeep. You arrive at The Soaring Pegasus with everyone else.

You start working on putting together the ritual to resummon the guardian Spectator to the forge. The mine is still months out from turning a profit, although your efforts are saving costs.
Everyone except Dirk: Your tab for drinks and a room comes out to 3 silver each.
Morning comes with light all too bright and heads all too hurting. Assuming there are no last-minute preparations, you rejoin the crew to sail farther South.

During the first day at sea, (Captain Miggeter estimates 5 full days and port on the 6th morning) the sky grows dark long before it should, as lightning cracks and thunder booms in the distance, along the coast, and as wide as 5 miles out into the ocean. "I don't like the looks o' that, lads. Somethin' wrong when a storm don't move, just stayin' in one place like that. Somethin' bad wrong. We can easily go around, but that'll add a few hours to our trip, and we'll get ta Baldur's Gate later in tha day. If you're alright with that, I'll plot a new course, if not, we go through."
Fjolnir stares at the squall sucking wind through is teeth... "Ohhh. Fellas, i'm thinking we risk takin longer, i don't want to eat seaweed and get the breath blown back into my lungs by merfolk- they ain't easy on the eyes..."
Az looks longingly at the storm with a wistful smile then falls flat on his face. Will he ever get his sea legs? "I agree the ability to be cautious at sea arises too seldom to not take advantage. I say around."

You make the intelligent decision to avoid not only a storm, but a storm that seems permanent in its location. Unnatural! Probably not a big deal; you're likely to never hear about it again.
The day and night pass without any further incident.
