Tony huffs, “Great. Winging it like usual.” He’ll walk over.

(this guy isn't threatening you at the moment. In fact, other than the creepy mask he's pretty thoroughly non-threatening period. You have time to come up with a game plan before speaking to him if you like.

Tony has gone through a great deal of character growth, as he has learned that jumping headfirst into new situations cane be perilous. Buuuuuuuut, new season baby! Time for brash Tony once more!

Tony walks over

Fiorello shakes his head as he sees the young video game prodigy approaching the very oddly masked individual. Well that could turn out wrong, he thinks. And although Wrecks and Ted seem to be in their element, he nudges the ghosts mind a little and taps Ted on the shoulder, "Hey rocker dude, tiny dude's headed toward weirdo dude. I'm gonna see what's up!"

Wrecks moves toward the horse headed guy and tries to get a peak in the room beyond as Tony makes his way over. He makes sure to give the strange fellow a bit of chill as he passes by and through.

Wrecks drifts back toward Ted, "Hey, metal man, let's follow the little dude and see what's rockin' through those curtains, I think it's time for a pinball wizard!" and Wrecks launches into a performance of The Who's famous song as he twists himself in to short images of Tommy keeping the ball in play all by intuition, becoming one with the machine.

When Perspicacious feels the heat of the coin, she snatches Ted's hand back. "Whoah.." he says. She nudges him towards the apparition. "Oh right! The Arcade. Let's go, ghost dude."

The heat of the coin was unsettling. She can't recall where she'd ever felt it more than just slightly warmed, and she's used to heat. She decides to hold off exploring anymore, until they get to the arcade. Maybe this horse headed fellow could assist them...

Amaruve (his Bateman persona forgotten for a moment) chats amiably with Burble in druidic. A ghostly server stops by, her tray laden with glasses. "Need anything, hun?" she warbles.

Jean hangs back, one hand at her hip where the tower blade normally resides. Now there's just a canister of mace. In the back of April O'Neil's mind, Jean recalls that the journalist had been carrying something in a long, thin duffel bag when she arrived at Ghostbusters HQ this morning. That bag is currently sitting in the trunk of the Ecto-3 outside.

The man in the chair sits up straight. He's clearly wearing a mask, but the horse face nevertheless seems to stretch and change, giving it the sudden impression of a wide grin.

He eyes Tony, and his grin slips just a little. "Nǐmen yǒurén shuō pǔtōnghuà ma?" He says, his voice a bit muffled under the mask. The words tickle something in your host's language center, Tony, but you don't understand it. Seeing your blank stares, he sighs and switches to a heavily accented Common. "That's fine; I should know better than to get my hopes up on this side of the East River. Anyway, hellooooo, my damned ones! Welcome to the Leisure Room!"

He spreads his arms wide, that rubber grin appearing on his face yet again. "I must say, you picked a HELL of a nice spot to spend eternity. I thought Nuckelavee was going to grab you and pop off your little heads FOR SURE. No idea how you made it to my corner of the afterlife, but I'm just pleased as punch that you're here!" 

Tony crosses his arms, “Happy to be here, so, why are you a horse?”

He cocks his head. "That depends," he says slowly. "We haven't introduced ourselves, have we?" He takes out a small, black, flip-top spiral notebook from his inside jacket pocket. Flipping it open, he crosses his legs and holds a small silver ballpoint pen above the page. "Give me your names," he says, a hint of command in his voice.

(Tony, Fiorello, and Perspicacious! Roll Brains- and don't forget the ghost die! Fiorello, just base this roll off of your "power")

Tony’s Got Brains: 9 and 3

Tony flinches a bit, but locks his jaw, “Lil’. And you?”

"That's funny. You don't look like a 'Lillian'..." He jots down that piece of your name and (after writing down any names he manages to grab from the other two), stands from his chair, tucking his notebook away. "My name is Horse Face, the Ma-Mien. I am Guardian of the Eastern Gate and First Envoy to Hell. I am the unburnt one, sworn enemy of Sun Wukong and his children. To you, I am the second Horseman of the Apocalypse." He sketches a small bow. "But you may call me Mezu."

Before Perspicacious even has a chance to consider, Ted is announcing himself. (Brains: 3 +  Ghost 6)

"I am Ted "Theodore" Logan, and these are my companions! Together we are... The Ghostbusters!"

Perspicacious internally rolls her eyes as Ted does the requisite air guitar, and suddenly a thought occurs to her. After the triumphant riff, she grabs the burning coin, palms it, and reaches out to shake hands with the horseheaded man.

(OOC Even though he succeeded, Ted opts to give his full name anyway...)

(totally fine. We'll call that the result of the ghost die, then!)

Jean nipped back outside to grab the bag and came back. As her 'ID' she undid one of the buttons on her yellow jumpsuit, both Jean and April were familiar enough with that plan for getting into bars, and stepped back to where the others were. "And I'm with these guys." She said.

Before the others make their way to Horse Face, Jean suddenly realizes that she left something a little useful out in the Ecto-3. She dashes up the stairs from the basement and heads back out through the foyer on the main level and onto the street. Major Miles, confused by her sudden departure, sets his cigar squarely between his teeth and follows the woman in the yellow jumpsuit. 

You grab your duffle bag without issue, Jean. But as you do, you hear footsteps approaching. "It's dangerous to walk around New York alone, miss. Even more so when you're time traveling, I would wager." Major Miles is there, his gun drawn and his eyes looking down the street. "Something ain't right. These streets were cram-jammed full of spooks just a few minutes ago... Where do you think-"

There's an enormous crash and a window-rattling roar. A proton pistol is fired once, twice...

And then the street is empty once again. Of Major Miles and Jean, there is no sign.

Horse Face instinctively reaches out to shake your hand, but seeing the glimmer of gold in your palm, he stops just short. "Ah. Trying to be clever, little sister?" He asks, a sly grin stretching across his rubber mask. He holds up a hand and, like a party magician performing a trick, produces a coin that is identical  to the one held by Perspicacious. It dances back and forth across the back of his knuckles. "Not a bad try, but our coins won't work on anyone here. These souls are claimed."

He takes his seat once again next to the velvet rope. "Now then, I suggest you all settle in and-" There is a crash outside that rattles the bottles behind the bar. Dust trickles down from the floorboards overhead...

At the moment of Mezu’s distraction, Tony slips a small stone talisman into his palm from his backpack. Tony doesn’t use the item, but he has it on hand, “Alright, Mezu, what was that?”
