Wanting to know more about the blood, Jones looks around the room for a tool he can use to help clear more of the rubbish: a broom or shovel or something that can be used as such. If he doesn't find anything, he does the deed by hand.
In his search for the broom he gets a better look at the room he's in. As Jones walks around the waiting area and then goes to the north wall where two passages go to two directions, Arcon arrives. Arcon immediately notices the smell is stronger here. She also gets to take in the abandoned hospital in all its glory. What follows is a detailed description of the room you guys are in based on both Jones and Arcon's perspective.
Starting from the entrance, the waiting area is a large reverse L-shaped room with the reception to the east. It used to be separated from the waiting room by a thin wall, a wooden door and thick pane of glass that is all too common for reception desks. The door has become rotten and stuck but the broken window offers access to the reception room beyond. In the reception room are a few filing cabinets, a dead potted plant and a small table with a broken coffee jar. To the west of the waiting room, obscured by a pile of debris and toppled furniture is a flight of stairs leading up. It was probably not hidden from view on purpose but rather due to the normally piled junk and furniture. In the waiting room itself, as mentioned previously, the floor is lined with all sorts of junk ranging from stained newspaper to rusty pipes that were brought from outside to used needles and broken glass. The ceiling is lined with fluorescent light holders. One holder is missing from the ceiling and instead remain bent on the floor; probably fell from the ceiling when the hospital was hit. A few more light holders have their lights busted. The few that still have intact tubes in them seem to not work. The room stretches north to a wall and opens up into passages to the east and west. On the north wall is a rusty steel door. It is locked. The steel door, though attached to the north wall is in the west passage. On the west wall at the end of said passage is another flight of stairs. These ones are made of metal. These were probably part of the fire exit. In the west passage on the south wall is an elevator. It has no power. At the end of the east passage is very thick steel door. It is also locked. This one doesn't look rusted compared to the other one. To the south is a wooden door that has a scratched name-plate that reads, "Janitor Closet 1". This door is unlocked. The room beyond is much darker than the outside room. From what little light comes from the now open door, you find a broom and a bunch of boxes and containers.
Jones gets back and begins sweeping the rubbish away. It takes a while and he is almost done. The blood stain is looking more like a trail of some kind. Like something had been dragged through it. As he sweeps the last of the rubbish away, Whisper arrives.
Whispers headed for Hive Street in the most expedient way, be it foot, cab or bus. She doesn't have any superpowered travel at the moment so it's mundane stuff for her!
She comes into the building, clearly gagging a bit on the smell, "aww hell what died?"
When Jones realizes Arcon has entered, he approaches her in a non-threatening way, but very much looking like a police officer. "This may not be a crime scene, but the building has been condemned. As a civilian, you shouldn't be entering." He tries to look tough, but the stench makes him wrinkle his nose, which undermines the air of intimidation he's trying to exude.
"And as a super, I most definitely should." She gestures at the blood on the floor. "Something happened here. I think two of us will stand a much better chance against whatever did it than just you."

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
"Well I'm trying out a new supers look." she tugs on the hood of the coat, it's up as usual but fails to entirely hide her now longer hair.
Whispers does a once over of Ilia, "Nothing wrong with jeans and tee. Besides, you were doing your.." she wiggles her hand about, ".. ya know, church thing."
She narrows eyes slightly, "You do have your little super gizmo on you right? Otherwise you're a bit squishy."
Jones puts his hands on his hips while looking at the lock. "Either of you good at picking locks?" he asks of the women, sighing in anticipation of an affirmative answer.
If they both say no, looking at the construction of the door, does it look air tight, or could something very small crawl under? Also, does the lock look like one that would need a key on both sides?
With the amount of supers Hylon has, it is not uncommon to have heavy doors that can't be broken via normal super strength (in mechanics terms, normal super strength is anything below a strength score of 20 while advanced super strength is 21 - 30. This is of course, considering the super in question tries to break through the door with just his fists. If he had some tools to assist him, like a crowbar or something, he might be able to break through the door even with a strength score of 20 or lower). This seems to be one of those heavy doors. Other than the sheer durability of the door, it is otherwise normal. It is not air-tight and things can crawl under it and it doesn't need to have a key on both sides at once. Once someone locks this door, it needs a key to open regardless of which side of it you're on.
Ilia powers up her PMA, and begins making small movements with her fingers, manipulating and shaping the solid light which emits from her hands. A few seconds later, a large crowbar forms in the air between her hands. She picks it up and tosses it to Jones.
"Try this. It's unstable and will dissipate if you try and smack something with it, but it should work for what you're trying to do."

(Thank you. I picked it up from video games)

"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"

((We'll catch up to the sweeping in a minute.))
"And as a super, I most definitely should." She gestures at the blood on the floor. "Something happened here. I think two of us will stand a much better chance against whatever did it than just you."
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Whispers gives Archon a poke, "Hello. Three."
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
"Oh! Where'd you come out of? Creeping up out of nowhere like that!"
(Lol I swear I realized that Whispers arrived. Definitely.)
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Whispers looks at Ilia like she's lost her mind.. and silently thumbs over her shoulder toward the door.
She lets that hang in the air a few moments then breaks out a small smile and strikes a pose, "Like my new coat?"
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
"Yeah, you look great! I didn't really put as much effort into my wardrobe." She gestures at her jeans and blue "Caves and Creatures" t-shirt.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."

"Ladies," Jones finally interrupts. "If you're going to be here, then make yourselves useful."
NOW Jones follows the trail.
"Never without it."
Ilia takes her pack off, unzips it, and pulls out the PMA. She takes a minute to put it on and let it boot up, then follows Jones.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Whispers smirks a bit at Jones and trails behind Ilia, sending this to her..
I was wondering how long it would take him to interrupt and be all business..
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
The blood trail leads to the east section of the room (like the one I mentioned). It goes under the heavy steel door.
What kind of lock is on the door?
The lock is built in to the door. It is not a digital lock though.
Jones puts his hands on his hips while looking at the lock. "Either of you good at picking locks?" he asks of the women, sighing in anticipation of an affirmative answer.

"Gimme a sec."
