Power Trip

There are no keys in the room you are in. Your options are two sets of stairs, one on the opposite end of the hall you're in and the other back in the sitting area, an elevator, another metal door.

Did Spider-Creature see any elevator doors downstairs?

No.

Whispers looks between Archon and Creature, "So what now? Zombies sound fun and horrifying."

Jones stops and looks at Whispers. "Horrifying, I can agree with." Looking back toward the lobby, he says, "We need to find a key or something to break down this door." Looking back at the women, he says, "Stick together or split up?"

Whispers looks aghast at Creature, "Oh hell no. We're sticking together.. zombies dude!"

"Never. Split. The. Party. Do you know nothing?"

Whispers nods and takes a moment to shield herself with a 'spell' they've seen often enough (mage armor). "Ok, I'm ready. Pick a direction."

"Good idea. I'll do that too."

Ilia weaves some plates of armor out of light, and assembles them on her body(mage armor).

"Party?" Jones repeats to himself, looking incredulous. He finally turns from the women and leads them back into the lobby with a short shake of the head. "All right, which way?" he asks.

Whispers looks around and points at the options, "Stairs. Stairs. Door. Elevator.. well I'd rather not get stuck in one with zombies around." she shrugs and points at the other door, "I mean we're right here."

Jones walks up to see if he can get the door open.

STR alone: 6

This door is also locked. It was also a heavy door at one point but during the Event, it has taken so much damage that it is now possible for supers to break it even with normal super strength (STR score of 10-20). Unfortunately Creature seems to be unable to open it (roll too low). Someone else can try and break it down or you can try finding a key.

Whispers shrugs and goes to tug on the door (be hilarious if this works).

4 (oh wait, she's only got str 8.. so maybe not?)

(Actually the STR 10 - 20 was just the range of super strength. If you needed a minimum ability score to do something, I would have explicitly said it)

Whispers tugs the door and tugs hard. It makes a cracking sound before breaking off the frame and almost crushing Whispers. Beyond seems to be the back alley of the hospital. The door appears to have been the emergency exit.

Whispers yelps as she lets go suddenly and tumbles backward onto her ass and rolling just enough the avoid the door.

Also beyond the door in the alley is a backpack with drugs in it. Should you decide to sell it, it will get you some cash. There's also very little chance of getting caught since the police are busy with more important things (like God Father for example) to worry about a bag of drugs. You also find a barbed baseball bat (Mace), a pair of handguns (2 Hand crossbow) and some ammunition for said handguns (20 Bolts).

Whispers brushes off and goes to poke around (aka loot). She grabs one of the guns and some ammo (10) and peeks inside the bag, "Oh hello."

Is it a drug she recognizes?

It's a cheap drug that's informally called Mustard. As far as drugs go, it's relatively safe. Doing any kind of drug is a bad idea but if someone HAD to take one, this is probably your safest bet.

Whispers shrugs and throws the backpack over her shoulder, "Guess it's the stairs next." she heads for the nearest one and peers up before actually accending.
