FINDING THE COIN (ALL): Argentil is an endless ocean of a plane. The Avatar of Argentil, bathed in cosmic moonlight and astronomical beauty hid the Coin far down in the ocean of the plane, thinking they would no longer need it. To possess the coin is to know everything there is about the heavens and navigation, never to get lost, and the only way to reach Umbra. The planetars point to the location they believe the coin may reside. Now it's time for one of you to shine. One person will need to make a DC20 Athletics to survive the crushing depths of this planar ocean to find the Coin.
You can do anything you want but there is no bypassing the check. Just cuz you can turn into a water swimming creature dosent mean its still not dangerous or challenging in some shape or form.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Like a submarine emptying it’s ballast tanks to go down, OU812 winks at the rest of the crew and then dives below the surface and sinks down into the murky depths with accelerating speed. Quickly reaching the crushing depths, he can feel his natural armor pressing inwards, but it’s not an all together unpleasant experience as he doesn’t need to breath so there is no pressure on any lungs or heart to make him hurry. Taking his sweet time, he begins to explore around, searching for the coin.
DC20 Athletics check: 20 + 4 Guidance
After taking a little too long to find the coin, he finally saw a glimmering gold light shining through a pile of mud. Quickly swimming over to it, he shoved away a pile of detritus and uncovered a blindingly bright coin. Picking it up, he could feel it throbbing with energy. This HAD to be the prize! But wow, was it bright!
Temporarily blinded, he stashed the coin in an internal compartment, turned around, and slammed right into a pile of boulders, taking 8 damage.
Temporarily dazed, after a minute he came to and sensed that his time at this crushing depth was taking its toll, and that he better return back to the surface post haste.
Surfacing like a whale breaching, OU812 excitedly returns back to his nervous waiting teammates, barely making the journey back safely!
Lord have mercy that was a close one. Nice narrative!
ATTUNING THE COIN(ALL):Once OU812 retrieved the Coin, the only thing left to do was to get it attuned to your minds. After all, only a few special souls on the plane had the mental capacity to absorb and comprehend the astronomical knowledge contained within the Coin. As the Avatar of Argentil prepares the ritual, she asks that you all empty your minds and prepare to be gifted with all the secrets and knowledge of the universe. Armed with this information, you will be able to find the star of Umbra and take the fight to it. Everyone needs to make a DC20 Arcana check to be able to withstand the magics and information contained within the coin. Fail, and your brain can't process the information and you lapse into a coma. Forever.
Bless, Guidance, class bonuses. You're gonna need it all. And we've still got two planes to visit, this shit aint getting easier! Good news, everyone: should you return home, you get another two levels to make things "easier" while shit gets "harder".
Ooc: I'm not sure if Penguini is going to be around to roll for Evrik, but I know he has bless and I'm not too sure if it would be okay if i used a slot for it ;; Grianne as guidance i believe? so if he's okay with me using bless, grianne could come in with guidance so we could add two 1d4 to our rolls. I'm pretty sure we're all gonna help each other out with the attunement so we have adv which will help a ton and don't think raiiks aura could be used here :(

This would be the first time in a very long time Alessandra could say she was afraid of failing this attunement, but with the aid of her team, it made it all the more easier. Until she saw Grianne fall. The aasimar knelt before the elf with a grief stricken look about her face. There was nothing she could do for her. "I'm sorry..." She whispers silently. "I'm sorry."

The death of Grianne weighs heavy, very heavy, on your hearts. Dying from what would be known later on as an aneurysm, Griannes body was taken back to the Warehouse, where, possibly, you guys found a peaceful resting spot for her on the plane of Summeroak.
Umbra destroyed more and more worlds as time went on, and the one remaining hope you held close to your heart as the cosmos ached and strained is that, for a while, you banded together and survived realms mortals rarely got to see, to try and stop the greatest threat the Universe ever knew by communicating and visiting the homes of the Gods that once held the evil at bay. The rest of you were able to use the power of the Coins for whatever purpose you saw fit, but the loss of one of your own was too much to bear, and the combined strength of what was left..was not enough.
What you did next, if you survived at all, would be a story for another day, another time.

Am I not able to wild shape into something that can do it and bypass the check? Or can I do something similar to help and guide OU812 ?
