Steinarr makes his way back to Elmar after leaving the Coster. Once back inside he waves to Elmar
My friend I have a question for you. The cart and oxen we brought the supplies on, will you be needing them for the next few days? We plan on tracking the goblins back and staging a rescue on Gundren and Sildar and I was wondering if we could borrow the cart in the likely case they are injured and in need of transportation. I could leave a deposit against the loss?
Soron, you enter the common room of the inn and speak to the man standing behind the bar. Greetings, sir. I am the proprietor, Toblen Stonehill. Welcome to the Stonehill Inn. He is a young human man, short and appears to be very friendly. Well, we don't have a huge variety. I can get you a bottle of fine wine for ten gold pieces - you want the bottle, right? Or individual glasses? The cheapest we have is regular ale, that's what most folk are drinking. He waves around the room. That will cost you four copper a mug, or two silver for a gallon.
As you are speaking, Kylara enters and comes up to the innkeeper. Yes, yes, I am. Toblen Stonehill, pleased to meet you. Welcome to my inn. Goodness, two newcomers on the same day, did you travel together? How were the roads? They say it's becoming dangerous to venture out of town these days. Freda? Do you know Freda? She's right over there, and he turns and indicates the woman who is chatting to the server. Freda, you know this lady? Freda shakes her head, and resumes her conversation.
So, well, a room is five silver pieces for the night; we've six rooms altogether - erm, how many of you are there?
A pitcher of regular wine - not the fine stuff, you understand - will cost two silver pieces.
The innkeeper seems a little taken aback by the barrage of questions, but is responding in a good natured manner. And might I enquire who you both are? And what brings you to our fair town?
Kylara replies to the owner. Nice to meet you, and thank you for your assistance, I am Kylara Danavis. I was told I could find Freda here to do some custom work for me. I ask Demetrio, Would you like to share a room to save some of our funds for the future and we can split the cost?I turn back to Toblen and say, We have delivered some supplies for your town, but our employer has been captured and we are returning in the morning to see if we can find him. I apologize for being brief, but I have business to attend too so that we can find him.I then walk over to Freda and introduce myself, Hello Freda, I was referred to you by Elmar, he said you can possibly do some leather bindings for me, and I have a few possibly unique requests.
If she can I ask her to do the following:
Bind Leather strappings to my backpack to properly hold my kettle and buckets, as currently they are strapped inside and take up too much space.
Bind a leather loop around the handle of my shield so that I can have it wrapped around my wrist (similar to a dog leash) (same thing with the handle of my club)
I can leave these items with you but I need to retrieve them first thing in the morning before we leave town.
I go back to Elmar and have a brief conversation about purchasing 4 empty waterskins and when I return I purchase a pitcher of cheap wine.
I ask Soron Did you get a bottle of Fine Wine while I was off shopping for other wares? (as I would not know what he had done before I had entered)
Also that is an odd drink combination that you ordered earlier. (referring to the wine and ale)
Steinarr, Elmar listens to your words and frowns. Make a Persuasion check.
Kylara, Freda greets you and listens to your requests. The first, with the straps to your pack, I can do at a cost of five silver. Now if you wish, though you're disturbing my drinking. But no mind. She looks a little annoyed, but seems willing to do the work nonetheless. Hand me your pack and I'll take it to my workshop.
For the second, I'm not sure. You worried about dropping your weapon in battle? Or someone wrenching it from your grasp. I don't know how well I can attach a leather strip to a club, to be honest. And as for the shield, well, if a foe tugs it hard enough to come out of your hand andit's strapped on, I reckon it might snap your wrist in two. Not saying it can't be done. I'm saying it will take time to figure out, and the result might not be what you hope. But not tonight. The first is a small thing, quickly done. If you're in town for a few days, come see me about the second.
If you're willing to pay five silver, Freda will take your pack and leave.
Thank you Freda, we can talk about the second option another time. I would like my pack done before we leave in the morning though. Let me empty my pack and please enjoy your drink and don't let me disturb you too much on this fine evening. I will be by to pick up my pack first thing in the morning. I empty my pack in my room and return to drop it off with the silver and move over to sit beside Solon.
Demetrio catches kylara outside her room after she drops her bags off.
its ok, I am just trying to show some gratitude. I’m sure I would’ve headed towards Phandalin eventually and if I went alone instead of with the group as part of this job. Well I’m afraid I would be taking dirt naps instead.
i appreciate your offer and would love to share rooms with you, but for tonight. I must insist on my solitude. It’s been hard enough ever since I met you, with the way we talk at night and when you touched my arm last night. It just reminds me of my wife so much. You and her are just so much alike and well ... i don’t know ... how .. to explain it. But I do enjoy your company and our travels together. I haven’t felt like this is so long, I thought I lost this part of myself.
Then demetrio promptly wqlks off becore kylara cN even respond. But you notice he doesn’t seem to have that sad presence among as you saw a few days ago. Well atleast not as much but you can see he is slowly changing.
Soron looks at Kylara as she sits next to him and says:
So, how did shopping go? while saying that Soron slides the 10 gold coins that she gave to him in the supplies store towards her.
I'm sorry, I did not know what kind of wine you like so I just ordered a glass for myself. As for my choice, yes it might seem weird at first, who would combine fine wine with a common ale you might think, but I am not combining them , I'll first finish the wine(he sips from his glass of wine, slowly) and then drink the ale. As you probably know I'm 'here' to aquire knowledge, but I'm also here for sensations and this way I made a habbit of drinking at least a glass of the finest beverage in each city or town I go to. But that's a bit too much about me ...
Soron drinks a bit more of his wine (you can now see that he did not even finish half of that glass of wine) and gives Kylara time to answer his question.
(Ooc how much is that glass of the finest wine and that ale in total?)
Soron, the wine was two gold pieces and the ale was two copper pieces.
Time passes, and the common room fills up with a few more people. The atmosphere remains a little subdued, and no-one seems very keen to talk to you, though they don't exactly avoid you either.
You can attempt to talk to people, or turn in for the night.
The tavern's door swings open and a 6 feet tall, handsome shorthaired Drow, clad in neatly adorned clothes and studded leather armor with details in silver and purple colors enters. A large adventurer's backpack on his back, rapier sheathed on his hip, a very small and uncommon crossbow on the other side.
Smiling and ignoring any eventual looks or whispers addressed to him he approaches the bar, looks at the bartender and slides a coin whispering something and moving to an empty table at a lowly lit corner.
whispers: "Just bring me the best wine in the house and the key for a room. I'll be over there for now. Let the barmaid show me the options for meals."
Demetrio catches kylara outside her room after she drops her bags off.

Well, Kylara starts slowly, eyes slightly averted, I do not want to overstep any boundaries, and I am sorry for your loss. She then adds a druidic customary blessing for the departed and the bereaved.
Soron looks at Kylara as she sits next to him and says:
So, how did shopping go? while saying that Soron slides the 10 gold coins that she gave to him in the supplies store towards her.

Kylara. Now that all of the other errands are done for the day, I sit down next to Soron as he sips his wine.
Well I did purchase quiet a few things as I'm sure you saw how full my pack was when I came by.I then flag down the inn keeper and orders a bottle of fine wine and also 5 pitchers of wine to be brought up to my room, and continue the conversation. I got a tent first off and my own kettle for tea, and you were the only one to even say anything about it....I am glad you liked it, I should be able to get the proper supplies to make it again sometime soon.
So can you tell me a bit more about Odinn like how long you have had him and what his favorite food is? He seams to have taken a liking to me. And that also reminds me, what was your drink in Neverwinter? I can't seem to recall the best drink of choice there...
Steinarr, Elmar shakes his head at you. No deposit necessary, my friend. It is Gundren's cart after all, and you folk seem to be planning on using it in his rescue, so you can just take it. My lads are taking care of the oxen, but I'll have them hitched to the cart again and ready for travel tomorrow at dawn. Good luck to you, and thank you for doing what you can.
Steinarr heads to the tavern and spots the others at their table. He waves to the bar staff. Good evening could I get a meal and an ale please. I’ll be at that table over there.
He sits down with the others who haven’t already gone upstairs. I have arranged to borrow the oxen and cart tomorrow from Elmar so we can transport the stolen goods and any injured if we find them.
It's now late in the tavern common room. Demetrio and X have both already headed to their rooms. Soron, Kylara and Steinarr are sitting at a table, and the other tables are filled with a variety of townsfolk, chatting and drinking amiably. It's not a very boisterous atmosphere; there's no music, no dice or card games, and people are keeping to their own tables. The innkeeper Toblen and the server Elsa are moving from table to table, checking that people are supplied with food and drink. Toblen comes over to your group. Is everything okay, my new friends?
Kylara. Now that all of the other errands are done for the day, I sit down next to Soron as he sips his wine.
