Jove is all about this plan. He plays dead and everything, even his eyes roll back (AKA looking through Caiphon's eyes now). He prestidigitates some blood around him after he is "stabbed". Caiphon is on the lookout for more Salamanders, and will telepathically notify Harmony of the situation if anything changes.

Harmony, Jove, and Olive:
Jove CHA Save: 21
The lizardfolk seem rapt by Harmony's performance, urged on by the salamander, who is practically squealing with delight at the "sacrifice". The display, which is made even more real by Jove's own emotions - he looks to be genuinely uncomfortable with these actions - has also drawn the attention of a second salamander on the far side of the settlement.
For Jove:
The moment you lay upon the altar, it grows incredibly uncomfortable. It feels as if a thousand knives are pricking at your back. Your mind suddenly flashes to unpleasant images; images of yourself on a rampage, smashing into familiar doors in Ruskivek and tearing through city guards, families, beggars, barmaids, and children as if they were a dog's chew toy. These images flash in and out, alternating back and forth to the scene in front of the lizardfolk and salamander. Perhaps the most uncomfortable thought is that parts of the images seem pleasing to some small part of your mind, a part that you have to concentrate to push back. Something is very wrong.
It takes all of your concentration to maintain your force of will.

Aisha:
The voice within your mind much mirrors your own inflections, though it carries a deeper tone and a different accent. "Water? Do you know of my companion or...hmm...you have had much the same idea as we, yes? Well...we have a predicament, my new friend. You see, the second any of us stop working, this salamander is going to be quite unpleased. We will need a more immediate distraction, or...you say you can fight, yes? Or, I could send a message to each of the prisoners here, like I am to yourself, but that will take time."
OOC: It is very difficult to tell whether the voice is honest, with the unfamiliar accent and the fact that you can't see him. He does seem to be speaking earnestly and openly.
As before, you can respond with a telepathic message of your own.

From behind the wall, two more lizardfolk emerge, taking stock of the situation and shouting a cry of their own.
Round 2 Order: Abraxas <===== Lizardfolk

Aisha took stock of the situation and growled softly to herself. They didn't exactly have 'time.' But she decided to use just a little more. And Mayor... How did you find yourself to be here? (Insight: 10)
Was all she would say, just wanting to make sure he had been captured and not that he had come here willingly or.. as an enemy, though she doubted that. Once she got both her answers... She would proceed to speaking mentally with whoever Mro was.
Then it seems we have no choice. It appears we must fight... Aisha is against this, as he could always simply shout though he may go unheard... In any case..... Aisha will ready herself. Hopefully you have a trrick up your sleeve. He could also simply try to run. If he does well.. getting out of my range will be rather difficult. Give this one thirty seconds, and she can be ready. Be ready to strike the moment my partner tears into it. We fell it as fast as possible... and get these people out of here. My own partner simply awaits a signal. So lets get this risky mess over with.... Though... she says as she begins to head out quietly to prepare herself This one is curious. You say we may have similar intentions? What were your intentions? She lingers only long enough to get a reply before getting into position, and informing Tsavi of what to do.
(AIsha/Tsavi stealth rolls: 22 / 21)
Aisha intends to sneak around to the other side of the tent to make sure she maintains 'surprise.' While Tsavi gets just within her movement range of the Salamander but out of sight so as to also maintain her surprise. Both readying their respective attacks.
(unless someone majorly bungles a stealth roll...) Once Aisha has counted to forty-five, to allow 'Mro' time to prepare her own readied action, Aisha will then Loose an arrow at the Salamanders back. Once the arrow is loosed, Tsavi will followup with her own Pounce attack. I will assume both are at advantage but if the stealth roll is screwed up or you adjudicate tsavi's pounce to not be 'stealthy' then take the lower of the two rolls etc.
Aisha: Attack: 23 Damage: 4 + Sneak Attack if applicable due to advantage 1
Tsavi: Attack: 24 Damage: 8 + Followup if DC 12 STR save failed/Knocked prone. Attack: 14 Damage: 6
Edit: Rolled the followup with advantage since .. if it fails.. its prone.
(OCC: Was the Salamander that Aisha just attacked a different one or is it the one that Harmony currently has charmed due to Enthralling Performance? Because if that's the case, there goes Harmony's plan....)
Harmony was very confused and worried as Jove looked genuinely uncomfortable, wondering what is wrong. She didn't show it though, quickly thinking of what she wanted to do and hopes that it works. She would slowly turn around, using Thaumaturgy to make her eyes turn blood red as she glares angrily at all the lizardfolk along with causing harmless tremors in the ground and making her voice boom again before she speaks. "This should have worked, it was not enough. It is clear that you pathetic lot are not truly worthy of Lord Zuzeca after all." she would call out to them before looking over to the Salamander she had charmed. "Kill" Harmony would command him, pointing to all the other lizardfolk gathered here except for the one charmed lizardfolk. She figured that while she has this Salamander and one of the lizardfolk charmed, she can possibly get the Salamanders and lizardfolk to fight and kill each other off, serving as a major distraction and lessening the amount of enemies they all may have to fight.
Harmony is activating Mantle of Majesty and as a bonus action will cast Command on the charmed Salamander, Kill regarding the other non-charmed lizardfolk here.
At 6th level, you gain the ability to cloak yourself in a fey magic that makes others want to serve you. As a bonus action, you cast command, without expending a spell slot, and you take on an appearance of unearthly beauty for 1 minute or until your concentration ends (as if you were concentrating on a spell). During this time, you can cast command as a bonus action on each of your turns, without expending a spell slot.
Any creature charmed by you automatically fails its saving throw against the command you cast with this feature.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Abraxas casts Ray of Frost at the wounded lizard folk: 10, for 16 damage. He moves farther up the hill, parallel to the dam, and hopes for signs of fleeing people.
Jove speaks to Harmony telepathically: "I am alright. Just a bit of a scare. This whole Z god thing is quite powerful. I am watching through Caiphon, don't worry. If something goes wrong, throw up the darkness."
Jove is readying his action if the darkness is thrown, to cast shadow blade and go to town on the nearest baddies.
Harmony seems to grow with her command, embodying the picturesque salamander priestess: Horrifying, yet somehow beauteous. Whatever the salamander says to the lizardfolk gathered around it, it clearly has them unsettled. They look back and forth between each other for a split second before scattering in all directions, but not before the salamander skewers a lizardfolk in front of it, thrusting a spear through its neck. It carries the body toward Harmony like a cat presenting a mouse to its owner, laying it before her feet. It turns and charges toward a dozen lizardfolk that have gathered weapons and formed a defensive line.
For Harmony:
The salamander spoke, "Very well. If the humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, and Nekomata were not enough, then Zuzeca must demand the sacrifice of his own followers."

The mayor looks from side to side before breathing a sigh and saying, "Good, you are from Ruskivek? They took me here, as they have the rest of us. They attacked in the middle of night, wearing my own face, the monsters. I have been here for a month, some of us have been here even longer."
The man's voice purrs in your head, "We will speak when this is over. I stand ready. When you strike, I will make my move. Try to keep the prisoners out of the way, yes? I would not count on them for any help, they are...pitiful in their current state."
The salamander is utterly fixated on the happenings across the settlement, and has slowly moved forward, as if it has forgotten why it is here near the prisoners. You take it completely by surprise.
Initiative:
Aisha: 12
Salamander: 15
Salamander STR Save: 10
Spear vs. T'savi: 21Damage: 21
The arrow strikes the salamander in its back, but barely sinks into the creature's obviously tough hide. Before it can spin around to see its aggressor, T'savi pounces on its side, dragging it into the dirt, but yelps and leaps off of it, the side of her face burned by a heat emanating from the infernal creature, taking 7 fire damage. The salamander uses its tail to spring to its feet and plunges its spear into T'savi's side. With a growl of pain, the beautiful panther collapses.
"No!" a now-familiar voice shouts, this time verbally, and you catch your first glimpse of your messenger: Strikingly handsome to most, a lean and lithe cat-like humanoid (like a tabaxi, but shorter and wider in the face), outfitted in worn and tattered adventuring gear. He holds only a flute in his hands, and as he brings it to his mouth, five glowing darts spread from it and arc toward the salamander, striking it forcefully and dealing 18 force damage. "Lay off the panther, you cretin! Fight someone your own size, but...smaller," he quips.
Round 2 Order: Salamander Aisha, T'savi, and the Stranger <=====
Placement: T'savi and the salamander are 50 feet away from Aisha. The stranger is 30 feet further away, to the side.
Tracking: T'savi is unconscious and dying.
The salamander is lightly wounded.
Aisha has fired 1 arrow.

Your ray of frost strikes the wounded lizardfolk in the back of the head, dropping him dead at the feet of the others, who charge toward you (dash). Behind them, another three lizardfolk step out from behind the wall of the dam. Unlike the rest, one of them wields neither weapon nor shield.
As you take in the view of the settlement below, you do not see any fleeing. You do see fighting, and not the fighting you'd expect: A salamander is charging at a dozen lizardfolk, gathered near the stone altar at the base of the plateau.
Round 3 Order: Abraxas <===== Lizardfolk
Placement: Two lizardfolk are 30 feet away. Three lizardfolk are 85 feet away.
Aisha curses that she hadn't pulled the missile back hard enough. The tip just barely plunging into the creatures hide. Tsavi pouncing it effectively, only to be moments later struck down. Aisha's eyes go wide at the sight of her friend falling so easily. Her feline pupils slitting to near nothingness, as for the first time since she had come to this world, true rage filled her. And in her rage she was terrifying, and beautiful at the same time. Every corner of her face seemed more angular. Her sharp fangs exposed as her lips pulled back, her brows pointed inwardly, and the salamander could see her eyes lock with his own. The glint of twin arrowheads shining as the archer took her aim just behind the deadly tip.
Aisha had knocked two at once. A feat she rarely attempted but as rage overtook her She wasn't nearly as calm or collected as she usually would be. A feral growl through gritted teeth would likely go unheard by it. As Aisha's bow rang out, twin arrows flew at the creature.
Attack: 22 Damage: 10 - - - Attack: 23 Damage: 11
And as the arrows sail, Aisha's entire body glows with emerald energy, the effect fueled by her rage like verdant fire. Directly on Tsavi's body, the form of an enraged sprite appears, it makes a defensive pose over Tsavi's body, like someone attempting to shield someone from blows. As it does, the Healing Spirit closes the spear wound, healing Tsavi 5.
Tsavi awakens, spurred back to consciousness by the life energy flowing into her.
If the male 'tabaxi' could still feel anything through the mind link, he would be seeing white static through the link to match Aisha's fury.
(OOC - If allowed, Tsavi will take the Dodge action as per BM ruling via no 'command given' otherwise proceed as normal)
Breakdown - Attack + extra attack. BA Healing Spirit on Tsavi.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Abraxas cast Ice Knife as a third level spell at the right half of the closer pair of lizardfolk, hoping they are within 5 feet of each other: 14 for 9 piercing damage. If either fails a Dex save (DC 15), they take 19 damage. He moves back another 30 feet.
Things are not going according to plan, he thinks. Is bursting the dam still a good idea? Colleagues and innocents in the town. The potential for complications right in front of him. One of the farther three lizardfolk has no obvious weapon or shield. Wonder if it knows the Weave? Was Olive watching out for him or one of the others? What was the plan anyway?
OOC: Jove is waiting for Harmony's lead to act on anything, since he is "unconscious". In the meantime, is Caiphon able to see any of the other's encounters from his height, and, more importantly, can he see any way Jove could assist? Perhaps even as simple as delivering a nice message AKA bardic inspiration.
(OCC: Is the one lizardfolk that she charmed with Enthralling Performance still there or did they scatter as well?)
Harmony was hiding her disgust and horror at the dead lizardfolk now at her feet thanks to the Salamander, glad that her command had worked. Now the Salamander was charging at the lizardfolk who got weapons and formed a defensive line, having heard him. "Yes, it must be so. Sacrifice them for Lord Zuzeca. Kill." she commanded the Salamander, pointing to that group of lizardfolk before moving to look over at the other scattering lizardfolk. "What a shame. Just accept your fates, you unworthy followers!" Harmony would call out, remembering Jove's plan as she then casts Darkness in an area affecting the most lizardfolk possible. 'Okay, Jove. Got the Darkness up, get them!' she would telepathically say back to him, giving his dagger back by dropping it into his hand behind her back.
Bonus Action: Mantle of Majesty - Command: Kill to the Salamander regarding the lizardfolk with weapons in a defensive line
Action: Darkness aiming to affect/engulf the most lizardfolk possible that had scattered
Jove blinks back awake and laughs maniacally. He chants some primal magics and his entire left arm engulfs in shadow, bonus action to cast shadow blade (3rd level). He says "Caiphon! Get down here and guide her away from the danger when it comes!"
He jumps into the darkness and stabs at the first hostile lizardfolk in the darkness. 25 damage 16 psychic damage. He then uses any remaining movement to back up, out of the lizardfolk's swipe range. (The lizardfolk wouldn't get opportunity attack, as it cannot see me in the darkness (unless it can, lol.))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Olive - Yes, in #920 I mentioned that Olive could see it. She's on the plateau about 300 feet from the dam.
Jove - It will take a round for Jove to reach the nearest lizardfolk, so I'll resolve that roll in the next post.

T'savi stirs, shaking her fur as she accepts the magic of the healing spirit.

One of the farther three lizardfolk has no obvious weapon or shield. Wonder if it knows the Weave? Was Olive watching out for him or one of the others? What was the plan anyway?
Life is an adventure, he thinks, and that's okay.
Death on the Water and Baldur's Gate Bodyguard

OOC: Is Olive aware of what's going on with Abraxas?

OOC: Olive - Yes, in #920 I mentioned that Olive could see it. She's on the plateau about 300 feet from the dam.
Jove - It will take a round for Jove to reach the nearest lizardfolk, so I'll resolve that roll in the next post.

Salamander WIS Save: 8
"Enough, beast! Flee!" The stranger shouts, and the salamander reels and hisses toward him, before surprisingly following his command and turning tail. Aisha aims true, landing two arrows into the creature's back - once again, neither seems very effective, failing to dig through the salamander's natural armor. T'savi stirs, shaking her fur as she accepts the magic of the healing spirit.
Round 3 Order:

The ice shard explodes, eviscerating one of the lizardfolk closest to you. The other continues its charge, furious and hissing as it bears down on you, only feet away.
The other lizardfolk are suddenly occupied, as the one with no weapon suddenly punches out at another, followed by two whirling kicks, each missing only by inches, before another punch slams into the target's windpipe. The pair's attention turns to this unexpected assailant.
Round 4 Order:
Abraxas <=====
Lizardfolk
Placement:
One lizardfolk is engaged in melee combat with you.
Three lizardfolk are 115 feet away.
Tracking:
The lizardfolk fighting you is lightly wounded.
One lizardfolk fighting by the dam is lightly wounded.
The weaponless lizardfolk is lightly wounded.
See my profile for all my PbP threads!
Abraxas casts Maximilian’s Earthen Grasp on the lizardfolk closest to him, so a hand of packed dirt grows up from under it. If it fails a STR save (DC15), it takes 6 damage and is restrained.
Allies? Abraxas thinks. The lizardfolk are fighting someone! Could be good news.
Death on the Water and Baldur's Gate Bodyguard
In that case, Jove will take the dodge action this round, then do the above next round. (If it isn't too much to ask, I'd like to keep my crit. lol.)

Olive will move 60 feet towards Abraxas, unless that takes her to where she can't see Harmony and Jove.
