Just letting you know Meepo, not sure what the big deal is myself...something about babies I think. It is still unclear. I know about fighting though.Talien tells Meepo.
Just letting you know Meepo, not sure what the big deal is myself...something about babies I think. It is still unclear. I know about fighting though.Talien tells Meepo.
"Babies? Babies hatch from eggs not breast. Meepo came from egg. Mother said Meepo was small egg though," Meepo says as he looks at his feet. "But Meepo big now! Meepo learn fighting like Talien!"
Talien, stands there for a moment, eyes still red. He waits a few moments, not moving or saying anything. Then very slowly draws his sword. You hear the metal scraping across the scabbard strapped to his back. Meanwhile he slowly turn to Alten and says, I thought you were a friend. Meepo says that babies come from eggs. I am going to find the dishonest and end them. Tell me Alten, where do the babies come from? He begins to slowly walk toward Alten. Have you been playing me for a fool this whole time? Or is Meepo a dishonest person that I need to dispose of? He points the tip of his sword in Meepo's direction. I don't think it is Meepo, I have been teaching him, he seems to be lost to things like me. He points his sword back at Alten and the others, But you have all chose to tell me that they don't come from eggs. I have seen the birds have eggs. There was a lizard that had an egg too. He readies himself to fight Alten.
Oh for Torm's sake. Quit being a drama queen. Nobody has lied to you. Different creatures have babies in different ways. Lizards and Kobolds and birds lay eggs and they hatch when the baby has matured. Humanoids usually keep the baby inside until it matures and is ready to be born. Many mammals do that.
I also told you that this was neither the time nor the place to discuss biology. We're inside hostile territory. Focus on what we're here to do and we can have this conversation later, once we are out of the Citadel and in a safe location .
I turn my back on him and walk down the hall past the cells.
Grom will just stand there and stare at Talien... "Really... you wanna jump to conclusions now like this..." come on big guy let's do this.. you do know how to write correct? I will give him some paper and a quil and ink. Any and all questions u come up with write them down, and at a future time u can ask us a few and we will answer them then.
“Meepo, Perhaps you should walk with me,” Arxius says, summoning him to her as she studies the room.

The dust and grime make you sneeze. You're more accustomed to tracking outdoors not in this crusty old fortress. You do spot a wooden door set in the north wall though. It looks like all the other non-magical doors you've come across.
Meepo bounces over to your side and says, "Metal man funny! He taught Meepo to put bolt in crossbow! See like dis'!" Meepo says as he shows off his crossbow to you waiving it around in the air.

"Meepo like birds! Taste better than rats!" he calls over his shoulder.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rees rolls her eyes. "Talien, you're acting like a child. I told you that not everything was black and white and that different creatures have babies in different ways, like Alten said. I told you that I wasn't sure how it worked for your kind. Remember? I swear to the Traveller, just when it seems like this group is coming together someone gets their back up about things that don't matter right now! There are more rat men around, I know it, so everyone focus on the task at hand."
Muttering under her breath, she'll start checking around the room as well.
Survival: 6
Edit: Clearly she's too busy being crabby to notice anything LOL
Talien's eyes return to blue, We will talk about this later then Alten. I find it odd that babies come from different locations. One is an egg, one is a 'womb' as you call it.
Meepo bounces over to your side and says, "Metal man funny! He taught Meepo to put bolt in crossbow! See like dis'!" Meepo says as he shows off his crossbow to you waiving it around in the air.
Meepo, be safe with the crossbow. Remember only point it at the enemies.

“Woah,” Arxius says, placing her hands on the crossbow and pointing it in a non lethal direction. “I understand your excitement but it is best not to flail weapons around.”
Arxius, maybe next time you can help teach Meepo too. I think he needs some more training from people of this realm. My kind does not flail weapons around like this. (after just flailing his sword about) But you can tell what he means and that he means well as far as the safety of the party.

perception on the door 19
“Sooorrrry!” Meepo squeaks.
The door doesn’t appear to be trapped. It’s wooden and with a iron handle. You assume it opens outwards into the next room as you can’t see the hinges.
EDIT:
Caltrop Hall
You notice that the door is marred with scratches about halfway down near the iron handle. It does not appear to be trapped from your side, but tt looks odd and you’re not quite sure what to make of it, so you proceed with the utmost caution. You open the door ever so slightly, so that you can peak in and see that a bell has been attached to the other side of the door opposite the scratch marks. If you had opened the door normally (instead of slowly) it would have undoubtedly struck the bell causing it to ring loudly.
Through the crack in the door you can see the room is dimly lit from some sort of fire at the far side of the room. You can see the light and smoke, but the fire itself is obscured by a makeshift roughly mortared, three-foot-high wall, complete with crenellations. You also notice the floor is littered with caltrops. You listen carefully and hear voices, but do not know how many there is as the language is foreign to you.
[Anyone else want to try and do the survival check on the room?]
"It is alright," Arxius crouches beside him and draws her bow. "When I am not aiming but need to stay prepared, I will hold it down and to the side. So the arrow does not face anyone. If I let go accidentally, it will shoot at the floor. Even if your arrow bounces - as it is sturdier than mine - it will do significantly less damage. All weapons hurt, you must keep that in mind. If you draw your weapon be wary not to hurt your fellow travellers."

It is not bad down here, once we kill everything it will be better as we won't have to watch our backs any longer. Talien replies

You may be right. But maybe, just maybe, we might become an effective unit. . . Or we might have to try knocking some sense into somebody.
