"Should probably look first and make sure no one has put a booby trap in there or anything."

Isn't that one of the big lines in your job description Rees?
"I mean, that's why I was offering."She'll go check for any traps potentially left in the rubble.
Investigation (?) 3
EDIT: "All clear! No traps. Totally safe."
Doesn’t look like there’s any traps! Still some rubble left, but you clear it after a few more minutes revealing the door behind. With your passive perception you hear bickering voices behind the door...
”Eekk... eeek.. sounds like theys mooved rockses... boss get mad if wees don’t slow dem down!”
Anyone think it might be worth seeing if we can get one or two of our captive goblins to try to talk them into surrendering instead of getting killed? If one or two of them will tell these clowns that we'll let them go after we deal with their boss, then maybe we don't have to expend our energy killing them.

"The only way we make that work, I think, is if we let them all leave now. Which, honestly, I'm alright with. I almost let the goblins go last night, but after Calcryx I didn't think anyone would appreciate me making those kinds of decisions on my own. I don't like having them captive, though, and I can feel Arxius' disappointment in me from here, even though she went back to town."
If so, maybe that goblin can convince whoever is on the other side to go as well. What if we get the one goblin out and tell him that if he can convince the others to stand down, then they can go if they can leave an opposite way of where we're going.

I think it best to try to avoid fights when possible. I am only concerned about fighting the one with the wand and all of these goblins at the same time. Let's go Shake. We will bring two captives back. We can offer to release or and be peaceful, or kill the two we bring back if they will not cooperate. We can't have more enemies at our back and we have a time frame to keep. Talien begins to walk back to the makeshift cell of goblin captives without another word.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shake follows Talien, admiring his fine construction from behind. When he gets to the goblin captives Shake explains their situation and concludes, "So, in summation, either you help us make peace with the goblins on the other side of the door so that we may proceed on our quest or we will kill the lot of you and any of your kin we can find. We would much rather have this done peacefully, but we have to do what we have to do."

"Yes, I do believe them. I don't think they want to be here any more than we do."

The goblin's node their heads and all try to talk at once, but merely make muffled noises through their gags. (Assuming someone removes a gag, likely from the goblin Rees spoke to last night?)
"Wees will help.. I speak to goblin on other side of door... you let rest of family go? ...We only workers.. not warriors... no know how fight... only want live!"
OK. If you can convince the goblins on the other side to stand down and leave us be, you are free to leave, going out through the upper level or the tunnels, assuming they lead out. Anyone who attacks us or sides with the boss will die.
Do we have a deal?

Talien begins to move to the rubble to clear it, but upon hearing 'trap' he freezes mid stride and waits for someone to check it out.

I assume it sounds like more goblins?

You hear another raspy shrill voice (likely another goblin) above the rest,“Shut up, shut up! No hears rocks moving anymore! Get readyz, get readyz!”
Alten gives Rees a look.

Also blunt, I like it.

Ooc: I find the direct approach to be most persuasive. Shake is pretty deceptive too though, when necessary.
