Shake steps forward, "I am merely a humble bard, but as such I am a studied and learned man." His gaze wanders as he peers into an invisible horizon and oration takes on a more formal, more grandiose style. "In learning and studying about this land and its rich and diverse history I have studied and learned many engineering techniques. Who can forget the structures built when the elves of the Riildath discovered the horrors of Narathmault and resolved to clear the forest of all N'Tel'Quess. Or when the ancient Elven Court, the Seldarine priesthoods, and the long-hidden High Mages restored pockets of resistance and freedom across the entire Vyshantaar Empire through the use of their subtle devices. And also the mythical dwarven devices used against the drow of Telantiwar at Bhaerynden. I mean the dwarves lost that one, but some of their creations were supposed to have been really amazing, with lots of cogs and springs and screws and... So yes, as a simple bard, I have learned and studied some things that may help."
Talien walks around the dragon statue and checks behind it. If there is no hammer he will sit next to the statue and tell Alten No hammer. We have tried now. Let's leave. Perhaps this statue holds something useful. Talien tries to pick up/move the statue.
As you approach the dragon statue... you suddenly hear it growl a riddle in common out of its lifeless marble jaws...
You may also roll an investigation check, or arcana if you'd like, but you are unable to lift the statue up as it weighs too much even for you..
While Shake is rambling, Rees will move to the trap to inspect it, silently rolling her eyes.
(Not entirely sure what to roll, but I'm guessing investigation? which is 10 )
[Edited because Shake and I posted at the same time :) ]
You can easily see there's a pressure plate in the floor from variations in the mortar and stone around it, compared to the surrounding stone. Wedging an iron spike or some other similarly sized and sturdy object under the pressure plate may prevent it from activating.

Arcana Check: 21
I have Grom in the room with the dragon door per your post here. He can absolutley move into the room and make the check, however you would have to walk through the trapped hallway and interfere with what Alten/Rees/Shake are doing to solve the trap atm.
Alten is not the smartest guy. Does he know the answer? INT 15
I would say you can hear the riddle from where you are in the hallway, but for riddles if you want to roll, I'm just going to give hints. So, for this one.. think about something in the sky.
Before Talien can respond you hear a loud grinding noise as a secret door in the western wall opens revealing a hidden room...
10. Honor Guard
Dust cloaks the contents of this twenty-foot-wide hall. Six alcoves line the walls, three to the north and three to the south. Each alcove except the southwest one holds a humanoid figure carved of red-veined white marble. The figures resemble tall elves in plate armor. A stone archway at the west end of the hall opens into a wide room from which greenish light glows. A dark pit is situated before the archway. When you look into the pit you can see it is about 10 wide and another 10 feet deep. Its bottom is filled with large wicked spikes. The walls of the pit look rough and you may be able to use them as handholds... if you dare.

Rees will take a piton from her bag and wedge it under the plate to disarm the trap. "Everyone...duck I'm gonna push on this thing and see if it fires or if that worked. So, you know, watch for arrows and don't say I didn't warn ya."

As you push down on the plate to set the piton the arrow trap fires again... Attack: 18 Damage: 4
Edit: The arrow flies overhead (good thing you all ducked!)
Looks like the trap is jammed... you should be safe to cross!

Did Grom go through the trapped hallway with Talien or is he with Alten waiting on someone to verify the trap is disabled?

"Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth." A Camus
I play riddles a bit metagamey.. I would say yes since you (Scott) know it and Alten rolled the 15.
Alten calls out to Talien
The answer is "stars" Talien.
"Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth." A Camus

Does Rees believe she has disabled the trap with her actions (roll of 10 on post number 5336)?

She just investigated the trap which I responded to in post 5339. She hasn't taken action yet. (She might not have seen the post yet.)
