The gods and fate and our skills did allow us to destroy the tree and the caster that spawned the stick monsters.
I'm glad we got it done before they were able to cause harm.
"Aye.. you and the whole town! ..You're welcome to rooms at the Inn tonight free of charge.. free meal and first round of drinks are on the Inn as well! Recommend checking out the festivities though.. we work hard around here.. naturally we know how to throw a party!"
Many thanks Garon. I'll happily check out the festivities AFTER a bath and food.
Alten starts towards the inn.
As you enter the Inn you find it empty save for the familiar face of your patron Carlisle Bozak and his two goliath body guards Vim and Vau drinking in a corner booth...
Bozak acknowledges you politely returning the nod, but appears to wait on your approach. Garon slips back inside and behind the bar to give out keys, "Sorry, but you'll have to pair up.. we've only got four rooms and between your party and your friend over there will be occupying them all! Bathrooms up there as well.. its communal, so try not to spend to much time in there! I'll put some water on now though."
Alten reaches out, takes the first key offered, and heads up.
When he gets up to the room, he drops all his gear on the bed and starts the laborious process of de-armoring. Once he gets out of it, he will take a towel and head for a hot soak.

By the time you get your armor off the bath is full of hot water. Feels nice after a long few days in the dark must and grime of the Sunless Citadel.
Spend long enough to get wrinkled and the water cools off. After that, go back to the room to get dressed. Do I have a roommate yet (curious who drew the short straw)?
The intent is to just wear normal clothes instead of full gear since there is a festival and we're not working (but I do stick the dagger in a sheath on my belt and secure my money pouch). But that would only be if I believe it is safe to leave stuff in the locked room and also based on our previous experiences in the town OR I know of some other way to secure my stuff (maybe Corkie or the Constable Felosial can secure it?)?
"Did somebody say party?" Shake's eyes light up and he pulls out his pipes and plays a (tune?). Then he sings a very played out party song in common:
We like to party We like, we like to party We like to party We like, we like to party We like to party We like, we like to party We like to party

"Arxius and I can share a room," Rees says, taking a key. "Festivities...it's like a celebration, Talien, I don't know what the actual definition is but basically a festive party." Knowing Alten wanted a bath first, Rees will get some food and then take a MUCH shorter bath so that the others can also clean up. (No idea how many baths there are, but probably not many lol)

Alten grew up in a quasi-military, war god's monastery. Communal baths were common and barracks life doesn't lend itself to modesty. I just envisioned there would be multiple baths in an inn, even if they were in the same room. If there was only one tub, then I amend the earlier description and Alten would take a quick, functional field scrub.

Small town, safe feel. Wouldn't be practical for either NPC to store it though as you have no idea where they are at right now. Your room has a lock on it though.

Just one communal bath... again small town, haha. Garon servers up some cold chicken, greens, and bread, "Sorry don't have anything hot tonight.. wasn't planning on serving tonight as they festival's on."
Talien returns inside and returns the bucket. He then tells the group I am going to report my failure to the blacksmith. He then walks out the doors again, this time hopefully not stinking.

Alten nods but otherwise ignores him unless he speaks and heads for whoever is manning the bar to get his room and get cleaned up.

Bozak clears his throat as you all... ignore him and begin eating and doing your own thing.
Talien leaves the coins and takes his bucket 'out back's and washes himself.
