Arxius scrutinizes the fountain and notices a mostly worn-away inscription in the same writing you spotted back at the ravine and again in the room with the cage where you found Meepo sulking.
With a thoughtful expression Arxius says, "Hmmm.. here's this strange writing again... Meepo.. can you read these strange glyphs?"
Meepo hops over to Arxius, bends down to get a better look at the runes, and says out loud, "Oh is draconic... Meepo can read some... fountain letters says... Let there be fire!"
As soon as Meepo speaks the words the fountain erupts with life once more. Reddish liquid begins to well from the diving dragon’s mouth and slowly accumulates in the basin.
Rees, you want to check the door to see if it locked or trapped?
{I also wanted to take a look and listen down the hallway at the northern end of the room. You said it just opened up? No door or anything?}
From your vantage point it looks like the room you are in opens up to a 10’ wide hallway. There is no door, just an opening. The hallway goes back 80’ which is further than your darkvision. Do you want to walk into the hallway to see what’s back there? If so how far do you walk?
(Talien will not be inspecting in the darkness) He grabs a torch from his pack with one hand then draws his sword with the other, and asks Grom, If a fight breaks out in this darkness, can you light this torch for me?
I would have to touch it to cast light on the torch.. or the fun way is to try and light it with a fire bolt....
Meepo stares at the fountain in awe and exclaims, “Magics!”
Arxius says, “Uhhhmm.. Grom do you want to take a look at this fountain, maybe?”
Grom will walk over and inspect the dragon fountain
Perception: 16
The reddish liquid stops flowing from the dragon’s mouth as the basin fills nearly to the top. When the ripples stop you can see the liquid is now the color of rust. The liquid is not boiling, but seems to flicker, and tiny tendrils of smoke rise from the surface.
[Damn, Fen, can you just do all my rolls from now on?]
"Do you know anything about this Meepo?" Arxius asks as she crouches beside the fountain to get a better look at the liquid.
[Is there anything I can do here to test it?]
“Meepo never seen this before. Meepo drink it? Meepo thirsty.” With that Meepo cups his hands and scoops some of the rusty colored liquid into his hands. He sniffs at it then remarks, “Smell like rotten eggs.” Meepo shrugs, then slurps the liquid from his hands. You watch as some of it trickles out of the corners of his mouth.
Meepo waits a moment, then says, “Nothing happen. Friends thirsty? Drink? Is safe.” Just as Meepo is saying this you watch as his eyes suddenly widen and nearly bulge out of his head. His throat muscles flex and he grips his stomach and chest. He groans and says, “Uto! Meepo no feel good!” Then backs away from the fountain and bends over clutching his stomach.
Suddenly he stands upright again and lets out an enormous belch that is accompanied by a large stream of red and orange flames. The fire continues to leave Meepo’s mouth for a few seconds before fizzling out and giving way to a smaller stream of smoke.
“Ahhh. Meepo feel much better now,” he says as he rubs his pats his stomach in satisfaction.
Talien, Why do you have a waterskin? Earlier you said you don't eat or drink. Can you ingest a potion and be affected by it or can you physically not take anything inside your body?
Talien, Why do you have a waterskin? Earlier you said you don't eat or drink. Can you ingest a potion and be affected by it or can you physically not take anything inside your body?
I can drink, that is why I have a health potion on order from the shop, but I do not have the need to drink normally. I keep a water skin in the case I need water for something, like to rinse off the mud the other day when I was buried alive, or even a container to hold something else. It is also useful to rinse off stinking remains of enemies like the barbarians I fought before. I do not wish to stink Alten, an enemy could smell me if I was waiting around a corner for them to leave if I did, and the remains of living creatures in this realm tend to stink I have found out first hand. Talien responds, Heedless of Grom's warning, Talien takes a small sip. (I wonder what happens next)

The rust colored liquid trickles down your throat tingling slightly as it goes down. Nothing happens for a long moment, just as you are about to declare that the stuff has no effect on you, you suddenly feel your chest heat up and the liquid flows back up your throat. You open your mouth to rid yourself of the liquid, but it instead exits your mouth as a small stream of fire.
Talien will empty a water skin (offering to top anyone's water skin off that needs it) and fill it full of the liquid.
After filling the water skin it looks like half of the liquid from the basin is gone, leaving another half behind.
DM Note: You can fill one more flask, or water skin up. After drinking the liquid you discover it is a Potion of Fire Breath. I will allow you to quaff it as a bonus action during combat. You must drink the entire water skin to receive the effects (i.e. you have enough in one skin for a one time use).
"I'll help you Meepo." Arxius says as she inspects the fountain.

"Sure, I can take a look," she agrees, moving to the door but keeping an eye on the fountain as she goes by.

Coming over after checking out the northern wall, Alten sees Meepo belch fire.
That's something you don't see every day. Anybody got anything to store the rest of that liquid in?
