Amnesty nods in thought. "It is my understanding that this Cheresk killed a few people yes? And you are the one in charge of said beast. What is your explanation of the lives taken by said beast? Why weren't there any precautions to prevent such casualties?" Amnesty looks at Klaus for an explanation, her expression slightly challenging but not to the point of being condescending.

Perception 8 (if he can hear the commotion upstairs)

"Lord Saborin? Your eyes appear to have gone a little strange man! Are you quite alright?" Delanra clicks her fingers in front of the man's face to draw his attention back to her, "Why would you be looking to re-instate Cheresks? Where is the ban that you want to lift being upheld?"

((Does Delanra know anything about Cheresks. what they are, why they are banned etc?))

And Fionn, no, you cannot hear this commotion.

Klaus frowns. "This man agreed to have it placed on public grounds, and he did not take action to protect it. The deaths were the fault of the adventurers themselves...they aroused it."

Fionn takes out a coin and starts flipping it,  looks up  "Aye Mistress"   then back at Ikor,   "The Lady says if ye have no other information, we can leave your um Fate to chance

Amnesty looks back at Klaus. "Are you not in charge of this beast? Should you have not also had a role in protecting it? Keeping it from harming itself or others?" She looks between Klaus and the Mayor. "You also have to consider that the mayor's decisions are not always by choice. Due to the recent deaths, I assume townspeople are wanting the beast removed for their own safety. It is, by law, the job of the mayor to serve his townspeople wishes as long as they are in best interest to the majority."

And you can't recall anything, Delanra.

Ikor shrugs. "Maybe my fate isn't the one you should be worried about."

The Mayor nods. "That's essentially what I've kept telling him."

Klaus smiles, but in a way that seems like hysterical madness rather than happiness. He shakes his head, a few laughs escaping his lips. "Well, you've clearly picked your side. And I don't need to convince the Mayor. Not necessarily. He has five advisers. If a unanimous vote is taken by the advisers, the mayor doesn't get a say. And as for you," Klaus glares at Amnesty. "You won't be receiving my aid anytime soon." He strums a low note on the banjo, and turns, the note echoing throughout the room. Suddenly, a gust of wind sweeps through, and all the candles and lighting turn off. When they flicker back on, Klaus has left.

Amnesty crosses her arms with a hum of thought before looking at the mayor. "I think you may want to look into your advisors. Something does not seem right about Klaus and his efforts. I have a feeling there's some trickery there. He's clearly passionate about his beast. Maybe come to an agreement?"

"Saborin, are you alright?" Delanra queries the purple eyed man, as she uses the words to let loose Prestidigitation, creating a puff of air in the man's face and watching his face intently as he reacts.

Fionn casts Thaumaturgy to make it seem like whispers are coming from behind Ikor
