As the Hunding follows Flaskgrip to the Sandy Saloon, he notices that from the outside it looks dark, dirty and miserable. Eroded sandstone make up most of the building's outer structure. It's tough to see through the stained glass windows, but the lethargy from within can be felt outside. As you enter the tavern through the dirty, metal door, you're welcomed by a layer of smoke hanging below the ceiling and a few groans. The bartender is pouring a drink for a customer and makes no effort to acknowledge your presence. It's as disgusting inside as it is on the outside. Rounded, wooden beams support the upper floor and the broken fans attached to them. The walls are covered in cobwebs and any decoration that does hang there is now unrecognizable. The tavern itself is almost completely abandoned. The few people inside could be anybody really, but whoever they are, you'd like to stay as far away from them as possible.
The barmaid walks over to Hunding and says "What can I do fer ya?" Hunding asks for two ales and she says "Ah 8 cp then." Hunding hands over the money and heads back to Flaskgrip.
Flaskgrip grabs the ale and takes a huge gulp and says "Alright, get talkin'"
Here is the weapon that I spoke of (Discretely, present ask so the other patrons cannot see). These two gems (discreetly show the gems) look like they can be affixed to the sockets as well. Are you skilled enough to repair this weapon blacksmith or has your love of ale dulled your senses?
"Ah a bit of smartass are we? And for that---" Flaskgrip grabs his mug and finishes his drink "--- you owin' me 'nother drink" *hicc* "Let me see that blade while you be gone."
"15 gp and 2 days and I can fix her up and you want them pretty gems in it eh? Let me see them too now." Flaskgrip takes another gulp of his ale while you pulls the gems out. Ask you hand them to him, Flaskgrip eyes suddenly narrow. "Where did ye get these?"
"If these are what I think they are, they aren't just ornamental. These look like ancient gems from the ancient desert kingdom of Gargada. If I weren't mistaken, I say you been grave robbin'. Not like it matters much to me. I just be warnin' ya in the future. I knew a paladin and a warlock once that went grave robbin' south of here a few years ago and they never returned. Good friends too, always thirsty." Flaskgrip takes another large gulp.
Interesting...so say by chance that I did stumble across these in an old ruin what are these gems and more importantly are you capable of repairing it?
"The kingdom of Gargada enchanted gemstones with ancient magics and added them to the weapons for their best warriors to help bolster their potency. Unfortunately, in order to channel them correctly that must be positioned perfectly. I can't help ya with dem but I know someone who might. Would you like me to do the axe though? I still stand at 15 gp."
I would love to have the basic axe be functional. However, I am a bit short on coin as of late. By chance could I offer you my services as a warrior in payment?
"Ah, I knew there had to be something fishy about this." Flaskgrip finishes his ale. "I would love to think of something but my I'm a bit too thirsty to think."
With a roll of the eyes Hunding buys another round at the bar and then returns to Flaskgrip. He places the drink in front of him and then motions him to continue
"There is a nice bottle of wine, aged from the coastal grapes of Eastalia, that was supposed to be delivered to me last week. The merchant said that my order was "lost" but I know the wiser. A fellow bar patron told me he purchased one the other day from him for a whopping 25 gp! I already paid him 20gp, so I want my wine. Retrieve it for me. He should be on the eastern side of town at the Wild' West Winery. Do this and I'll get yer ax done."
I agree to those terms. Let's head to this "Sandy Saloon" and discuss our business.

I head in and find a discreet empty table and motion for Flaskgrip to be seated. I head to the bar and purchase two ales and return to the table.
Here is your drink. Now let us discuss our business.
OOC: please subtract 8cp from you character sheet

Fair enough (goes and buys another drink and returns to the table). So what can you do for me?
"15 gp and 2 days and I can fix her up and you want them pretty gems in it eh? Let me see them too now." Flaskgrip takes another gulp of his ale while you pulls the gems out. Ask you hand them to him, Flaskgrip eyes suddenly narrow. "Where did ye get these?"
Same place I found the axe. I assumed they were just ornamental.

You shall have your wine by the end of the day. Where can I find you once I have it?
"I'll be here or you can find me in the mornin' at my shop."
Hunding travels to the winery and scouts the location.

It seems like a nice winery. There are a fair amount of patrons that come and go. All seem to be well dressed.
