"Volo can you show me the deed itself? I'd like to take a look at your handiwork, and also whose names you have down on it! And can you introduce us to someone in the guild who could help with renovations, maybe at a discount?"
She also goes to find Renaer and asks him about the rumors about the stone, the reason he was targeted in the first place. She also asks him about Trollskull Manor, and if he thinks it's a good idea to take it over, and if there's anyone he knows who has the resources or skills to redo a run-down haunted tavern.
Hearing Ripi's question, she answers, "I think I was just saying to our dwarven brewer friend over here, my name's Soar! What's your story?"

"A hag eating children! That would surely be traumatic experience so it won't be surprising if their soul haunt the place. We should probably get holy water to put all those kids torest" Erik say when hearing about that. "Hello all newcomers. I'm Erik."

Volo shows Soar the deed; the deed has been notarized and appears legitimate. (It in fact is.) "As a practitioner of the arcane arts I am a member of the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors, but don't think they would be much assistance in renovating the place; maybe if you need magic wards placed. I'm also a member of the guild of Scrivners, Scribes and Clerks if you need help with bookkeeping..."
Renaer knows nothing about the stone, he is as eager to learn more as you are. "I could probably call in a favor or two with some of the guilds if needed; it would be the least I could do as thanks for your rescue of Floon and myself."
Speaking of guilds, Waterdeep has a lot of them; here is a list of the more prominent guilds you may have heard of:

Soar blinks with the same fixed smile. "I see it's a perfectly legitimate deed, Volo. The question is to whom the deed is passing, according to the law, so I was looking for my name! I'm sure it's here somewhere."
She also asks Renaer if he wanted to express his gratitude for being rescued by investing in a new tavern. Lots of smiling, lots of eyelash fluttering.
Volo blushes. "Yes, of course, you will be one of the owners; your names, or that of your company if you choose to make this a corporate enterprise, will be added to the deed when we meet with the magistrate to officiate the transaction; I just figured you and your friends wanted to see the place first."
Renaer laughs at Soar's suggestion and says "I think you'd better check out the place first, don't count your dragons before they've hatched!" That said, if the venture looks worthwhile, he says he will be more than willing to consider it.
He and Floon have been devising a little reward for the party, regardless; "A mere token of our appreciation", Floon says. (All players add 25 gold to your wealth.)
At last it is the appointed time for the party to gather at the Yawning Portal and head out to see Trollskull Manor.
As per Volo's instructions, you follow the High Road north to the North Ward, turn onto Saerdoun Street and find yourselves at the intersection with Trollskull Alley, where on the corner is a dilapidated old structure about four stories tall: Trollskull Manor.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Soar looks around the intersection, trying to find someone who looks comfortable there, a real local. She says, "Hi there! Could I trouble you with a question? Does anyone live there? Anything you can tell me about it?"
