“Yes, he said it was weeks. And paper wouldn’t last out in the elements for years.”She thinks. “We could try asking the twig blights after all, though I don’t know how to entice them.” To Abner, she says “Let’s finish examining the ground floor first before we go upstairs.” Therne will continue back in the other direction to complete going around the house clockwise, starting to the left of the entry.
[OoC]: Since UnsungNero has posted two different actions, I'm going to assume he changed his mind and take the most recent as his choice.
Brozak pushes open the door to the left of the entry hall with his hammer into what appears to have once been a small drawing room. Thought it's now hard to ascertain its true purpose, due to the extensive damage from fallen debris. A shattered drinks cabinet rests precariously against the back wall, with one door hanging ajar. Amidst the pile of rubble on the floor, Brozak spots a dusty basket-hilt protruding from beneath a pile of bricks - apparently having fallen from its empty mount on the wall above.
I think I am the only swordsman. Red wants to take a quick look at the sword hilt sticking out of the rubble. If it can be moved without extensive digging he'll draw it out and investigate; if it is well buried he'll trust that it won't be used against us and come back once we check all the rooms for danger. Red's tail is getting twitchy - expecting to be attacked, wondering why we have not been yet, and (after being knocked down yesterday) a little afraid. Starting to sing nervously, quietly ...been caught stealing, once, when I was five...
Investigation8
Therne caught his attention, so switches song to I'm gonna ramble on, sing my song. Gonna work my way, going round the world..Bardic Inspiration for Therne: adds 1d6 to an attack save or check in the next 10 minutes (you may decide to use it after rolling but before you learn the result)
Red steps into the room nervously and grasps the hilt, sliding it free from the rubble. The weapon is a basket-hilt rapier of exquisite design, likely having belonged to the lord of the manor. As the tiefling takes a piece of cloth to wipe the length of the blade clean, his breath catches. Scouring away the dirt furiously, he realises that the blade is indeed made of pure silver.

Well here is an item to return to Lord Redmane or his heirs. But until then - if fate is playing here...you don't find a silver sword without soon having a need for one, not in most tales anyway. I could see a case where maybe Brother Brozak would need a silver weapon, while the rest of us attack with magic. Is a rapier within your idiom, Brother?
After our Lady finishes her search, the opening opposite into the ballroom, is it? So as to be antiwiddershinsward bound?
This place is giving me an uneasiness. ...And the less I seek my source for some definitive,Closer I am to fine...

Therne doesn't find anything in this room, her detect magic aura is no longer picking anything up this far along the manor. She does however hear a light scratching noise coming from the upper floor.
Abner enters the room and starts rifling through the rubble. He doesn't find anything worthy of note, except for a handful of papers that appear to be from the same sorrowful journal as those that Therne found.
Abner:
16 Kythorn
I shall soon be home. I yearn to be with my dear Clarice and hold her in my arms once more. Long have I enjoyed the freedom of the open road, but the pleasure is diminished by her absence from my side.
15 Flamerule
The mirror, that accursed mirror! It has ensorcelled my dear Clarice. She does not talk, or eat, or even sleep. Though it pained me to do so, I have resorted to locking her in our bedroom, while securing the mirror in the cellar. Tomorrow I set out for Neverwinter. Sune willing, I shall return with aid for my dear Clarice, before all hope is lost.
28 Flamerule
The servants are gone. One by one, the nightmare that grips this house has taken them into death's cold embrace. They urged me to destroy the mirror, but I dared not lose whatever may still be left of my beloved Clarice. I pray that they forgive me, for abandoning them to their fate. I am unworthy of the loyalty they showed me. May Sune care for them in death, as they cared for me in life.
As Adri looks back out into the clearing, she fails to hear the scratching sound coming from the beams above her. Suddenly she hears a loud SQUAWK and feels the weight of a creature crash into her shoulders, clasping onto her with its talons. In the confusion, Adri spins to throw the creature off whilst her vision is blurred by the frantic flapping of leathery bat-like wings. She feels her attacker clamp its beak around her shoulder in a vicious bite. As she turns the creature spins off into the entry hall in a cloud of ash before righting itself. The monstrosity is as big as a hound, with crinkled wings and the face of a demented rooster.
Cockatrice Bite Attack: 14 Damage: 4
Adri Constitution Saving Throw: 13
After Adri manages to toss the creature from her shoulders, she feels a strange sensation wash over her. Looking down, she sees that her feet and lower legs are turning grey. Confusion turns to horror as she realises that she is beginning to turn to stone.
[OoC]: She is currently restrained and must repeat the Constitution save at the end of her next turn.

Abner, Red and Therne:
The three of you are within the drawing room where the silver rapier was found (the room left of the entrance).
Brozak and Adri:
The two of you are in the entry hall, with Adri stood in the entrance to the manor and Brozak stood in the entrance to the drawing room. The cockatrice is currently adjacent to Adri, on the opposite side of her from Brozak.
[OoC]: Ignore the manipulated results banner, I accidentally put Adri's saving throw above the initiative rolls in my edit which altered the initiative values. The order below is the real order.
Order of Initiative: Therne, Abner, Cockatrice, Adri, Brozak, Red.
[OoC]: To speed things up, I don't mind too much which order cbaer8 and pocketmouse post in.
[OoC]: Which door are you leaving via? Brozak is stood in the right-most door, so you'd have to move around him. Either way, you're still able to fire - but it helps me to know placement-wise. Additionally, the cockatrice has half cover from being behind Adri.
The bolt whizzes through the room and bores a hole clean through the cockatrice's wing - causing an ear-splitting shriek to echo through the ruin.

Therne will move past Brozak into the entry hall, and Produce Flame to fling at the cockatrice. If she can move far enough into the room to reduce the cockatrice's cover she will, but not if it means she can't duck back around the corner into the hallway to get cover herself (ie, she should end up north of the room she just came out of).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The ball of flame just skims the creature's back, barely singing its disgusting mix of fur and feathers.
The cockatrice flaps violently, straight towards Brozak's face. It flies similarly to how an angered chicken might, waving its wings madly with talons out front. It lands on the dragonborn's chest and bites at his face before kicking off and landing in front of him.
Cockatrice Bite Attack: Attack: 4 Damage: 4
Brozak Constitution Saving Throw: 5
Order of Initiative: Therne, Abner, Cockatrice, Adri, Brozak, Red.
[OoC]: Adri, don't forget that you are restrained and that you must make a Constitution saving throw at the end of your turn.
Adri smashes her mace into the cockatrice's back, buckling it and sending it skidding across the floor. It soon climbs back to its feet and hisses at the few of you in the entry hall.
You all proceed to watch in horror as Adri soon freezes in place in a pose of shock, her skin texture marbling into a blocky, stony surface as she becomes petrified.
