Tashana focuses, and the light motes begin pulsing faster and faster.
Vishal:
You see transmutation energy flowing from Caelius to Tashana, then a flare of abjuration magic from Tashana that spreads across the floating lights. Each one extinguishes as the abjuration magic reaches it.
A moment later, the motes begin going out, one by one. As the last one goes out, both Taran and Shen begin to wake up.

Taran blinks, vision swimming for a moment before snapping into focus on Mister Caelius. Taran's gaze wanders about the room for a moment before he stands, "I-I-I'm d-d-doing j-j-just f-f-fine, Mister C-Caelius. Th-Thank you f-for w-worrying about me."
Seeing Vishal treating Shen, Taran goes to start collecting the ball bearings he had tossed into the corners earlier.
Shen groans as he wakes up, rubbing the back of his head, then immediately stands and walks over to Tashana, pulling her into a tight hug.
Tashana blinks in surprise. "Ah...glad you're awake." She gives him a worried look. "Are you all right?"
Shen steps back. "Fine. Just a nightmare." He glances at the rest of you, giving a nod to Bhimaani and then looking at the six of you. "I assume you're Taran's friends, and I have you to thank for being awake and healthy?"
Vishal:
From the brief examination you got, Shen seems decently healthy, a bit dehydrated and malnourished, but not as badly as you might expect from being unconscious for days. He also has a healing bump on the whack of his head.
The rest of the day passes quietly enough, with each of you attending to your individual duties.
Then you level up.
The next morning, you all meet with Ranari, who arrived at the Haztaratain Monastery that morning, in a small conference room. Ranari nods at you all. "Well, you've gone above and beyond your simple duties. Thank you, both for bringing Khova here and making this place safe once more." She frowns faintly. "Is there anything you found out about the killer that you can tell us?"
“I can tell you that they were using this.” Vishal says holding out the ring. “It allows them to store a persons image inside of it and then they can look like them with uncanny detail. So much show that it’s even more difficult to tell it’s not them. That’s on top of them being an already manipulative Oni. On top of him being trained by Sulatesh.”
Ranari gives Taran a brief, searching look before nodding. "All right. All good to know. We'll take additional measures on the border near Kintam Ulakhun."
"Tariiq visited each of us in our dreams. In mine, he warned that others could find their way into Adar. Multiple times he referred to my son being under the protection of Nirdaya until we 'kidnapped' him."

I-I th-think th-that is a l-lie fr-from T-Tarriq's en-end, on-only in th-that th-this is t-t-too po-potentially d-dangerous, th-they w-will tr-try again."
Taran nods to Caelius, "T-Tariiq also m-made multiple m-mentions of Arthem, M-Mister C-Caelius's son, s-saying that h-he had b-been under pr-protection of Nirdaya until w-we k-kidnapped him. It s-s-seems like he th-threatened Arthem m-multiple times."
Ranari frowns faintly, eyes glittering with concern. "I see. Thank you. Regarding payment, it's been agreed that you should get some extra for your assistance here." She smiles and hands out bags that each have 500 gp.
As Taran darts into the perimeter of the glowing motes, Tashana suddenly cries, "Wait!"
The lights flare in intensity, and Taran suddenly drops to the ground, unconscious.

Taran blinks, vision swimming for a moment before snapping into focus on Mister Caelius. Taran's gaze wanders about the room for a moment before he stands, "I-I-I'm d-d-doing j-j-just f-f-fine, Mister C-Caelius. Th-Thank you f-for w-worrying about me."
