The group pushes into the storm. Vishal takes 2 more cold damage, but the fire from his chakram keeps everyone else warm enough.
Vishal, Taran, and Caelius:
You see symbols scratched deep in the stone of the cliff. Between Taran and Caelius's knowledge of thieves cant signs, and Vishal's past experience with symbols in Road communication and such, you are all able to deduce that it's a directionary symbol (it's telling people to go in a certain direction). This one seems to be directing down a side canyon where the wind is a little less intense.
Taran grins through chattering teeth, the marks confirming a path he had already been strongly considering. He pointed out the runes to the others, "Th-this s-s-seems to b-be a m-marked p-path, a-and th-the w-wind is l-lighter th-there. Sh-should b-be s-safe, b-but w-we sh-should k-keep w-weapons r-r-ready."
Then he begins making his way to the canyon, eyes out for trouble.
As you walk through the canyon, Taran finds more symbols and (as confirmed by Chaos) follows them. This route is somewhat out of the wind, but it and the cold still cut into you.
Everyone make 3 more Con STs at adv because of Vishal's fire chakram, and take a d6 of cold damage (you can roll it) for each fail. If you reach 3 fails, you gain a level of exhaustion, although I don't think it'll matter much.
After half an hour of walking, heads down, you step out of a ravine, and find yourself in normal, clear air. Behind you, the snow falls thickly in almost a straight wall, but out here, the cold is, while bone-chilling, not as intense or deadly. You have survived the manifest zone.
OOC: Great job, guys! Once you've rolled your Con STs and done anything else you'd like to, we'll progress to the next day. If all saves have been rolled and nothing is going on rp-wise, I'll assume you're ready to move on, so LET ME KNOW if you have something you'd like to do but aren't posting it with your rolls for some reason.
As they travel Vishal keeps refusing his chakram claiming that he is fine however, as they move to settle down it is obvious that he is freezing as he cannot stop shivering and his lips are turning blue.
As soon as they exit the Ravine, Taran begins looking for a shelter, noticing Vishal and the others condition, as well as his own numb body parts, they need to rest up before continuing much farther. He was grateful the runes hadn't been a trap, and that his additional training after dealing with invisible enemies had paid off in his ability to spot the subtle markings.
Luckily, once they were in a cave and resting for the night, building a fire and a structure to keep the heat in would be a simple matter.
(Con saves were 15, 15, 9. Took an additional 3 damage)
Taran is able to find a recessed, sheltered cave to camp in nearby. The five of you move deep enough in that the wind can't reach you, and build a fire that starts to thaw out those of you with frostbite.

You camp out, and Caelius makes hot chocolate that you all drink. By the morning, you all feel much better after the storm, and leave the cave to press on.
OOC: You all can LR, and it included food, drink, and delicious hot chocolate, so that level of exhaustion is gone.
What'll we have today: 2
Okay, activities for the day, please. No roll is needed for this encounter, at least the start.
After a full nights sleep, and the wonderful drink,Taran was up early. Watching the dawn, he used the shifting colors of the sky to reorient himself and point them back in the direction of the lair. After collecting the rope and helping break down the camp, Taran once more took the lead to scout ahead for danger and lead them safely through.
The second day of travel passes far more quietly. You make your ways through the mountains, the cliffs rising around you. You make camp that evening in a sheltered valley, and are winding down for the night when suddenly the clash of metal on metal rings through (most of) your ears. But you all see as suddenly ghostly figures on a battlefield form from the air around you, wearing armor in ancient styles and bearing the familiar sigil of the Unity. A platoon of transparent Shield soldiers are led by a massive figure in spiked armor, bearing a huge sword. The platoon is engaged with monks in Adaran clothes, who are mostly faring well...except for the ones around the lead figure, who are being absolutely decimated with every swing of the figure's sword. As you watch, a monk is thrown back by the figure's sword, and goes through a tent--and Vishal. The spirit lies bleeding on the ground for a moment before dissipating into white light.
Anyone trying to figure out wtf is going on, give me a History or Arcana.

The sudden sounds of combat cause Taran to immediately twist and dive forward, rolling and pulling out his crossbow to level is at the apparitions.
The few seconds it takes him to realize that they don't seem intent on turning on the living feel like an eternity, as Taran tries to figure out if this is a threat or merely an echo of the past.
The monks suddenly withdraw from the lead figure, leaving a path open for a kalashtar in flowing garments who seems to glow a little brighter than the other spirits around him. He raises his hands, and spectral spikes form in the air, shooting towards the hulking figure as the kalashtar runs at his armored enemy.
Akuma initially moves into a defensive stance, shadows licking her fingertips as her eyes narrow at the fight. However, after a moment of studying the battle she slightly relaxes and shakes her head. "The manifest zones are creating a time echo. I don't believe they're any danger to us..."

“It’s a manifest zone to Dolurrh, realm of the dead. Different from Mabar. The large figure as the Inspired form of the kalaraq Ulakhun. They are currently stuck in a gem in the Kaashta Keep vaults. This could be the final battle for Kaashta Keep in which Ulakhun was bound.”
"The relevant equation is: Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read." - Terry Pratchett
"M-Mister Caelius th-thinks it i-is fr-from D-Dolurrgh." Taran says lowering his crossbow but not putting it away, "H-He s-says th-that th-the b-big o-one is... Th-the In-Inspired who l-lead th-the assault on K-Kasshta Keep. Th-the one sealed. H-he thinks th-this might b-be the final battle."
Taran looks looks at the others, "You d-don't th-think...he's sealed so s-saying h-his name w-wouldn't be d-dangerous.. R-right?"
The kalashtar and leading figure engage directly, the kalashtar's graceful whirlwind of spikes against the pure force of the figure's massive blade. Slowly, the kalashtar's spikes hit weak point after weak point of the figures armor, and its movements grow slower.
Taran can't help but become entranced in the spectacle of the fight, taking careful note of each strike, how it was aimed and how it neatly slips past the enemy's armor and flashing blade.
Maybe... maybe he could pull off similar strikes, one day...
The kalashtar seems to be winning, when suddenly words in another language rumble forward from the figure, in a deep, menacing voice.
Quori (so if you know Quori you can read this):
"You use your bond to my traitorous sister well. But it is still only the bond. I am a true kalaraq, unfettered by mortal limitations."
A spectral spike the same dark color as the figure's spirit manifests behind the kalashtar, driving into his chest. He falls to his knees, blood dripping from the grievous wound. Suddenly, all the spirits twist to look at something you can't see, and the entire scene vanishes in a blaze of silver light, leaving you alone in the valley, the light of Aryth shining down from above.
OOC: Feel free to do any rp you would like now that the echo is gone. Then, once you're ready for the next day, give me updated daily activities and roll a Perception. Once I have a Perception from everyone, I will move to the next encounter (day 3).
