You finish your conversation with Carou, who provides you with some extra rations and then returns you to Luiri. "Luiri will guide you to the ring of storms, and beyond if he so wishes." Luiri begins leading you through the mountains. You've lost a few hours, but it's quickly made up as he brings you through the quickest routes.

That night, as you're building a fire (a necessity in the cold), he points at a ledge several feet up and nearly twenty feet away. "I will sleep there. See you at sunrise."

Vishal nods as he says, “Stay safe and we’ll see you then as well.”

"D-Do y-y-you re-require an-any f-food, L-Luiri?" Taran asks, having trailed the closest behind the Yeti, paying careful attention to the routes and signs. Learning this could aid them, if the worst occurred. "Al-Also, w-w-we m-may tr-train, d-during th-the n-n-night, pl-please be-be c-cautious. W-We d-d-don't w-want accidents." 

"Can hunt for myself," Luiri reassures Taran. "Will be careful."

Caelius looks at the yeti and signs,

"M-Mister C-Caelius w-w-wishes y-you s-s-safety wh-while y-you h-hunt, Luiri." Taran translates.

Luiri grins. "Will be fine. See you soon." With that, he turns and lopes up the mountain.

The next morning, Luiri keeps his word by bounding into camp at dawn, the crunch of snow probably waking up the non-deaf of you. Once you're ready to go, he begins leading you through the mountains again, happy to share information about his methods with anyone who asks (looking at you, Taran :D).

As the morning goes on, everyone please give me a Perception.

Taran would ask questions about signs, how Luiri knows the quality of the snow at a glance, how he knows which areas are buried chasms and which are simply depressions, ect (I would ask more specficic questions, but my knowledge of outdoors is minimal, and mountaineering is not a skill I have to ask the types of questions an Expert like Taran would have.)

Perception: 14

You all notice a smudge of white on the mountainside about a mile down, looking almost like an avalanche...moving sideways along the mountain?

Taran, Vishal and Kaori:

Taran would point out the creature, and ask Luiri if it is dangerous to have a creature from Lanmia so close to our path.

Luiri shrugs. "Like all wildlife. Don't scare it or anger it, not dangerous to us."

"It's so cute....." Vishal says in absolute awe over the white bear. 

Luiri looks at Vishal. "Want to say hello?"

"Yes!" Vishal says instantly in childlike wonder

"Slow, careful, gentle," Luiri instructs before starting to lope down the mountain towards the behemoth polar bear.

Akuma gives Vishal a concerned look, glancing over to the large bear before sighing and following after them, muttering quietly under her breath... "Yes. Let's just approach the giant, possibly dangerous, polar bear... For 'pets'. What could go wrong..."

Taran hangs back, about 80 ft from the group traveling to see the bear. He'd seen plenty of Lanimania animals far too closely in the past. He did have a few things that might scare the behemoth off if they ended up spooking it though.

The massive bear swings its head around to examine you all curiously. As you approach, it seems relaxed, lowering its head to sniff at you, nostrils the size of your head flaring and relaxing.

Vishal grins and gently holds his hand out for the bear to sniff, gleeful as a child.
