Akuma quickly dodges out of the way, wincing as lightning glances off of her body despite her efforts. Shielding her eyes from the sand and dust, she shifts into a more defensive stance, prepared for whatever the others decided to do, whether that be a fight or a retreat.

The last thing Taran sees is the arc of lightning lighting up the cavern, a brilliant tree of force.

Then it slams into him, and darkness claims him.

The Inspired sets her hand on the orb. "They're here." Her eyes glow gold, and her demeanor changes as she takes you all in, saying in a very different voice "You again. You have all been pests long enough." Silvery armor in the sweeping, jagged style of the Inspired forms around the woman. "Well done, Siepha. I knew you were meant for more than staring at the stars with those old lizards."

Akuma, Kaori and Vishal are up.

Vishal lets out a small growl as his eyes glow blue and with a wave of his hand suddenly a fist surrounded in blue flame appears, attempting to punch Nirdaya in the face. As that is happening Vishal bends down and taking out one of his healing potions make the unconscious Taran drink.

Scratching to get the sand out of her eyes, Kaori stumbles to where she saw Caelius get knocked unconscious and kneels beside him, laying her hand on his chest. Brilliant light comes from her hand and life returns to her friend. When she's sure Caelius is breathing, the Kenku lifts off from the ground, flying above others a bit as she finally gets the sand from her eyes.

All 5 LoH to Caelius, 24 Con save for Sand, flying 30 feet into the air.

Akuma lets out a growl of frustration before quickly darting her way around the dragon, hissing as she can't quite make it to Nirdaya. In instinct, she quickly grabs two daggers, attempting to throw them at the dragon to distract it from the others, or at least potentially do some damage to it. 

Dagger Throw 1:  Attack: 17 Damage: 7

The first of Akuma's daggers bounces off of Siepha's scales, while the second flies far wide. Siepha hisses, low and angry. "I warned you."

Initiative order: Lair Action, Siepha, Taran, Caelius, Inspired, Akuma, Kaori, Vishal

Rather than making good on her collapsing threat though, lightning arcs out from the wall of the cave, striking Caelius, Taran, and Vishal.

Taran, Caelius and Vishal should make a DC 15 Dex ST or take 8 lightning damage (this is an all or nothing, not a save for half).

Books is sad she doesn't get to use her crit from the Readied attacks, but Siepha also takes to the air, roaring and flying at Kaori as she slashes and bites at the kenku.

The bitter taste of one of his own potions pulls Taran back from the abyss, watching in horror as he watches Kaori take a massive blow from the airborne dragon. He rolls to the side as the lightning sparks around them, avoiding the blast.

Mister Caelius is down, struck by the electricity, that as Taran bites his lip and tries to focus past the panic, that is his first priority. He rips a potion free from his bandolier, tipping the potent concoction of Ephedra and Bluewood sap down Caelius's throat (Heal: 11 )

Taran is already moving though, before seeing the effect his potion had on the sorcerer. Running underneath the Dragon, he pulled out the improvised sling he had made wrapped around the stone. Whirling it twice as he slid to a stop near Akuma, he let the orb of darkness fly free, clattering to the ground behind the Inspired.

(Moving 30 ft to J13, tossing the stone 30 ft to P7.

It creates a 15 ft radius sphere of Darkness (as the spell) so it cuts sight off completely from the platform)

Taran screams up at the Dragon. "WHY! WHY S-S-SIDE WITH THOSE WHO W-WOULD SH-SHACKLE OUR MINDS?"

 Caelius stands up and a black labrador puppy appears at his feet looking worried. The sorcerer points at the dragon and the shadows from the wall jump and engulf the dragon. Darkness fills the area but Caelius's eye's glow and all the party members can see through the darkness.

The dog's eyes glow similarly and it runs through the shadows, transforming into a hulking shadowy dog, leaping for the Inspired. Caelius backs up as far as he can.

I cast darkness (all the pcs can see through it), summoned hound of ill omen at the inspired, and moves to f20 if that's possible.

HoIO initiative: 19

Smoke "appears" within 30 feet of the Inspired and makes a bite attack against them.

Attack: 10 Damage: 7

Darkness spreads through the top of the chamber and around the Inspired, but down below, you can still see what's going on with Kaori and Siepha. Smoke hits! The Inspired falls over.

The woman makes her way carefully out of the darkness, golden eyes flashing as she looks at Akuma and flicks a hand.

Akuma needs to make a DC 13 Wis ST or be paralyzed for 1 min. She can repeat the ST at the end of each of her turns.

Initiative order: Lair Action, Siepha, Taran, Caelius, Inspired, Akuma, Kaori, Vishal

Akuma, Kaori, and Vishal are up.

Akuma wisdom save: 9

Akuma hisses as she feels her whole body tense up, shadows starting to swirl around her in anger despite being unable to move. 

Lemme go! 15

Vishal, eyes still ablaze, holds out his hand as a familiar streak of radiant blue fire hits Nidoriya square in the chest, causing them to glow, giving the perfect target for his flaming fist that knocks them over the head, knocking them out. “Okay! Let’s focus on the dragon everyone!” Vishal says aloud to all his friends as the support is dealt with. 

Kaori grunts as the dragon hits her, panicking for a moment until the darkness sets in. Thinking the dragon can't see her, she digs through her pouch for one of Taran's healing potions, downing it quickly. With her newfound resolve, she swings at the beast four times, only finding purchase once.

"We don't have...to fight! You are better...than that. Let us...talk."

The Inspired falls to the ground. Kaori scores first blood on Siepha. Akuma can move again! Siepha seems to be able to anticipate where Kaori's attacks are coming from even without sight, dodging.

The ceiling above Kaori begins to crumble, sending rocks plummeting around her.

Kaori needs to make a DC 15 Dex ST or take 7 damage and drop twenty feet (if she'd been on the ground she would've been prone and buried). This will not provoke an AOO, fortunately. Rolled prior: River failed the ST.

Initiative order: Lair Action, Siepha, Taran, Caelius, Inspired, Akuma, Kaori, Vishal

Siepha soars back out of range of the darkness, seeing the fallen Inspired, and roars. "There are plenty of types of shackles." Lightning gathers around her jaws as she lands. "Talking. You sound like the Guardians. Always talking, never doing anything!" Lightning blasts out from her mouth, striking Taran and Vishal.

DC 16 Dex ST for half of 56 lightning damage.

Initiative order: Lair Action, Siepha, Taran, Caelius, Akuma, Kaori, Vishal

You are all up.

Once more Taran finds that time seems to slow as he stares at the awe-inducing power and might of the Storm Guardian. As the brilliant force strikes and sends him tumbling back into Oblivion, he wonders if the Lady of Storms will be furious that he dared to challenge one of her children.

(Taran is out, even the half of 35 would be enough to drop me to zero, and since I'm top of the order...

Caelius runs over to Vishal and administers a potion to the cleric. As Vishal comes to consciousness, Caelius points to Taran, a myriad of emotions playing out on his face, and then at the exit. Caelius then heads back out of the cave.

Healing to Vishal: 12

Vishal nods looking at the others and calling out, "Regroup!" As he makes his way to Taran and putting his hands over the rogues heart unleashes a big burst of warm healing energy into the rogue. As he does this his flaming spectral fist goes to punch the dragon.

Taran gasps as the warmth hits his chest and steadies his fluttering heart, he stands, disoriented as the world keeps flickering in and out of focus. He stumbles over to Akuma, pouring a potion on her burns. (Heal 7 Akuma, bonus Action)

They had to spread out, prevent her from hitting too many of them at the same time. So, Taran grits his teeth and runs under the dragon once more, splitting her focus as he pulls out his crossbow, and firing up at her.

"N-Never? Y-You th-think w-w-we n-never act? Wh-What a-are th-the l-lives I-I've s-saved, th-the lives I-I've t-t-taken if n-not ac-actions? Wh-what ar-are the t-t-terrors and th-the sh-shames I've f-faced in th-this war? M-My tr-training, M-my sc-scars? D-Do y-you tr-truly th-think o-our l-lives a-are s-so em-empty?"

Moved to F9

As Akuma regains feeling to her body, she narrows her eyes at the dead Inspired before turning her attention to the dragon. Seeing some of the others falling back, there's a moment she considers it as well, but her eyes land on Taran. With a hiss of determination, she darts her way next to the dragon, attempting to hit any weak spots and distract it from the others while having a slight flanking position of Taran (if possible).
