Bert shoves the rag back in Gum Gum's mouth and goes out to find anyone else in his party who's interested in not being eaten by goblins (I'm assuming Krakkan was there with Bert?)
"So Gum Gum has not been a particularly helpful interviewee. He, and I'm assuming it's a he, seems to be saying that they came from somewhere else and found the town like this, though I'm not certain about that. They are interested in looting and don't know where they people are. His theories on where the stones came from were... unclear. He didn't mention giants."
He sighs. "Most importantly to our health and well-being, he indicated very strongly that he wanted to eat us, and said in particular that I would taste nice. So I'm not sure I want him free to loot more cooking implements. Seems like we should put him out of his misery, or leave him tied up for a prolonged period of time. I don't know that his testimony bodes well for the continued existence of his compatriots looting the rest of the town."
"Ideas? Feel free to talk to him, he understands Common in a way."
We should go check the keep. It's the only place we haven't looked yet.. Then perhaps we could wait for nightfall and see what the Greenies do. It's not much of a challenge to take them all out, but I don't want to end up Greenie Breakfast tomorrow morning!
Zook simply smiles back at Kella, his body language indicating that he had not expected an answer. It was simply a rhetorical pondering, meant to show her that gift giving and good deeds should never have to be answered, if they are truly given with the spirit of pure generosity and open-handedness.
With regards to the issue at hand, he side with Hawk. "I agree, we should go investigate the keep and see what we find there. And I'm also for staying here for the night and getting an early start on the morning tomorrow. As for Gum Gum here, I do not think we should just kill him, but I also think that we should not just turn him loose while we're still here. That's just inviting trouble. Is it safe to leave him tied up here while we go outside and explore, and is Kella ok with that?"
"I'm fine with checking out the keep," Soar says to his companions. (What time of day is it now?)
"Should we go and apprehend the other goblins roaming around the other buildings and secure them so that they don't attack us while we're trying to get to the keep? If not, then let's be very, very, very careful moving around. And sure, if Kella wants to watch Gum Gum that is fine by me."
"I too am curious about the keep. If we've searched everywhere else that is the only place I can assume the townspeople may be. As for the goblins, I'm not apposed to taking them out before moving to the keep, I don't want them attacking Kella once we leave if she is to remain here."
Bert is good with trying to knock out or take down the angry goblins before the keep since it's likely they would see a group of people trying to get to the keep and come attack us anyway.
”Then perhaps you would like to accompany us as we search the keep, Kella. After all, there is safety in numbers. You appear to be very capable, but I understand that you don’t feel comfortable being here alone with a single goblin, let alone four or five that are still wandering around the village. It could be decided later whether you want to travel with us beyond Nightstone, but at the very least, sticking close to us right now as we finish securing this area would provide additional safety for all of us.”
"I feel like I will be a burden in combat, and I am happy to stay here, make sure it is safe for you to return to. But if you tell me to go with you I will."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hawk approaches Kella, and puts a hand on her shoulder (in a gentle manner), looks into her eyes, and says:
Nobody could ever be a burden to me! But we surely would not want to put you in a position of discomfort, and we surely can take care of a few Greenies on our own. Be safe.
He then walks out of the Inn and heads towards the east tower. Preparing his shortswords, he will get close silently, then burst open the door to surprise the Goblin and attack!
Stealth: 15
Initiative: 19
(If he gets a surprise round or goes before the Goblin in initiative, here are the attack rolls:)
Investigation: 18
You can't tell more than they are kind of similar.

(Krakkan was there, he figured you were handling it okay so was just looking threatening.)

Mandaway shuffled his way back inside, " Kill or capture goblins. Go to the keep.....hopefully theres someone hiding there that knows what happened."
He turned towards the door ...
"I too am curious about the keep. If we've searched everywhere else that is the only place I can assume the townspeople may be. As for the goblins, I'm not apposed to taking them out before moving to the keep, I don't want them attacking Kella once we leave if she is to remain here."
This female human seems to know how to take care of them...
Hawk exclaims while pointing towards the dead Goblin shot down by a bolt.
But, I agree, let's go knock out some more Greenies!

Kella speaks up. "I might have managed to kill this one goblin but I got lucky. I also stand no chance if more than one comes through that door."

" Did you want to come with?", Mandaway queried from the doorway.
" I need to go round and collect the other bodies for burial at some point after we've secured the place."
" Keep first, or lil' angry fellas?"
Greenies first! Who knows what awaits us in the keep!

" Uh...Hawk just left...", Mandaway said uncertainly at the door.
" Follow or...?"
"Follow!" Bert says, following Hawk. Stealth 20
If he gets initiative: 23
Bert does not get initiative. The goblin dies from the first hit.
