Rose nods and gets ready to move along with the others, suggesting the group try to be as stealthywas possible despite knowing she herself is quite loud. Once about 15 min in she will grant the party the benefit for her night vision.

Walls. The walls are hewn stone. In a few areas, they are dressed with well-fitted stone blocks.

Light. None unless otherwise indicated. (However due to Rose's blessing, light is irrelevant.)

Genome more or less tells you I was never allowed beyond the entrance, so all I know is there is a deep pit there in the corner. Oh and it's very dark for people who can't normally see without light. And I shouldn't have to tell you that the Spider is probably in the deepest part, attempting to gain access to the forge.. if they haven't already succeeded. the group then gathering together somewhat hastily, and a few spells being slung in preparation, to bolster stealth, armor, and reflexes. With Yue guarding Genome after Genome was allowed to move aside.
Well you all have fun in there. I don't expect to see you again, but who knows. And I have upheld my part of the bargain more or less, and so have you. So I suppose I will atleast wish you all luck. Ta.
With Planning done, and Genome walking away casually, Gwen speaks up. Well, I for one have no idea what we will be facing, nor do I really fully understand the stakes here. I was just coming down here with Ja'Ree, and Dot to find Rose, but then.. fate it seemed had another plans. I just wish I didn't have to have my ass beaten for it... But that was then, and this is now. And we didn't get all the gold back, but we got some of it. And it's still a hefty haul.
So lets take out the villain, reclaim the mines, right history, and then, I'll sing us a ballad to remember it by! I haven't been very bardlike the last few days since my rescue, but the situation hasn't really allowed me to be. And I'm sure Rose has noticed I've been exceedingly quiet. But enough of that, we gotta hurry. And I agree with Rose.... we need to try to be atleast quiet, or whether there are any traps or not, we may just bring down the entire place around us, if there are any monsters in other other than the Spider. So let's go.
With everyone more or less set, you all head into the entrance, Yue following behind Malman once Genome had left. The entrance starts out light enough but as time passes, it gets progressively darker, and eventually Rose casts her blessing of sight, making it so everyone can see perfectly, despite the dismal darkness. The tunnel itself is long, and winding, seemingly natural, though there are some places that were obviously worked through. Every so often, you all hear the sound of waves crashing against a shore, or a cliff in the distance, much like how one hears through a shell when placed by their ear, but it lasts only a few long moments before going back to silent.
It gets slightly louder as you all progress, and within a few minutes, you all find yourself in the beginning of what looks like a dwarven stronghold of some sort. There seems to be an ever-flowing breeze that you all somewhat felt before but once here, it caresses your skin cooly, which in summer may have been comfortable, but right now its crisp, and biting. The rhythmic thunder of pounding waves echoes throughout the mine, loud enough to make the stone underfoot shiver. The mine is cold, damp, and surprisingly drafty
The entrance tunnel leads into a large cavern supported by a natural pillar of rock and containing three stalagmites. In the western part of the cave, behind the column of rock, are three bedrolls and a heap of ordinary supplies—sacks of flour, bags of salt, casks of salted meat, lanterns, flasks of lamp oil, pickaxes, shovels, and other gear. Amid the supplies, you see the body of a dwarf miner, dead for at least a week.
The northeastern section of the cavern has collapsed, forming a ten-foot-wide, twenty-foot-deep pit. A sturdy hemp rope is tied off around a nearby stalagmite and dangles down the side of the pit, at the bottom of which is a rough-hewn tunnel heading northwest and east.
Open Pit. Climbing up or down the wall of the pit without a rope requires a successful DC 15 Strength (Athletics) check. A character who fails the check by 5 or more falls and takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage per 10 feet fallen, landing prone at the bottom.

Malman required no blessings of vision. If offered incidently however, he politely declined and carried on without missing a step. If anything, there was more a pep to his step, as being underground for any dwarf felt like returning home. Even if the Mosshammer's no longer lived deep in the earth as they once did, it was a sense none lost. He suspected Rose might've felt faintly the same, assuming she was a stout, and the old blood ran thick enough in her veins. But such idle thoughts are soon cast aside upon enter a much larger chamber.
Much is taken in the first sweep, but its the body of the dwarf that leaves Malman the most wide-eyed. Without thinking about it too much, he at least creeped over as hurriedly as possible to check the dwarf, confirming his death, but also feeling in his gut that this... was one of the missing Rockseeker brother's Gundren had spoken of. At a glance he couldn't tell which of the brothers, but then that didn't matter in the moment. "See you in his halls, brother of stone." He whispers, and closed his eyes for a moment of respect. Then he opened, his face harder, and grip visibly tightening on the staff.
Looking to the ledge, and likely seeing at least one person spying the rope, Malman stalks his way over to investigate. The drop didn't look bad enough to do too much harm. But no better, he made a point of strapping the staff to his back, a word in druidic for gathering the strength of stone, then with Yue under arm, makes a point of going down the rope first or the next closest thing down it, whispering to the others, "Northwest tunnel. Could be dead end. Could be not. But best we take. Fastest way to deep given dwarven work."
Once at the best and assuming nothing intrudes, he promptly heads for the passage; the sound of waves reminding him in passing of the long journey that took him so far north...
Stealth: 13. Athletics: 8. (This is assuming it's required to get down the rope with Yue safely.)
Cirrus picks up a lantern, thinking that if they survive, they won't need to be stealthy as they leave and can feel free to see without relying on Rose's aid. He starts to pass by the flasks or oil, however, since he has magic and can easily light the lantern himself. But then he stops. And he remembers using the brandy and the stirges. Then he turns around and picks up as many of the flasks as possible [Raiketsu, how many flasks are there?].
Cirrus wants to follow Malman because he knows that any time they spend deciding which way to go is time lost, but he wants to be sure they go the right way, so he whispers after him, "Malman, wait. I know we're short on time, but this cavern could be massive. If we go the wrong path, we could find ourselves going miles in the wrong direction." Cirrus is going to take 10 minutes to cast speak with animals and ask like a bat or something if it can lead the group to a drow in the cave (describing what drow look like using terms an animal could understand).
(If I cannot get an animal immediately then I do not do this. Every other time I've used this I've been able to talk to an animal immediately, but if I can't do that this time then it's not worth the time and I will instead do the stuff below.)
If the thing in the spoiler can't be done then I do this: follows Malman because there's really no way to know which way is the right way and they need to hurry. If possible I will be relying on Passives Stealth (25) going forward, and Passive Perception (16) for any dangers ahead.

Malman gives Cirrus a perhaps unfair, but mildly aggravated look. Him, a dwarf, in his home terrain as it were, was not being trusted to navigate one touched by the kin. Even as distant as the clan had been with the deep, there was a rightness to the course. Subtle things in the formation and working of the stone that no surface, let alone a clear child of the air, could understand. And it is that revelation that leads him to sighing and shaking his head, but relenting in the end, if only to avoid unnecessary tension within the group.
But before the first minute even fully passes, if Cirrus hadn't made clear his intentions, having not been warned of the bard's particular talents, then he asks frankly, "What is doing? Communing with earth?"
If answered honestly, he responds with:
"Won't find beasts here to speak to. Were you not paying attention? Air is wrong here. Magic too potent. Any beasts you find here now will not of kind one can speak to favorably. To warped by now. Changed. Perhaps even too intelligent. If need be, my staff can invoke same miracle. So, no point in wasting further time."
If not, or denied one:
He frowns and looks askance. But after a moment's indecision, nods to himself, and opts to at least advance 30ft into the north most passage to scout it out at the very least while the ritual is being done.
Cirrus will respond honestly, and once informed that there is no hope of communing with the local fauna, he cancels the ritual having not spent a full minute. He
follows Malman because there's really no way to know which way is the right way and they need to hurry. If possible I will be relying on Passives Stealth (25) going forward, and Passive Perception (16) for any dangers ahead.

You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Cirrus collects a few items from the nearby campsite, as Malman confirms that the corpse is in fact dead. His intuition is right, and this one looks like he either is, or could very well be a relative of the Rockseeker clan. Once thusly confirmed, Malman takes only a moment to judge the distance of the rope from the edge, and aside from squeezing Yue just a tad bit too hard, he otherwise makes it down the rope with nothing more than a burning hand.
Cirrus had been reminded that no creature had been seen in the last two days aside from themselves and genome, and Yue, who had managed to keep it down, but clearly wasn't fond of being here, as animals were significantly more sensitive to changes in the world around them. Cirrus, realizing there wouldn't be any normal animals to speak with, aside from Yue, chooses to save time, and follow Malman.
Rose followed soon after, showing just how deftly she could head down the rope, practically performing tricks as she took in the wondrous new vistas. Though the area she descended into was rubble, there were still portions of the walls that still held on, if only so much. Practically stripper-poling her way down. Gwen whispers down just loud enough to be heard as Rose descends Yeah... I think this is the first time I've actually been inside one, though I've heard a lot about them. On the plus side, that means it should atleast be sturdy and relatively 'square' so no awkward hallways. before jumping to the rope and descending herself. Followed then by Burgee.
Malman leading the group down in the area as he heads for a tunnel to the northern side. It only takes a minute to get through into more recognizably worked corridors. This area consists of numerous intersecting passages. The ceilings here are only six feet high, and several of the passages end in partially excavated rock faces. The hallways seem to have missing pieces of wall here or there but otherwise the hallway is immaculately clean, and free of dust o other debris.
Both Malman and Cirrus note that this .. unusual, for a mine this old, even if the Spider were here, to be effectively spotless. Rose however is, for better or worse, apparently dizzy from her spinning and showing off, causing her footfalls to be significantly louder than the others, luckily thanks to Malmans spell, it's muffled enough to only echo through the immediate area and not likely down any further halls.
15 minutes have passed. The party is currently 2 squares below 2, and 5 squarees to the left of that point. In the \ hallway.
(Okay but it's very important to me to know how many flasks of oil there were. I am taking as many as I can physically carry.)

"This not right. Foe would not waste time on cleaning house. Not yet.... And dwarves not waste much enchantments on such a thing." Malman tugged at his beard. "Hn... Be on your guard. Seen pattern like this before, but... can't recall meaning. So either way, stay on gaurd." On those whispered notes, Malman takes a look between the two passage ways before nodding to himself, and advancing along the \ hallway, wanting to keep to along where construction had still been in progress in order to either reach the inner sanctum faster, or at least be able to ease navigation as the group advanced deeper into the mine.
If need be, he was prepared to rope around eventually if the path terminated without a door or passageway leading deeper inside, intending to take the first door or passageway "northward" while keeping the unfinished tunnels to the left as much as possible.
(I assume for now the stealth check from last is ongoing.)

Rose nods to Malman and pretends to zip her lips shut to indicate she would be as quite as a mouse. A mouse in heavy armor but a mouse nonetheless. Trusting the dwarf to lead them in the right direction Rose keeps her eyes trained upwards, wary of any spiders or even stirges getting the jump on them. She would also take this moment to give everyone her blessing of sight to endure their dark vision was extended.

Burgee, Gwen and the others all attempt to remain quiet, with Rose being the loudest, but the majority of that noise was swallowed by Malmans spell. With several of the group trying to keep an eye out, and being still blessed by Rose's charm. The hallway was clearly half-done, and was likely meant to be a transport hall rather than a storage one as it led directly to the entrance. Where the walls were completed, mostly seen to the side-paths, intricate carvings depicting dwarves, halflings, and humans working together within the mine. Though it seemed relegated to the labor of mining and relocation the carvings were nonetheless beautiful even in their mundacity.
Far in the distance, you can all hear a faint, sickly sound that hadn't been there before. The sound of something moving what you assumed was very slowly, with sickening 'schlorp' and fweep sounds like someone pulling partially coagulated blood off a wall over and over. Sounding like it came from deeper into one of the more worked-on hallways. Though all can hear it, none can see it.
Malman, both for the sake of the haste the party needed to complete this mission, and the pace at which whatever it was seemed to be going, the groups decision to avoid all unnecessary combat, chose to press on, atleast for now, following the \ hall northward. After passing a single hallway to the left and a single hallway to the right, the half-finished hallway eventually opens up into a larger tunnel. A still pool fills much of this cavern. The water is dark, revealing little of what might lie within. The shore of the pool consists of a thin layer of broken shells from strange, pale mussels, and a fishy odor hangs in the air. A set of steps climbs up to the east. A sluggish stream flows out of the cave to the northeast.

Malman eyes the two paths with an almost equal degree of trepidation. While the River path was -- appeared to be the most direct course, But how deep was the channel? And would the staff's magic be enough to mute their passage through it? And where did it flow, if not potentially outside or dead end at some crack?
Before doubt can completely erode his confidence, Malman's expression hardens as he looked to the steps heading to the east. "Be ready." Is all he whispered back to the others in warning. Then, it is off up the eastern stairs, and pressing on quietly into whatever lies beyond. Assuming he has not lead the group in an awkward scenario, he keeps the northern walls to his left, and heads along the first break in the path that might redirect them northward again.
But he knew -- remained ever alert and concerned of whatever had made the strange noises to the south, and might yet occupy any fully worked path they may yet be forced to tread anyways.

You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
(That's odd, I could have sworn i said it was 3 somewhere but i don't see it. Either way, there you are.

Burgee simply shudders as they enter the passages, unnerved by their current state. His eyes enlarge as he nods along and points Rose to acknowledge, Right. Quiet.

Rose nods along silent and continues to follow the dwarf. Trying extra hard to silence her footsteps Rose pushes forward hoping not to run into whatever was making that sound. Should they come across something hostile and it attacked them Rose would prepare to give it a taste of kneecaper.
