Rose smiles and nods, pulling the scroll from her pack. She mutters the incantation and then snaps her fingers, the noise completely muted. As the scroll fades and its magic takes hold she bows silent and draws her weapon, nodding her readiness to move forward.
Silence fills the area you're at, encompassing most of the home, including the first twenty feet or so of the staircase, providing easy access to check the interior out below without fear of discovery outside of a chance meeting. The cottage contains dusty furniture draped in webbing, but nothing of value, unless you value dust as a material component. However, no matter how hard one looks, there seem to be no other doors aside from the main entrance, and the staircase itself.

Seeing no other course, and seeing as most everyone was at-least reluctantly willing to press on, Paavu, followed by Rose, then Gwen, then Cirrus and finally Burgee, all start to make their way up. The first 15 feet, they are still covered in silence, before Paavu began to hear sound again. Letting the others know the silence bubble was gone from there on out. And they still had another twenty or so feet to go. The floor is still solid, and the remains of Ash Corpses having been destroyed by some spell or another is seen along the walls, likely some sign of a battle long ago. But they are just flash-points like the aftermath of the atomic bomb, not actual bodies.
Paavu makes his way up the stairs, shuffling sideways as the rest of the group follows shortly after him. When sound comes back, Gwen hums as softly as she can, and Paavu feels empowered and inspired. The stairs finally level out, and lead to an opening with no door. Paavu peeking his head around, he almost immediately spots the dragon, poised, ready, and waiting. Without alerting anyone as he's too interested in a fight, and whether the dragon is a dominant or a sub for some reason. [Draconic] Vile creatures invading my lair?! You are brave, or fools! Thinking a dragon would be unprepared?! he braces as he hears it inhale.... and not even a moment later, vile, acrid green smoke expels in a semi-thick plume from the dragons maw towards the door. Most of it hitting the wall s to the side, but the central plume slithering its way down the staircase, hitting everyone except Cirrus and Burgee.
Not a moment later, the very tower itself seems to come to life as centered behind Paavu, roots and vines spring up from the wooden stairs grasping at everyone in the party, where they are, though the dragon doesn't see everyone, it is aware there are more people behind him. The vines grasp at your feet, and the staircase becomes difficult to move within, if it doesn't outright lock you in place.
Party is up. Conditions below:
Poison breath hitting everyone except Cirrus and Burgee, DC 14 con save for Paavu, 14 for Rose, and 13 for Gwen. See poison breath damage to determine what you take.

Distracted in considering an "option" over the next, Paavu can get no word in edge before the 'beast' starts hissing at him. As if everyone casually spoke her tongue, of all things. Agitated and half-coughing up a lung from the poison breathe, any further thoughts of "Option B" flees the goliath's mind.
"Hmph! Maybe put sign then!? One small folks can actually read!" Paavu had the gull to chide in [draconic], a mix of ire and righteousness tainting his voice upon hearing at least one body collapse behind him. He then strode forth, snapping vines off his form while shifting to the side if possible to get out of line with the door, but otherwise making certain to be in punching range of the beast.
"And not even have decency to talk or greet first. Little better than Beast. One--" He started to grow in size, not by much if there's no room, but certainly enough for notice. "Better off being put down." Paavu shakes his head, as he drew forth morningstar. "And to think... Bah. It matters not." His last words are spoken in [common] before he suddenly lashing out with the morningstar, smashing at the closest arm in place. Then in a surge of adrenaline, he is sweeping up, aiming to at least clip a wing or the neck with the sharp edges of his weapon.

Rose's heart sinks when she hears Gwen fall. For a moment the burn of the poison didn't bother her. Paavus words seemed distant and foreign (though they are at least foreign). All her allies within a 30ft radius gain the benefit of its protecting granting 8 temp hp. Hopefully this would serve to keep Gwen alive as it did with Cirrus. Rose then called forth for Selûnes Axe to aid her in battle. Next to the dragons head the radiant crescent moon axe appears in the air and swings down at the beasts neck

As blood and spittle falls on Roses head, Gwen collapsing in a lump against the stairs and cold, mossy stone wall. For Rose, time seemed to stop for just a moment, emotions raging within her. The vines wrap mercilessly over both Rose's and Cirrus' feet are too entangled by the sudden appearance of vines and roots, locking them both in place. Paavu, unhindered by the vines, presses forward, charging the dragon like a true warrior, his first blow banging into Venomfangs left front arm. The second one, following up and bashing the dragon right in the head. The dragons head lolling for a moment, finding itself stunned completely for one round. Still managing to stand, but unable to act or react.
In her pained fury, Rose unleashes her aura, and everyone nearby feels the light of Selune fill their hearts, and rejuvenates their spirits, everyone gaining 8 TEMP hp. Her passion healing everyone to the max it could, but her fury causing her holy weapon to miss by a large margin. Burgee flowing in on wings of the wind, launching a bolt of electricity but something in the air messed with the ions in the spell, and it shoots straight at the floor.
Gwen feels the healing energy surge through her, but the sheer potency of the venom keeps her stuck on the floor, breathing hard, still coughing blood as the poison ravaged her lungs. Cirrus panic heals Rose, giving her a slight boon to her health.

Cirrus struggles to figure out what the right choice is, the dragon is vulnerable to attacks, but Cirrus cannot get a good shot from here, not to mention the wounded women around him. He decides that if he can help his friends kill the dragon as quickly as possible (as Paavu ordered), there will be time for healing later. Hoping that the dragon is so dazed that it cannotreact in time, Cirrus casts Faerie Fire centered on the dragon. I'm hoping it is too stunned by Paavu's onslaught to succeed on a DC 13 DEX Save. If so, any attack roll against the dragon has advantage if the attacker can see it, and the dragon can't benefit from being invisible. Paavu, taking advantage of the dragons stunned state, charges forward, and uses himself in a hail-mary attack, launching himself up. The morning-star landing almost where he intended, hitting the muscled area between the spine and the wing, causing the dragon to hiss like a serpent spitting FTSSSSSS!!! clearly reeling from the blow. And despite it's best effort, the recent blow from Grols weapon, though the knife itself missed, the following explosion did not, as shards of painful ice stick into the dragons lower belly.
The dragon, still unable to fully move when Cirrus launches his own spell its unable to resist, and being young, it doesn't have its older-kins legendary resistance, the dragon glowing 50 shades of purple, while Paavu, in his battle-focus, ignores the effects entirely. Burgee as well.
Finally shaking off the effects, but feeling extremely injured the dragon takes stock of its situation. It tries to shake Paavu off, but he manages to hold his ground, maintaining his balance, just barely atop its back. Seeing it has no other choice if it wants to live, the world around the dragon pulses for just a moment and a jagged wall of thorns appears from the dragons back on the floor, reaching ten feet in the air, just enough to hit most of Paavu's legs . The dragon, knowing what it was about to do, avoids taking any damage from its Kamikaze maneuver, however Paavu and Rose aren't so lucky. Both taking 13 damage, and Paavu is tossed straight up, being shunted from the wall, whole Rose is shoved into the nearby arcing wall, smashing her head against it.
As this is all going on, everyone hears a familiar voice say I thought dragons were supposed to be stronger than this, and you wish to entreat with the spider?! Pathetic WYRM! Paavu can now see the previously hidden figure of the same Drow woman who had been let go before, just as she flings a vial into the room from the hole in the roof, where the very tip of a rope was attached to, it would have been impossible to see from Paavu's prior vantage, but as he flew threw the air momentarily, it all became visible. The vial shatters against the ground, and the wall of thorns ignites in a rainbow of colored flames, an entire 10 foot section of it lighting almost immediately.
With Paavu off its back thanks to it's natural affinity to nature (Lair action) the dragon quickly moves to the same hole that the drow was in, saying Entreat with the nine hells, drow! as it moves out of the room, attempting to take flight, and escape to live and fight another day. Gwen remains stable if in pain, lying on the floor.
Sitrep: The dragon is moving out of both Paavu's and Burgee's spaces, you may AoO. You will prevent it's escape if you can land a nat-20 hit and deal at-least 8 damage. There is a wall of thorns blocking off Cirrus, Gwen, and Rose from the rest of the group, and oddly colored fire is currently devouring the thorns 10 feet at a time.

With so much to track one after the other, Paavu almost doesn't even bothers barking out orders after only just managing to clip the dragon. "To the Nine with you dragon! And to the nine to you as well, Drow, for interfering!"He yells up after the duo.
"Burgee! I'm opening the way. Get that drow. Everyone else! If you can't put out the blaze, mend and leave the tower. Make way around to Drow Rope. Swiftly!" He calls to the others before turning to a nearby wall. Judging his angle of attack to be right, throws just enough of his weight and shoulder arm into breaking an at least decent size hole. Seeing the rope dangling outside, he drops Grol's morningstar to grab hold, then waves Burgee on over to his side.
(I'm assuming that the drow is not currently visible)
"Rose, I can make you float. Up and down as I please. Lateral movement is up to you though. I could maybe use it on Paavu, I don't know if it will be faster. Or I could save it for the drow in an attempt to immobilize her. Thoughts?"
(Cirrus is waiting to get Rose's input before acting)

Rose turns to Cirrus and shouts Save it for the Drow! Try to stop her I'd you can! I believe in you Cirrus! She then charges forward hoping to reach the dragon. At the same time Selûnes Axe moves to try and keep up with the dragon and if either or both are able both axe and hammer come down to strike the emerald ****.
Paavu charges forward after giving the fleeing dragon a love tap. the dragon clawing it's way towards the Drow, Paavu slams into the wall, and almost puts too much force into it, managing to catch his balance before he lost it. The combined effects of the weight of the dragon and the now hole-in-the-wall, cause the rest of the wall to crumble. Rose pushes into the wall of thorns, unfortunately, she becomes pierced by the myriad of spikes. before losing consciousness, she manages to swing her moonhammer, but.. misses the dragon. Roses body suspended in the thorns.
Before he's able to drop the morning star, the Drow, who was on the wall slips and falls off the crumbling surface, landing with a sick thud on the ground, though clearly not dead, and their form morphing into.. something else not quite visible from the tower.
The dragon slips down, but, taking advantage of the height, gains the wind beneath it's wings, starting to fly off to the south towards the Triboar Trail.
Seeing that the dragon was getting away, and hearing Rose gasp in agony, Burgee instead turns his attention to the oddly colored fire that was spreading to the thorns towards Rose rapidly, as another ten feet is consumed, he launches a ray of frost at the thorns near where Rose has became hung in and the fire has spread to, both to destroy it, and prevent the fire from spreading to her. While he doesn't destroy the thorns, his focused beam puts the oddly colored fire out, isolating it from the other, which continues to burn in place, but doesn't seem to be moving.
Sitrep: Drow has fallen nearly fifty feet to the ground below, there is a gaping hole in the tower wall. 10 feet of the thorns is flay out gone, the other is half destroyed before Burgee's quick thinking put it out, Rose is stuck in the remaining chunk of the wall, and *will* take more damage very soon. Rose is unconscious, Gwen is semi-conscious but unable to move on her own. Cirrus is trapped on the other side of the last chunk of wall with Gwen, while rose in in the wall, between Paavu/Burgee, and Cirrus/Gwen. The dragon is successfully fleeing and cannot be caught. The oddly colored fire doesn't seem to be going out, but also doesn't seem to be moving, yet thanks to Burgee.

What do you do?

With so much to track one after the other, Paavu almost doesn't even bothers barking out orders after only just managing to clip the dragon. "To the Nine with you dragon! And to the nine to you as well, Drow, for interfering!" He yells up after the duo.

Selûnes Axe: Attack: 6 Damage: 4

Combat is effectively over, for now.

(I'm having a hard time visualizing, is the drow below us? or is she just lower on the tower than before but still above? or did she fall off the tower completely and is now lying on the dirt outside?)
"Please...Selune...If my being here is truly your will...I beg of you...guide my power..." Cirrus lifts his staff high into the air, powerful healing energy radiating off from it., "I will not let another life slip through my fingers!" As a Hail Mary of sorts, he casts Mass Cure Wounds. Everyone in the party who is within 60 ft of Cirrus heals for 20 hp.

(not sure what to do to fix that. I don't know what happened, but the number on the d20 changed when I changed the color of my text. And again when I added that last sentence. And again.)
