You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Sildar carefully reached for the sheet of paper. And unrolling it, he would quickly read through the text and frown. And where did you say you found this? Where in the redbrands hideout?
"The hideout is under the abandoned manor just outside of town," Vimak says. "At least one of the children in town can lead you to it." He continues to watch Sildar and tried to think strategically.

Sildar grunts, looking the note over again. Then it seems Glasstaff has slipped away again, and that my friend Sildar was caught up in this mess... with a sigh, as the tension in his body released, Sildar quickly sheathed his weapon and said My apologies but you can hopefully see why I would doubt you. All too convenient that you would show up, even if you were hired, they would know about our plans, and then people would be led straight to their deaths. Did ANY of them even survive?
Bastille, cold and uncaring as usual answers, "There was one tailor who survived but she was left with one arm. Other than that, many villagers who were captured before we even arrived on to the scene were rescued. The rescued were mostly women and children."
“The red brands had imprisoned them and were warping their minds into becoming obedient slaves. The victims had overheard the red brands talking before they vanished. We believe they are going to Cragmaw Castle.”

"Do you know anything about Cragmaw? Will you take us there and help us destroy the Redbrands?" Vimak says. "Who else in town is strong enough to attack them with us?"
None. If any here had been strong enough to do what you ask Uh... sir. The redbrands would never have been an issue in the first place. Nor do I know the location of Cragmaw Castle. I have heard whispers that it was north of here. But the specifics escape me. There is a new arrival in town, ranger by the looks of it. Don't know their name but they may very well know. Rangers know their way through the forests and lands of the area better than a warrior from Waterdeep. Speaking of which, nay, I cannot join you. My duty binds me to report this back to my superiors in the Lords Alliance. So I must make haste to do so. Unfortunately, unlike you adventurers, I am duty bound. I am not free to do as I please. But i will send prayers to selune to guard your paths.
And thank you Cirrus for telling me. While the loss of life is unfortunate.. atleast it wasn't a massacre entirely. I'll send my regards to the tailor on my way out of town on the morrow. But I would suggest speakign to the ranger. They will either be here buying supplies or selling them. I would suggest Barthens Provisions.
"You're welcome slidar. The children in question are with the town master." Cirrus will step closer and speak in a hushed tone, not explicitly trying to hide from the party, but quiet in case of listening ears, "by the way, do you know of an Agent of the Lords' Alliance coming through here? Does the name Halia Thornton ring a bell? Can you perhaps confirm that she truly is with the Alliance?"

Sildar initially tenses, as the air in the room still hadn't quite settled down, but quickly relaxes when Cirrus begins simply speaking I am an agent of the Lords Alliance, and I have not heard of this woman before. While i cannot say she is not, I believe I would have been informed prior to my arrival if there was another agent working in or near the area to better relay information. I am glad that the children are safe as well. But Halia Thornton, Is she not a member of the local Miners Guild?
(Forgot that she said that. huh.) "Yes, she is. That's good enough for now. Hopefully we shall be successful in making these villains pay for the lives they have taken." Cirrus rejoins their party, "I know we have to go north or north east of here to get to the castle, but I would like to try something that might get us less vague directions," he says while holding up his pipes.

Bastille says, "The dealing of the Alliance or Miner's Association are of no concern to me. I wish to slay the those responsible for locking me up with my own hands. If whatever you are going to do will aid us in that cause, then do it."
"What are you thinking of, Cirrus? I agree that a more specific direction would be helpful," Vimak says. "Can we try what you're thinking of on the way to Barthen's Provisions? I think we will need all the help we can muster to not be captured again."
Before I do this can I quickly go to Barthens or some other place and buy a compass? Using that to point us to the north, Cirrus will begin leading the party in that direction (unless anybody objects or has something to do before we go). Once they are beyond the outskirts o the city, Cirrus puts his pipes to his lips and begins playing high notes at various lengths, imitating birdsong. For the next ten minutes as they are walking in a straight line, Cirrus is casting speak with animals as a ritual. He plans to attract a bird and try to ask if it knows about a big building in the mountains to the north of here. If the bird could lead them to it that would be great, but if not, directions will be fine.
