Elvish and Goblin are my other languages. Can I read or tell anything about the runes? Since it isn't an enemy that caused the glint, Kal stands back up and hollers back to the group
Found som'en!
Assuming I can't read the runes, I then reach back down and pick it up with a spare shirt, edge of the bedroll blanket, or whatever else is handy. I then take it back to the wagon to see if anyone else can determine anything about the runes.

(Not proficient in acana but Niche would defs want to check it out.)
Hearing that there was something that got found, a very bored Niche sticks her head out from the front of the wagon eagerly to inspect the item, “What’d ya find? Oo pretty dagger.”
Your checks failed. Niche you have never seen these runes before. Branah, you may have seen similar runes before, but you don't seem to recall anything that would help you decipher these runes.
Varax, you seem to recall that these runes are of a fairly old magic. You don't know what they mean but you sense that it is related to some sense of sentient being. There is a communication rune on the first one, the second rune that you don't know about, and the third rune you think is related to some sort of enslavement or imprisonment/servitude.
Varax do you share with the group what you uncover?
Varax looks it over for a while, running his finger over the runes one-by-one. "There are three distinct effects on this dagger. One for each run". He traces along the first one "This one shows some sort of communication, but with whom or what I cannot say. This one" He says, tracing along the third rune, "is a mark of servitude or enslavement...though it could be imprisonment instead, perhaps?" The Knight gives it a careful twirl in his hand and tests its weight and balance. "It may best be left to my care until we can get a better grasp of its purpose, yes?"
Fine by me. It’s down to Kal though he’s the one who found it. Bran climbs back up onto the cart. Makes you wonder why someone would leave a perfectly good magical dagger out here in the middle of nowhere
Varax, as you are the first to touch the blade with your skin, the blade begins to bond to you, attaching to your hand until the process is complete. You feel a being enter your mind and sift through your thought. You begin to recall everything you have encountered over the span of your life, even memories you have forgotten. This occurs over the span of less than second. Everyone hears a high pitched voice come from the dagger. Danger! There is danger coming for you! My old master still lives! With that a portal opens 30 feet in the air from another dimension. What appears to be a young boy floats out of the portal. Finally, I am rid of that dagger, not that it is not useful on occasion, but it is wrong more often than not.
Varax, add a 'Broken Dagger of Warning' to your inventory. It has +1 attack +1 damage.
"What the-" He is cut off by the boy floating in the air "Ah so this is your dagger? " He holds up the weapon. "And to whom may I say we have the honor of speaking?"
I TOLD YOU!!!! The dagger yells at everyone. The boy, still floating in air, silver hair flapping in the breeze with his white robes replies. Eh...Well it is your dagger now. I am Ramous, and I created the dagger to give council and advanced warning of an attack, it will help you recall anything so long as it is bonded to you, but when I made it I did not specify what kind of danger. It could be something as simple as stubbing a toe, or maybe you will eat some bad food. It is rarely correct in what it warns you about if it is specific. It also does not always work as the future is constantly in motion. I could not break the bond from the dagger without sealing myself in another dimension and waiting for someone else to create a bond...well without killing myself that is. Because of the bond you can't get rid of it. It has a range of about 500 feet and it will teleport back to its normal location you store it at. It CAN talk to you by using a message but it seems to enjoy being loud and telling everyone know.
Niche was initially taken aback by the boy that appeared from the dagger but by the end of its long explanation, she let out a little snicker, “Hey look, a paranoid dagger with a overly talkative ghost. Uh, Ramos, you made a volume control feature to go with this thing?”
Kal, the boy ignores you and your threats and responds to Niche. Well actually the dagger does not hold a ghost. It is a demon, the blade harnesses the demons power to make the bond. It was an oversight when I made it to use such a weak demon, but alas some lessons are learned the hard way. Returning his attention to Kal, he says as he snaps his fingers. It would behoove you to learn from this situation for the future.
Niche gives a little exasperated sigh, “I was talking about y-” she was about to make another remark but seeing that the boy is very much corporal and just did a thing to Kal, she decides against making any remarks that will anger the boy, “Ya know what, never mind, guess we are stuck with this loud annoying dagger. Any other instructions that’d be good to know since it doesn’t look like there’ll be a manual?”

"A dagger? Let me take a look, if you don't mind." Varax will look over the dagger. Perhaps he has run across these runes before.
Arcana: 7
Branagh can read Celestial do the runes look anything like that. He'll make an arcana check while looking at the dagger too
