"Do not push yourself my turtle friend. I just feel that in our journey our talents may work well together."
Nedrick looks like he wants to ask something but hesitates.
"I am sorry that you have had to suffer the ignorance of others. I do have to ask though... How do you feel... Morally about things? Are you OK with possible redistribution of coin from others hand to yours? Or even... The removal of life from those who's ideals conflict with our own?"
tripping over his own feet, mort stumbles in between nedrick and TT, patting her on the back.
”That was quite a scuff!” mort takes a big swig from his flask and hands it to TT. “Heal up friend, the beasts we, face within the manor will be even more cunning then this...*hiccup* lobster”
mort turns to nedrick and whispers, “ I fear we wont all make it out alive...we’ll have to dramatically change our strategy...” *hiccup
"The world must remain in balance, human. Living creatures die, only for their essence to return to the earth and be reborn anew. But what these dark riders are doing now is disrupting the natural order of the world. They must be stopped. For my peoples' sake, and yours..."
"These coins you speak of only hold value to others of your species. The conflicts that your population experiences due to their existence is..."
TT pulls out a gold piece from her pocket, suddenly remembering the seafood chowder it would buy her in Uldama.
*Rumble* *grumble*
TT re-pockets the coin, then rummaging through her belongings for rations that she had gathered previously. She and turtle begin to eat furiously.
*om nom* *om nom nom*
(It doesn't seem like you will get any more information from her at the moment.)
Nedricks grins if only slightly at TT's response. He knows TT will do what is needed.
Nedrick then turns to Mort.
"I have to say I agree with you wizard. I feel that with our delay the fires you arranged will be out and we will be facing a zombie horde. Do you have any more ideas wise one?"
*hiccup...”I fear our delay will prove most unfortunate, not just for us, but also for the citizens of myrtelgrove. we have two options. We can depart this wretched cave and attempt to rescue the people from our botched plan, or we continue the path and hope that we find the strength and luck to aid us in the upcoming conflict.
Mort takes a big swig from his flask.
”me personally...*hiccup* id sail a boat to some exotic beach, find some girls that will have me, and drink myself happy.”
The cave is full of miscellaneous animals including snakes, spiders and bats that are starting to leave the cave for the evening. TT stats clicking at the bats. The bats warn of man beasts to the northwest and magic to the east. Home is to the southwest they click.
The snakes slither and give similar information. Just with a lot more Sssssss.
(Chuckling softly) Comrades the dance of the death will claim us in one way or another. It matters not. Let us press on to the east. Those beasts found magic and I would like to put my axe into that necromancers heart.
Hunding, with a new found bit of power leads the group around the corner to the east. He looks into the dark and see a tall figure of about 8 ft. Without hesitation Hunding charges in with his axe yelling "The death god will teach you!" and slams his axe deeply into the figure. No blood. No screams. This figure seemed unaffected. Mort focuses his sight and recognizes that the figure is an orc protection totem. To help ward off the unnatural and the ghostly spirits of the dead.
The group continues on until they reach another split, one north and two south. One passageway is blocked off by a man built wall, while the other is open. The sound of dripping water is heard loudly coming from the south which excites TT into investigating. The group sees a deep pool of water with stalactites and stalagmites formed around it. There are stones emerging from the top of the water and on a platform in the middle, there appears to be a wooden box.
It is now TT's turn to decide.
OOC: You guys are still free to explore the room but if TT decides what room to go to next (north or the western passages)
As Mort enters the room he says “Untouched by this decrypted cave...fascinat----” and trips on a rock and says "Ow what was that?" and a familiar voice in his head replies "You are a stupid one. That was a rock."
Nedrick looks at the pool of water and is able to discern that there are small pieces of what appear to be clothes and bodies floating around. Mostly eaten. He recognizes the familiar marks of the chuul's claws on some of the ripped clothes floating about. Knowing that the chuul prefers to rest in water, this is where he must of came to ever night.
As Mort regains his composure he does not find anything off about the wooden box.
Nedrick takes his times and leaps from stone to stone, safely navigating the water. As he approaches the mound, he slowly approaches the box and with a single movement flips open the lid to find a teddy bear with his arms folded around a small, thin piece of wood about a foot long.
Nedricks nods knowingly at TT.
"Do not push yourself my turtle friend. I just feel that in our journey our talents may work well together."

"I certainly worry for the town and its inhabitants. Can we really face the necromancer after struggling so against this beast?"
"We could leave, but would we really fare better against the undead as assaulting the town"
"Rhaucred, brings valid points. I feel facing this raiser of the undead would not be a fruitful venture."
Nedrick looks behind him in the cave.
"We set the town in motion and are responsible for what occurs there. I believe we should take the fight to the undead lowering the manors defenses."
Nedrick taps on his rapier with his finger.
"You can be certain the Dark Riders will send a few to investigate. Perhaps, we can obtain one of these individuals for a... conversation?"
*hiccup* if we make haste, perhaps we can catch them while fighting the fires. This could permit us the advantage of an ambush.
TT, feeling some strength returning from her meal, checks for life in the cave that could be of use to her party.
Perception: 18
She then uses her ritual spell to communicate with what she finds, in hopes of learning more about the cave.

"Too easy..." he says to himself.
Nedrick would like to look at not touch at the rocks protruding from the water as well as the stalagmites and tites. Does he notice anything off?
