Petro prods it with the dagger, just enough to prick it but not really hurt it yet.

You prick it and it squeals, recoiling and squeaking as a single drop of blood sits on the dagger 

Ondrea looks after Angorn and gives a frustrated sigh.  We have to do something with it, we can't just let it follow us.  Does anyone know of any way a creature like this could be used to spy on us?  Does it have to see us?  What if we put it in a box, then we could let it go when we got where we're going?  She gestures helplessly towards the rangers retreating back.

Petro rolls his eyes. If it means that much to you. He'll cast sleep after moving the rat out enough that it won't affect any of the party members.

It falls asleep. If you wish, Louisa has a bird cage you can put it in and cover up, or if one of you has a better container you can use that. 

(I mean...Petro was just gonna dump it in a sack. So yeah, let's go with birdcage.)

The rest of the day is uneventful. There is chittering every now and then from the rat, and occasionally the sound of the rat running against the side of the cage, but those sounds quieten down after an hour or so. Night time falls and it is time to make camp. Angorn is able to find somewhere to set up camp in a decent location. (Aiden seems to be MIA)

During the whole rat scuffle, Kra-osh just silently watched it all play out, not really thinking it's evil.

Morning comes round and no one saw anything out of the ordinary. Assuming the watches are the order you posted, Angorn you hear a small amount of noise coming from the rat in the beginning of the night but it settles down after 10 minutes

Petro wakes up, grumbling, and takes his post in the back of the 2nd wagon. perception 15

Ramos  again takes up his position at the front of the caravan, ready to run to the aid of either the wagons or the scout ahead.

The next couple of days go without an issue. 10. But to back track a little, is anyone feeding the rat in a cage? Or despite all its rage is it being left to starve? (that 8 was relating to random encounters not to the rat, any rolls for the rat depend on answers to the question)

Yeah, Petro will slide in a few pieces of his rations. He's still not convinced it's just a rat.
