Ribbit ribbit, ribbit
You make your way up the small rivulet until you reach a point where Thrash indicates you have to dismount and slog your way through the swamp. As you are passing by a large pool there is a sudden disturbance in the water and five frog-like creatures leap out mouths agape and brandishing spears leap out and .... The only party member not attacked is (1-Gilly, 2-Griffin, 3-Hallard, 4-Thrash, 5-Tiro & 6-Zin) [3]
One of the Bullwugs lunges at Griff with its spear {Attack: 5 Damage: 8 } and then follows up with a bite {Attack: 7 Damage: 5}. Griff vainly attempts to dodge the lunging spear and bit is ultimately unsuccessful.
A second Bullywug lunges at Hallard with its spear {Attack: 10 Damage: 7} and also follows up with a bite {Attack: 6 Damage: 5}. Possibly because of his crippled leg Hallard is just as unsuccessful as Griff in dodging the Bullywug's attacks.
A third Bullywug leaps out of the pool directly in front of Thrash and lunges with its spear {Attack: 15 Damage: 4} before attempting to bite the large lizardman {Attack: 14 Damage: 3}. Obviously more used to fighting in the difficult terrain of a swamp, Thrash easily avoids the creatures attacks.
A fourth Bullywug leaps approximately 20 feet from the pool directly at Tiro and {Attack: 22 Damage: 5} as well as {Attack: 21 Damage: 2}. However as it thrusts its spear at Tiro it [9] the spear slips and gets stuck in a nearby stump. The creature [18] manages to tug the spear free at the same time as it bites down on Tiro.
A fifth - and hopefully the last (hee hee) Bullywug launches itself at Zin spear extended {Attack: 18 Damage: 2} and then {Attack: 14 Damage: 3}. Its spear thrusts deep into his thigh just missing the Femoral Artery.

OOC: Sorry for some reason I wasn't getting notifications for this thread. I have just caught up.
Hallard would insist moving under his own steam if he can but acknowledges that he wont be able to help with much carrying with his lame leg
Pre-Post
Hallard curses in a gravely voice (primordial) as he gets hit and then bit. He then chants a phrase in aquan and and large tentacle of swampwater swings into the frog creature.
Attack: 15 Damage: 8 Cold Damage
He then follows this up by throwing a blast of energy at the same creature Eldritch Blast

As the creatures leap out of the water and start attacking his friends, the blue of Gilly's body darkens. He growls in primordial, attemping to curse three of the frog-like foes.
14: ... whelp, I can't see the results of any rolls tonight, so I'm going to just say bullywugs 1, 5 & 6. CHA save DC13 or hit with bane.

Thrash would hiss as the enemies attack, quickly deflecting blows with his large crocodile skull shield. "Damn savages" The lizardfolk would growl as he swings his flail towards the nearby creatures that had tried to strike him!

Griff obviously struggles to fight effectively in the clinging mud of the swamp and misses the creature. He frantically backpeddles - covering about 15 feet (half movement for difficult terrain) - in an effort to break contact but the creature gives a mighty leap and is suddenly once again lunging with its spear {Attack: 13 Damage: 2} and attempting to bite him {Attack: 18 Damage: 2}. Fortunately for Griff, Gilly's spell mitigates the effect of the creatures attacks [1] and they miss. In fact the creature [3] is obviously so badly affected by Gilly's spell that it {DC10[Wis] - 11} that it backs off 1-2 feet rather than committing to the bite.
The Bullywug attacking Zin oncde again lunges at him with its spear {Attack: 21 Damage: 3} and mouth agape {Attack: 21 Damage: 5}. However it to is affected by Gilly's spell {3}. Fortunately for Zin the effect of Gilly's spell is sufficient that the creature does not thrust as hard with its spear as it could an Zin easily deflects it. However in deflecting the spear he opens himself up to a bite from the creature.
Another Bullywug then leaps out of the pond and attacks (1-Gilly, 2-Griff, 3-Hallard, 4-Thrash, 5-Tiro & 6-Zin) [4] Gilly. For reasons that Gilly cannot fathom this creature is unaffected by his spell and first lunges with its spear {Attack: 6 Damage: 4} and follows up with a bite {Attack: 16 Damage: 4}. Gilly, concentrating on his spell as he was, fails to see the creature in sufficient time to either deflect or dodge the attacks.
As a reaction to the attack from the fourth bullywug, Tiro fires a lightning strike with his [Tooltip Not Found] causing 11 lightning damage unless he saves (Dex DC13) in which case he takes half damage. Then Tiro has his action which is to strike with his trident into the fleshy part of the bullywug Attack: 19 Damage: 4 piercing damage.
He follows up by tossing his net in an attempt to trap the Bullywug, which does 0 bludgeoning damage. to hit: 24 (plus or minus any modifiers from the DM).

Just as the Bullywug's teeth bite down on Tiro the sky darkens just briefly and a bolt of lighting spears towards the Bullywug who (DC13 {Dex} - 12) fails to dodge. Tiro uses the creature's distraction to thrust deeply into its chest with his Trident and the creature collapses with a croak.
As Zin steps back the creature lunges forward with its spear {Attack: 9 Damage: 7} plus Bane effect {2} and misses badly. He then fires off a shot and quickly follows it up with another. With two arrows puncturing its chest cavity the Bullywug collapses back into the swamp with a groan.
The Bullywug attacking Hallard once again lunges with its spear {Attack: 8 Damage: 5} whilst simultaneously attempting to bite him {Attack: 22 Damage: 2}. Fortunately for him, Hallard just manages to twist his body sufficiently far enough away that he avoids the creature's bite.
Meanwhile the Bullywug attacking Thrash also tries to stab him {Attack: 18 Damage: 5} as well as bite him {Attack: 11 Damage: 3}.
Hallard curses in a gravely voice (primordial) as he gets hit, bitten and and then stabbed again. He chants a phrase in aquan and and large tentacle of swampwater swings into the frog creature which he immediately follows up with a blast of energy. The Bullywug gives a croak flings up it arms dramatically and falls backwards into the marsh.
For all of his claimed expertise Thrash just waves his flail around ineffectually.
Gilly and Griff you're up next at the beginning of Round 2.

Thrash manages to continue to easily deflect the blows of the bullywig's but struggles to land a blow against the small creatures with his flail. Hissing loudly, he would stomp his clawed foot, digging into the earth before swinging wildly once more towards the attacking creatures.
Attack: 16 Damage: 4
(OOC: I couldn't believe my terrible attack rolls last round)
Griff realises that in this marsh the creatures have the upperhand and any further attempt to break contact will probably just result in the creature catching up again or throwing his spear and there is no way he could possibly get out of spear range. And since he is dangerously close to losing consciousness, he decides to go on the defensive and attempt to Dodge the bullywugs attacks until another party member can come to his aid.
If another party member is close enough, he would use disengage as his bonus action to allow someone else to enter melee combat with the creature.
At the same time he would be screaming like a raving lunatic that he is in a spot of bother & might need some assistance.

Gilly tries to backpeddles in a vain attempt to get a shot away but his footing is not sufficient stable for a accurate shot and the bolt flies off into the marsh.
The bullywug attacking Griff once more lunges forward and he desperately tries to dodge out of the way {Attack: 13 Damage: 9} and {Attack: 18 Damage: 5}.
Meanwhile the Bullywug attacking Gilly takes advantage of the Genasi/Firbolg fiddling with his crossbow and also lunges forward with is spear {Attack: 12 Damage: 4} mouth agape {Attack: 5 Damage: 2}.
Griff's ducking and weaving causes the Bullywug attacking him to [13] to slip and fall over, however it quickly regains its feet.

Tiro, feeling extremely confident after his swift dispatch of the Bullywug attacking him and being quite comfortable in the wet surroundings hears Griff's call for assistance and with a blood-curdling yell advances to Griff's Aid, driving his trident deep into the fleshy part of the bullywug with both hands.
Attack: 9 Damage: 5
Oops that damage should be 10 (if it matters - I used my to hit bonus, not damage (should be +2 not +4).
