The girl nods to Max, then puts down her crossbow showing her hands from behind the tree, "im coming out just to talk, please." She steps out with her hands visible. "Ofcourse we are wearing armour, have you seen the crazies out there. We dont know whats going on. But we know that us good people should stick together. We just need some supplies and maybe shelter for the night. Can you help us?"

Persuasion i added +2 proficiency and +2 persuasion 15
Persuasion is for when you are acting in good faith. What you are doing is Deception. Secondly you only get +0 to deception as you aren't proficient and have no charisma bonus. (Your persuasion bonus is only +2, proficiency but nothing from charisma) As you are new to the game and the nuances of the two skills aren't immediately obvious I'll let you revise your character sheet if you wish. That being said does the crazy lady believe you? 15
Aiming carefully, Thomas covers Genera with his crossbow, ready to shoot any viable target that shows in a window or door. He mentally asks Gamliel to fly above and spot for any of her boys coming from anywhere else.
OOC - shooting if he sees a bow or crossbow, but also looking around to make sure they aren't being flanked by the 'boys' exiting from another, hidden exit.
The owl sees on of the boys slip out the back and start to circle around towards Genera. He is armed with a longbow

There is some light from above so you see a short corridor leading to a store room. Exiting the other side of the room is another short corridor with a cell on one side. Inside are three men and three woman. There is a padlock on the door.

As soon as Genera hears Thomas's yell she jumps back behind the tree, grabbing her already cocked crossbow and letting loose at Ma Barker ( if shes still visible, if not then one of her sons)
George yells down: 'Things are getting kind of hairy up here gents - want to get a move on down there?' As he says this he tosses down his crowbar to Max.
He then turns his attention back to overwatch, ready to fire at the first person he sees attacking them:

OOC - As Thomas got a surprise shot, here is his Initiative based round
Gamliel flies down and batters the enemy with it's wings before soaring away, helping Thomas's attack. From hiding and with Gamliel's assistance, Thomas locates the spot where the foe stopped and fires again.

Ooc: do i reroll the damage and sneak ? Just incase
Damage 9
Sneak 2
You only reroll the attack roll, however the new roll is a critical hit so we'll take that extra damage roll. You don't get sneak damage as the archer is not surprised and doesn't have any of your allies next to him.
Sneak Attack1d6PHB, pg. 96
Once per turn, you can deal an extra 1d6 damage to one creature you hit with an attack with a finesse or ranged weapon if you have advantage on the attack roll. You don’t need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 ft. of it, that enemy isn’t incapacitated, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.
