OOC: Sorry with the hasty violence. I was trying to handwave some of the narrative to get us going again. As for trusting him? Not sure that would work as he'd have to be kept under a charm spell the whole time and, well, we already know he's trying to deceive us a bit. Still, I'm willing to backtrack as I did say she'd do it only if nobody had any other questions.
Also, now we know he was fudging a little on the altar question, can we pretend we followed up on that? Sarah would ask if there was anywhere or anything else they drew power from.
I don’t mind some back tracking as I overlooked your insight.
in answer to your question, the simple answer is “Yes” but it isn’t relevant to your situation here. They have other holy places out in the world. If you want to follow up on this later remind me and I’ll flesh it out.
Well, we should probably check the spiral room for anything of interest first and then strike out up north north east passage? Probably should alert Granny and Yachats.
Thomas agrees with checking out the spiral room the priest fled to, as well as checking further East and see what's around, since the large group of families was West of here.

Bed, table, chairs, dresser and a chest. And the winner is... Thomas. The opulent quarters has a chest that has some magical symbols on it (they are not obviously magical symbols). Also, there are some scratches on the floor that the dresser has been moved on a regular basis.
Thomas will spend the minute to cast detect magic, and suggests someone looks for a concealed door behind the dresser.

Aleister will look around, under the dresser, and then look to see if it might have been moved to gain access to something up near the ceiling. Does it appear anything else was moved around?

"Defonately warded or something. Nothing about the dresser interesting?
Investigation 16
After checking out the dresser, Thomas animates a little servant from one of the daggers and sends it to open the chest, getting everyone to keep their distance. "In case it goes boom." He also summons his mage hand to help. If its locked, he uses the mage hand to pick locks and the tiny servant to help.

"This is a bad idea" shouts Sarah. "Glyphs that go boom have an area of effect that completely covers the room and it may destroy fragile valuables."

OOC: Hmm, interesting. Murder Death Cults for everyone! Anyway, back to the game.
Sarah gets ready to move on, moving as quietly as she can and keeping a watchful eye out.

The spiral room has glyphs engraved on the floor that act as hobbles on mindless undead so that they don't wander away.
To the south is a storeroom that holds food of various types and the normal items of life (blanket, cloaks, utensils, tools etc)
To the north is an opulent living quarters.
A bunch of perception checks for the different areas please.

The symbols on the chest radiate magic. There is nothing concealed behind the dresser.
