"I suggest we sail up near Astoria and go up the river as far as safe, then go into the water and swim underwater the rest of the way. I've discovered magic to allow all of us to breath water for hours."

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
“If discrediting works, which will be really tricky, the pee-pee’s will remove him and that will have two major effects; first, it will get him out of our hair and second, it will send a message to the other pee-pee loyalists that they had better to toe the line, according to his high muky-muck or be replaced. But, assassination, on the other hand, will also have two major effects; the first would be the same as any discrediting scheme that works but, the second, now that will send the message that cozying up to the pee-pee’s is hazardous to one’s health.” Aleister seems a bit Borgian in his enthusiasm as he spells out the later option. “Which is why I’ll vote for removing the scumbag.”
"Assassinate. He can possibly recover from a discredit and come back for more. Simple, sudden and removes the threat."

We have a plan. You make your way up the coast for a couple of days (910) without encountering any trouble and then move onto the Columbia river (coming in shore after midnight to avoid being spotted). You find a good place to hide the boat about 10km from Deer Island.

Aleister smile is feral, "I can see well in the dark and none what use Darkvision can see me, so perhaps I should move on point about forty feet or so." He makes sure Longstrider, Barkskin and Spider Climb are refreshed. "If one of you would let Ofn ride on your shoulder, Terfysgeath will be with me. Should you wish me to pause or whatever, just whiper instructions to Ofn and he'll come let me know; I will do the same with Terfysgeath should any problems arise." His teeth gleam slightly in the dark, "Course if you, or I, hear the sound of battle, well that is message enough."

"And, when I'm alone, it's pretty hard to notice me, not impossible, but pretty hard."
"Well, I suppose I should introduce Hedwig. Thanks to Thomas' help, I managed to learn how to summon her."
With a near silent flutter of wings, an owl landed on Sarah's outstretched hand. In spite of the name, the ruddy brown and cream flecked owl was nowhere near the size or color of a Snowy Owl. It gazed with yellow eyes at the rest of the party and called out boo-book, boo-book.
OCC Does the party have access to 'maps', old road maps, atlases, whatever, if so Aleister would put us about Prescott, just a bit S of Cottonwood Island.

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
As the party is in the process of discussing their plans, they notice a black elk staring at them through the woods. A moment later a figure appears next to the elk, as if it was there the whole time. The tall figure seemed thin and pale, one hand resting on the handle of a needle like blade, another holding the belt upon which a shield hangs. The figure is adorned in loose leathers, and has long tattered black hair and an unkept beard. Following the elk’s example, the man seems to simply observe the discussion.
“Me, I’m just a wanderer. Your purpose is certainly intriguing. Mind if I tag along?”, as he speaks, the elk already starts moving in their direction, closely followed by the man himself.

Yes, that's one thing your people have been doing for the last eight years, collecting every map they come accross.

"You really want to do this overland? I'd much prefer going the water route, and they can't easily defend against it, but if you all are adamant on going by land, let's do it. " Thomas says, as he refreshes his own Longstrider, Darkvision, and cast Water Breathing on everyone. He will then have fly on himself as they travel, but walk as they approach. When the newcomer approaches, he fades into the shadows, dropping the disguise of a normal outfit. With a thought, Gamliel soars into the trees and readies to attack.

How do you want to do the approach?
We were underwater. I think we need to go by land once closer to the location.
“A grudge is one word for it. I’m Sullivan. I don’t expect you to trust me straight away, but let’s all be civil.”, he spoke softly, “So, are you going to be in a toss up soon, because if so I’d want a little time to prepare.”

“Ah! Yes!” Aleister expostulated. “A covert, sneaky and underhanded operation! I am up for it.”

"Well, they certainly wouldn't be expecting that," Sarah laughs. "So, discredit or assassinate? Let's see where this takes us."

"Should we go in with Invisibility? I think we can manage it in one trip."
OOC: We seem down a teammate. Or are they autopiloted?

"It seems we have company," Sarah speaks up. "Greetings, stranger. What brings you here, since you've heard our purpose."
