"Check the other set of rooms first," Sarah suggests quietly.
Perception (if needed) : 24
You check the other set of rooms and it is the same. Parlor, bathroom and bedroom with a couple in the bed. In the parlor is a nice portrait of a man and woman being given some honor by the Protector. Him you recognize.
‘Wait, let me cast something real quick’ Blaize quietly whispers and gestures to the group, not wanting to awake the sleeping inhabitants.
As if he was In fear of being spotted, Blaize nimbly casts ‘Pass without Trace’ on themselves and then ‘Silence’ on the sleeping people
OOC: How big is the room? And if we’re in the sphere how would we communicate?’
+10 to Stealth
+ No footsteps
+ 20ft of radius of sphere of no sound on a target (40ft diameter)
+ Immunity to thunder damage in sphere
+ Target is deafened
Silenece and pass without trace are both concentration spells so only one at a time.
Ahh ok then in that case I’ll cast ‘Pass without trace’
OOC: I wanna multi class into a wizard but don’t know any cantrips that are allowed. Because most of them are instantaneous

Fire bolt- Shoot a streaking ball of fire towards a foe and deal a measly 1d10 fire damage. Use eldritch blast instead.
Fireball - Drawing magic from your inner reserves, you unleash a devastating nuke that explodes in a circle, hitting multiple enemies, and burning them to a crisp with a godly amount of 8d6 fire damage. Make your DM’s fights look like garbage. It’s also a nice way of TPK your entire party and have them triggered at you for the rest of the week.
Sarah backs out of the room to inform her teammates.
"The left room has a portrait of our little lordling. He's there sleeping with what I assume is his wife. Why don't we lock and jam the door of the other rooms so we're not interrupted?"
OOC: I assume the guy in the portrait is in the bed?

Oh, you looked to see who was there? What a good idea. It's the lord. I doubt that the young man beside him is his wife.

Thomas shrugs at that and whispers back "Don't really care about that. I doubt many people do. If they are emulating Middle Ages medieval society, that kind of thing wasn't horrible even back then. The Church frowned upon it, but again it wasn't utterly scandalous. This is the 21st century, still." At that, Thomas sneaks over to the bedside of the Lord and positively I.D.s the target, waits for everyone to be ready and then strikes down with his magical sword.
Short Sword Auto Crit - Attack: 23 Damage: 20 plus critical damage 18
OOC - Because I actually got a natural crit, you can ignore the second damage roll.

Your characters would know that the PPA has a strong taboo against homosexual behavior (I forget that most of you haven't read the books). If this got out the Lord would be in deep doo doo. Far worse than any perceived shame that he has from his failures dealing with you lot. Just be aware that there is an option other than killing him outright.
OOC - We can retcon that, if everyone wants to. Not sure how we could have 'proof' of his indelicate act that would stand up to scrutiny. If we tied him down to the bed and the draw attention to his room or something, he could deny it or claim it was a frame job. And we don't have Geas or anything like that yet. :D either way, I'm open to changing to a non-violent solution.

Thomas stands close guard, in case the sleepers awaken. If needed, he will strike down at the Lord, or subdue the partner.

You search her room and take a look at who she has in bed with her. You'd swear its the same young man that the Lord has in his bed. Freaky. She has a box of papers, one of which is a prenup with some suggestive language plus some love letters that are obviously not from her husband. Back to the other room.

Sarah sighs. So much for interrogating the Lord. Well, perhaps the Lady and the Lover?
"Should we have a 'chat' with these fine people?"

Let's see if we can find any incriminating evidence in the room before we decide.

Nothing incriminating here. He is married and his wife obviously knows, maybe in her room.
Sarah then searches the wife's bedroom.
