"If anyone is in dire need, I can help but it will only work once." Have the serfs in the Towers, sharing with everyone while we rest up overnight, hobble the horses and gather all the loot up. If the serfs want to stay with us (which would be wise), we'll have them on horseback in one long train, Mage Armor them all the next morning for protection. We don't have people to spare to escort them back, do we?
“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
George looks the worst for wear. "George, if you give me a bit, I can heal you with my own energies. Unless someone wants to heal wounds an easier way?"
OOC - Life Transference. It's painful, but it works. Takes an hour, correct?

"Perhaps we should take a short rest and see to our wounds, then. Before that, we should question these men."
Sarah wants to know who their lord was and who in turn he was sworn to. She also wants to know if serf escapes were becoming a problem and if so, roughly how many have occurred. What happens to them after? Have they heard about any responses from the other settlements regarding this? Also, any news from Portland? Any trouble other than unrest amongst the serfs? How are the PPA's expansion plans coming along, anyway? Also any rumors about the zombies?

I'd want to know the strength and disposition of troops at their holding. Would also be open to any MMA who wanted to leave the PPA territories - life there wouldn't be great for most of them either.
I would want to send a few back without anything more than daggers with a written warning that any serf hunting would be punishable by death on our lands. Any MMA send back would get a distinctive scar on the inside of their right arm - a clear mark that they had been granted such a mercy once and would never again be so lucky.
Long rest for certain before we pursue the 'zombies'.
Then I say we send the serfs, the horses, the armor and any script or valuables from the MMA's and Knight towards the nearest allied settlement with a note of introduction.

40 MAA and 5 knights. They'll never talk about your offer to desert to the bosses but it will get around in barracks talk
Another 40 MAA plus 5 knights. There isn't a hope in hell that they will tell their superiors about your offer to desert but it will spread in barracks talk

OOC - Sounds like a good plan. Rest comfortably for the night, heal what we can, then spells on all the serfs of Magic Armor, unless they are wearing the dead MMA's armor. Get to know a couple well enough to use Sending on them and send them off. Thomas can give them a Sending call every few hours to check up on them until they reach safety.

You spend the day resting and curing then take a long rest overnight to recover from your damage. The next day you send the escaped serfs on to safety while you return to tracking the 'zombies'.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thomas forgoes his mundane horse and conjures up another Steed of black on black, it's near-silent hooves moving surprisingly fast on the trail. Helping if he can, he takes advantage of Gamliel's excellent eyesight to track their original quarry.
Survival with advantage (tracking) :10
Perception :21
OOC- Phantom Steed with Longstrider (110' pace) renewed hourly. Disguise self as Black Knight, concentration on Fire Arrows renewed hourly as well. He will scout when he can, moving back and forth along the column at the high speed the Steed provides.

You have picked up the trail again and follow for a couple more days - any encounters 147 You have the impression that they are heading to Mount Saint Helens

Noticing the apparent destination, Sarah tries to remember if there is anything in various folk tales or legends that might draw their quarry to Mt Saint Helens.
"Mt. Saint Helens blew up, didn't it? Is there some energy inherent in that kind of devastation that they'd be based there?" Thomas asks from within the illusion of his plate-clad dark Knight disguise.

It's a 3rd level spell so it takes 3 hours

Sarah also thinks it's a good plan.
Max 23/54
Em 24/44
Thomas 4/43
George 37/44
Aleister 24/35
Sarah 5/38
Aleister will createm some more Goodberies (10 I think) and will start working on Thomas and Sarah.
Thomas 7 +5 Plus 5 Goodberries
Sarah 9 +5 Plus 5 Goodberries
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
Cast 2nd lvl Cure Wounds on Thomas 7
Cast 1st lvl Cure Wounds on Sara 6
Then he will groan, "Argh, that take a wee bit out of me noggin, so it does," and promptly takes a little nap.

Tracking rolls please.
Tracking isn't something she's particularly good at but Sarah gives her best. She also keep an eye out for trouble or anything interesting.
Survival: 8

Can’t roll die on this phone, but Aleister was tracking zombies before so should be easy, especially in wolf form.
